Quote# 2961

Secondly, man was hunting them [dinosaurs]. Back in those days they called them dragons. They killed the dragons for meat. There would be a lot of hamburger in one brachiosaurus. You could feed the village for a while, right? Or because they were a menace, or just to be a hero; 'I slew the dragon.'

And my sister was playing around with an ouiji board, using a drinking glass for the pointer. She must have conjured up something because the chairs tipped over, the glass flew off the table and crashed against the wall. Then a green, demon looking face with red eyes and a yellow forked tongue moved around the walls and then disappeared.

If God called for a baby to be killed (as He did, in the O[ld]T[estament]), then He has a good reason for it. Who gets to define what a 'good' reason is? He does. Why? He's the Creator of the baby, and of ALL the rules in the universe.

I don't have to know who wrote it [the gospel of Matthew]. It is Scripture because whoever wrote it was divinely inspired.

[Violating the RR board rules by questioning a person's salvation]In other words, if you believe in Purgatory, you are surely lost. You have not found Salvation because you do not completely believe. Turn from false hopes and beliefs. Turn to Christ, not Mary.

Well, the problem with that logic is that YOU are the one that is claiming that purgatory exists, which as we all know is not Biblical; therefore, the burden of proof is on you, not the other way around.

Abortion is murder, the penalties should be the same regardless of the age of the vicitim. As far as leaving the country, those people get off scott free, as they do for any other crime which is a crime here, but not there. Those who 'assist' in murder(doctors, nurses, receptionists, owners of the clinic, parents, boyfriends, etc), should get the same penalties as those who assist in any other murder - the death penalty or life in prison.

I definitely prefer execution [as a punishment for abortion], because the cost of imprisoning 30 million baby murderers for life, would be in the trillions of dollars. Perhaps many states who dont have the death penalty, would change and reinstate the death penalty under the staggering costs of imprisoning so many doctors, nurses, and women.

Quote# 2977

[Arguing that God has a white beard]The reasoning that I used is this: God made man in His image, and men, naturally, grow beards; Jesus took on human form as a Jewish man, and ascended to Heaven in the form of a Jewish man; it was a DISHONOR for a Jewish man not to have a beard - therefore, Jesus had a beard during His ministry and also after His resurrection, and when He ascended to Heaven (it can be assumed that Jesus has kept the appearance with which He ascended, excepting that His hair is all white now, apparently [Revelation 1:10-16]); it can be assumed that if Jesus' HAIR is all white, His BEARD is also; God the Father is said to have hair "like pure wool" (Daniel 7:9). Therefore, it is most likely (almost certain) that God has a beard (it is practically certain that Jesus has a beard), and that it is white. We do know, though, that both God the Father and Jesus have hair white as 'pure wool'.

Quote# 2978

There will be all sorts of activities, music, fellowship, fine dining, sights to see, playing with animals/pets (most likely), discovery, creative activities (art, etcetera), and enjoying God's presence and fellowship unhindered by sin. (I also happen to believe that there will be sex in Heaven, though no marriage [there will apparently be no reproduction].) Of course, sinners [i][i.e. non-Christians][/i] love sin, so for them it most likely wouldn't be all that appealing (no adultery, no lust, no rape, no murder, no stealing, no lying, etcetera).

Quote# 2979

Let's get a couple of things straight (and at the risk of sounding fanatical) - neither I nor nor any of the other Christians nor you nor any of the other atheists have the right to disagree with God. You can make a claim to that right, but you cannot philosophically justify it b/c all human rights flow from Him (I don't expect you to understand that argument, either). Second, I seriously doubt you would personally be put to death. If the [theocratic] laws were passed, you (and many others on this channel), would probably silence yourselves. The few that didn't would be executed, and then the wholesale blasphemy you and your kind commit would stop.

But if you were executed, you would deserve it. So would Farrel[l Till], so would Mike, so would Greg, and millions of others. So would I, and any other former blasphemers. That's the indictment the Bible makes against us all - but there is forgiveness in Christ.

Quote# 2981

Guess what? I'm not happy with the ethical code the Bible demands. I'm not happy knowing I have to work toward restoring a society where people like you would have to be executed. I would *love* to let people live and believe whatever they wanted. But they can't. God doesn't allow it. And he demands every Christian, including Gryph, Roger, and Adam, to go along along in making this ethical lawsuit against you and your kind.

[Editor's note: Sam has since, thankfully, disavowed Christian Reconstructionism. An email dated Saturday, July 26, 2003 was received by the webmaster and states: "Hi Allan,This is 'Sam Krishna' - the guy who won 'Honorary Post of the Decade (the 1990's)'.Ouch. Yeah - reading that, that definitely sounds like me from 1995. All hot-headed, Pure Christian Reconstructionist, 'ethical lawsuit', etc.I want to apologize to you and anyone else I offended for making those comments. I definitely believe that 'Dominion Theology' is *A Bad Thing* and I tell people about that now. I was going through a particularly rough time in my life when that stuff came from my keyboard. I was wrong to say that - even Biblical truth and theology is quite a bit more nuanced, shaded, and subtle than Dominion Theologians would have you believe. While this email is not a repudiation of Christianity, per se, it is a repudiation of the volcanic fundamentalism of my youth. I hope you'll post the entire text of this email as a postscript to the 'Honorary Post'.Sincerely,Sam Krishna" ]

Quote# 2983

It's time to stomp out atheists in America. The majority of Americans would love to see atheists kicked out of America. If you don't believe in God, then get out of this country. The United States is based on having freedom of religion, speech, etc., which means you can believe in God any way you want (Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, etc.), but you must believe. I don't recall freedom of religion meaning no religion. Our currency even says, 'In God We Trust.' So, to all the atheists in America: Get off of our country. People like Gail Pepin (The Chronicle, Oct. 11) have caused the ruin of this great nation by taking prayer out of our schools and being able to practice what can only be called evil. I don't care if she has never committed a crime, she is the reason crime is rampant. To The Chronicle, please do not give atheists a voice. You do more harm than good.
