Quote# 86723

In all my exchanges with unbelievers, I'm always amazed at how much they act like they care for logic and reason. Anyway, Instead of writing a bunch words that might put you to sleep I will make this a little more entertaining:

A: You don't understand reason.

C: How do you know?

A: Because you don't understand Logic

C: How do you know?

A: Because you don't understand reason.

C: Ok, what's reason?

A: It's our only means of knowledge.

C: How about Logic?

A: Logic is our guiding principle.

C: Ok, so all knowledge is based on logic and reason?

A: Yes

C: How about that statement?

A: What do you mean?

C: Is the statement "All knowledge is based on logic and reason" based on logic and reason?

A: Yes.

C: Ok, well now your begging the question.

A: How?

C: Because you are relying on logic and reason to prove logic and reason.

A: Silence

C: Anyway, how do you know that you reason correctly?

A: I compare my reasons to the others.

C: How do you know they reason correctly?

A: Silence

C: How do you define Logic?

A: Logic is the guiding principle of the mind.

C: Is everybody Logical?

A: No

C: But you just said logic guides our minds?

A: Well, some people choose not to be lead by logic.

C: Why?

A: I don't know.

C: How do you know your logical?

A: Silence

End.

[on an open thread on "liberals" attacking Kirk Cameron's "freedom of speech"]

It's a technique they use to silence your voice. They use words like judging and hate but it's all B.S. They don't want you voting, speaking , or praying against them. They are on a mission and we are in their way. Keep voicing your concerns and feelings. You know what is right and wrong inside. . Peaceful mass non compliance.

Obama's goal is to indoctrinate students in public school, restricting the free speech of opposition, obtaining special treatment for homosexuals, distorting Biblical teaching and science, and interfering with freedom of association. Advocates of the homosexual agenda seek special rights for homosexuals that other people don't have, such as immunity from criticism (see hate speech, hate crimes). Such special rights will necessarily come at the expense of the rights of broader society.

Among all the liberal belief systems, the homosexual ideology is the most self-centered or selfish.

Quote# 86721

Dear Atheists: Welcome to the discussion.
I think it's just fine and dandy that you have a belief, and you have a support group for that belief.
However there ARE a few rules for people professing a religious faith, which you ARE doing.
...
You have to learn about your belief, so you can explain it. Since you now are now a religious zealot, it is no longer good enough for you to lean back in your chair and just criticize other people.
..
You have to now live as you believe and believe as you live. Since you proclaim your belief passionately, there is no room for hypocrites. Because you wish to base your life on scientific principles of absolute physical evidence and scientific methods, you may no longer follow astrology or any other occultist practice, such as tarot cards, psychic readings, etc. That means no more Harry Potter movies or books, unless you are really a “Satanist” pretending to be an “atheist”. No more vampire books and movies. Gambling, which is mostly depending on magical “luck”, to the atheist will now be frowned upon, because it truly is faith-based. You have to have a lot of faith to spend hundreds of dollars each year believing that you might win a million $.
..
I mentioned "scientific methods". Now, you have arrived in the world of science. You now must be able to "prove" everything. For example: You must prove evolution takes place by using real-life examples. If it's just bones dug up, that's not good enough. I want "proof" that a monkey can evolve into a man, not theories. If it’s “scientific”, then you should be able to reproduce it. If you can’t reproduce your scientific theory, then it’s only a theory or a faith-based belief. If your only proof is rolling your eyes and telling me how ignorant I must be, that's not proof. It's stalling. I also want proof that it is possible to create brand new life out of inert substances, so get out your chemistry set. To my knowledge, no human has ever done this before. Richard Dawkins did not have a very good answer when Ben Stein asked him how the first living cell was created. The evolutionist's general answer is:"a lightning bolt struck a pile of mud, and miraculously, a living cell was created that had its own internal organs, its own genetic code, and the ability to reproduce by itself until it magically developed male and female versions of organisms. If you cannot create new life in a laboratory, then all the theorizing about evolution is a mute point. You don’t have evolution if you do not have a beginning.

Just more Lies and homosexual propaganda from someone trying to justify an immoral sexual practice. I guess bestiality and sex with minors will be the next abhorrent behaviors to be championed the next group of fascists waiting in the wings for their chance. You say you want everyone treated equally but you hate God, Christians and everything they stand for. The so called LGBTQ community is the most prejudiced, selfish, and radical group I have ever seen.

Or may also be judging the church for not giving money to the poor when you never even gave money to the poor people of the streets. Or may also be judging the catholic church because you don't got balls to attack the muslisms or just to ignorant to judge the Buddhists. Maybe is that but i'm not sure"

Quote# 86711

A church youth group meeting comes to a horrifying halt when men bust in blind and bound the children and throw them into a van. But it was all staged by church leaders.

While at least one child was injured and traumatized, those leaders say they stand behind their "lesson."

Church leaders say this was a learning exercise designed to teach about religious freedom. But one girl was so shaken up that her parents have now gone to police.

A seventh grader is still traumatized, emotionally and physically, by a church youth group meeting Wednesday night at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Lower Swatara Township.

She had no idea what she was in for as she quickly went from enjoying herself to fearing for her life. Masked men stormed into their meeting and demanded the group of about a dozen kids get on the ground.

Then, while still bound and blinded, the kids were forced outside and into a van. It drove for a bit and then the kids ended up in the basement of a home on church property.

She says the pastor came out bloody, but Pastor John Lanes wasn't a victim, in fact he was a leader in what turned out to be a staged abduction to teach children about religious persecution.

Youth group leader Andrew Jordan says the exercise was never meant to horrify.

Pastor Lanza says moving forward they will notify parents first. but he won't stop doing it. He says the lesson is too important.

But for this seventh grader, that lesson left her bruised and with a different view of the church, saying she doesn’t trust them.

Police will only say they are aware of the incident and are investigating. We should point out the church says other children knew this was staged and say they did find the exercise beneficial.

[Why, in Leviticus the original 'law's was slavery not abolished?]

Because Slavery is not a sin. Slavery sets a paradigm for the believer. One must become a slave to God. To be a proper slave one must understand the concept of slavery. Therefore we must have a biblical example/understanding of what a slave is.

Quote# 86706

Pokmon has supernatural powers. "Some Pokmon grow, or evolve." This is facilitated by the "Energy cards" that "make your Pokmon bigger and more powerful." And what is the source of this power? It is the pantheistic power of the occult, not the supernatural power of God. I have found two cards that make this very clear (there are likely more). They are Abra and Kadabra. Yes, these are their actual names. "Abrakadabra" (or abracadabra) has been a word long associated with occult magic. Webster's dictionary defines it this way - 1) a word supposed to have magic powers and hence used in incantations, on amulets, etc. 2) a magic spell or formula. It is no accident that the two Pokmon called Abra and Kadabra are psychic cards with magical powers.

On the Abra card we read "Using its ability to read minds, it will identify impending danger and teleport to safety." Then there are the occult symbols on Kadabra. He has a pentagram on his forehead, SSS on his chest and he is giving the Satanic salute with his left hand. All of the above have strong occult significance. It is clear from the Bible (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) that we are neither to participate in nor associate with activities related to the occult.

Some of the readers will no doubt protest, "it's only a game!" To be sure it is a game, but a game that does not glorify God! When God says something is wrong, it is wrong regardless of what form it is in. Not only that, but many of the kids who play this game are seduced into believing the principles that the game subtly teaches. Here is but one example. In the booklet that comes with Pokmon, note what is stated -- "Welcome to the world of Pokmon, a special place where people just like you train to become the number-one Pokmon Master in the World! But what is a Pokmon, you ask. ' Pokmon are incredible creatures that share the world with humans,' says Professor Oak, the leading authority on these monsters. There are currently 150 documented species of Pokmon. . . . Each Pokmon has its own special fighting abilities. . . . Some grow, or evolve, into even more powerful creatures.. . . Carry your pokemon with you, and you're ready for anything! You've got the power in your hands, so use it!"

Listen, kids are carrying around their Pokmon like a magic talisman. Author and researcher Berit Kjos tells of a mom who overheard two boys discussing their little pocket monsters. As the conversation developed one boy said, "I'll just use my psychic powers." It was clear that the so called fantasy world of Pokmon had already conditioned this boys thinking to be receptive to a key occult doctrine - psychic powers!

Pokmon promotes occult values, not biblical values and therefore should be rejected!

If Pat Robertson's vision of theological payback comes true, Peyton Manning will be injured this season as retribution for the Denver Broncos getting rid of Tim Tebow.

The televangelist was speaking recently on "The 700 Club," which is apparently still on television. He recited Tebow's accolades from the 2011 season and wondered whether the Broncos were tempting fate by leaving him off their 2012 ark.

"And you just ask yourself," Robertson said, "OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right."

actually what it probably is is that since allah cursed the yahood (some of them) to become to apes then later on in history they wanted the world to believe that they also came from apes and they would probably use the proofs from their own brethren of apes and swine to say "see, we told you" to the world

yeah rigth yahoodi kafir. we wont fall for that.

Christians believe the following:

-God exists
-Everyone knows that God exists
-The unbeliever suppresses that God exists because he prefers sin
-The unbeliever makes up reasons to justify his unbelief, implicitly or explicitly
-These excuses seem perfectly fine until God reveals himself to the person individually
-This revelation is present to us in the Bible

Christians cannot hate atheists. They cannot marginalize them either. Every Christian knows that he himself was a God-hater, in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, before God saved him.

The Christian is grateful to God for saving him and hopes for God to save the atheist as he hopes for God to save everyone believing in false gods.

Atheists put up reason as their strong face in opposing the Christian norm. But is atheism reasonable? The secularization of America has provided a seed-bed for a God-less world as the basis for life today.

Yet, even the atheists must borrow a Christian worldview in order to think and act rationally. Atheism has no way to ground reason. If we came about by chance, our reason and thinking is a random product of chance, with no strong foundation for thought.

I am so sick of all this “victim” mentality! The Muslims, the social justice blacks, liberal women – you name it – they jump on a story before the facts are in and immediately call for the lynching of someone. Yet the truth is that THEY beat, torture, and kill others on a daily basis – and on a much, much grander scale.

None of this surprises me though. Their father is well known for playing the victim card. Lucifer has been whining for years because God kicked him out of Heaven. Poor little thing…all he did was mock, taunt and blaspheme God and His Son. Then he told everyone that he could do a much better job than God and that they should follow him instead.

In the big picture, it’s really all the same spirit.

I submit that contraception is the worst scourge to ever afflict mankind, the costliest by far in both blood and treasure, absolutely ruinness to women in particular and mankind in general. Since it’s acceptance, divorce rates have soared along with pornography, STD’s, homosexuality, exploitation of women, abortion, breast cancer and now government attacks on freedom of expression. Paul VI was particularly prescient in predicting government pressure in HUMANAE VITAE in explicating the Church’s beautiful teaching in this matter.
Using contraception in the marital act is akin to flipping a hand grenade with the pin pulled into the heart of a marriage.

If you want to teach kids the TRUTH, teach them the most scientific FACTS, that appear in the Bible, when it comes to Creation & for God's sake, ( and our souls' sake ) let's do away with the THEORY of Evolution !

You stupid Evolving People; if you'd ONLY take the time to carefully examine the facts of God's Word, and then compare them to the most advanced discoveries, you would realize that this is TRULY God speaking to us !

ONE EXAMPLE IS: In the Book Of Isaiah, God tells us how His Spirit goes "round & round the world" and this was penned 400 years BEFORE Kopernikus discovered that world was round, and not flat, as most believed at the time, etc.

In a revival type speech, Greenwell Springs Baptist Church pastor Rev. Dennis Terry introduced Family Research Council president Tony Perkins and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Christians, according to Rev. Terry, are the conscience of the state and even the key to turning the economy around. The pastor offered some pointed words about abortion, gay marriage, and prayer in schools, shouting about 'sexual perversion' and putting God back in Washington, D.C., as Senator Santorum was seen clapping, if not cheering, in the background.

I have found also that most atheists are not really atheists. they are God haters. They are really mad at Someone they say they do not believe in. Go figure.

Yeah, New Age, "Wiccans", pluralists fit them better as a description than atheist. I have only met a couple of true atheists ever. They are not arrogant, they truly do not care, one way or the other, if there is or is not a God. They do not hate anyone, they don't care if you pray in public or schools or where ever. Nor do they care if you put the 10 Commandments up and they do not feel threatened by a Christian, or any other religion practicing it's beliefs.

The ones we see on the internet and on TV, they are scared. Terrified we are right. They do not care about Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus or any other religion outside of Christianity and Jews. These modern "atheists" only hate and despise us. To me, they fit perfect the profile of those, after the rapture, who will start out wanting to kill Christians and Jews. And do it right now.

In fact, I have talked to several on fb that declare, that all the problems, murders rapes and everything wrong with the world is either Christians or Jews fault. And that we should all be rounded up or at the very least, legally silenced so we cannot ever talk about Jesus. Now that kind of hate is creepy.
