Grandmothers? What’s the Evolutionary Use?
In an evolutionary worldview, human grandmothers are a bit of a puzzle. In most animal species, females do not survive long after their childbearing years have ended. Human females, however, can and often do survive for decades after menopause, the hormonal change which concludes their childbearing years at around age 50. Studies such as the one mentioned below apply an evolutionary worldview in an attempt to explain what (or in this case, who) we see around us.

In this worldview, organisms are generally only helpful to the continued survival and evolution of the species if they can reproduce. Once an organism can no longer reproduce, it is merely taking up space and resources that could go towards either the reproducing or young members of the species. So why would evolution favor human grandmothers? Our life span should have evolved to be shorter, especially for women since, unlike men, there is a defined ending to their ability to reproduce. That is the evolutionary problem with grandmothers.

There Must Be an Evolutionary Explanation of Why Grandmothers Exist!
Defying evolutionary beliefs, grandparents have existed throughout recorded human history, and since we must have an evolutionary justification story for everything, the researchers of a new study have woven together an explanation with a slight twist.1 To be fair, this paper is looking specifically at how distance affected the “grandmother hypothesis,” which has been around at least since 2004. And that hypothesis was built upon “explaining old age by natural selection” in papers going back to at least 1966.2

In a nutshell, the “grandmother hypothesis” postulates that post-reproductive life spans are selected for in older women because grandmothers “gain inclusive fitness benefits by helping their daughters and grandchildren.”3 But in this new study, the authors looked at the distance between their mothers and their daughters to determine if there was a correlation. By looking over detailed church records from Quebec, Canada, in an age (1608–1799) where travel was much more difficult, they discovered slightly overall positive effects of the presence of the (grand)mother living in close proximity when her daughter was giving birth at a younger age and the number of offspring born, as well as lower chances of infant mortality.4 They also found that distance did affect the benefits, with grandmothers who lived over 50 km (31 miles) away providing severely decreased benefit to the mother or grandchildren, suggesting that geographic distance may constrain the ability of the mothers to help their daughters (and grandchildren), resulting in a decrease in fitness benefits with distance.5 But the authors admit that the evolutionary explanation is still elusive.

The question of why prolonged PRLS [post-reproductive life span] has evolved remains unanswered. Evolutionary pathways to prolonged PRLS have yet to be supported. Future research should apply quantitative genetic analyses to test evolutionary genetic hypotheses and assess the relative importance of PRLS hypotheses. The indirect fitness benefits accrued by grandmothers in our study support the proposition that the grandmother hypothesis can, in part, explain PRLS.6

In other words, from an evolutionary perspective, they cannot explain why women live long past their child-bearing years. Although the study mentioned above did find a positive correlation, it was slight and could just as readily be explained as a result of religion and community (French-speaking, Catholic, founder settler population initially). If evolutionary biologists were to be consistent with their evolutionary paradigm, it would seem that the expenditure of community resources on non-reproductive members would outweigh or at least even out the “babysitter benefits.”

Indeed, when one takes the evolutionary worldview to its logical conclusion, it becomes evident that euthanasia is the natural consequence. Euthanasia, typically defined as the intentional ending of the life of someone who is suffering, is increasingly being broadened to include those who are simply very elderly. In the evolutionary worldview that has increasingly permeated Western culture for over 150 years, this makes sense. Clear out the elderly so resources can be freed up for younger, healthier, and more productive persons.

I'm tired of my son being taught that we came from monkeys in school. There's a pile of bricks in my backyard and I don't see it turning into a shed anytime soon! It really bothers that just because I can't afford to put him in a nice christian school, I have to have him endure all the nonsense being taught in public school!

The Bible plainly states where every living creature came from, and something should be done about the way it is ignored in today's teaching.

Paul Chappell Sending Effeminate Pastor to Tempe

So Paul Chappell is blessing us with a church plant here in Tempe called Citypoint Baptist Church. The Pastor’s name is John Guy, but I call him “Pastor Polka Dot.” When I first heard about him, I clicked on his website and saw him in this trendy polka dot shirt. His Twitter profile shows him in a pink polka dot shirt and super skinny jeans, and what did I find on facebook? More polka dots! I’ve now seen this guy in at least four different polka dot shirts, so the nickname I gave him definitely fits. I would expect any grown man who names the name of Christ to be manly, but this John Guy is a pastor!

Even a casual internet search of secular websites will tell you that polka dots are normally worn by women and that men in polka dots are very “fashion forward” and run the risk of looking “flamboyant.” In fact, Pastor Polka Dot is so cutting edge, there’s a picture of him on facebook in skinny SHORTS. I’ve been preaching against skinny jeans for a while, but I didn’t even know skinny shorts were a thing! And let’s face it, men who try to show off their body look effeminate and queer!

We’ve got a bunch of skinny-jeans wearing sissies coming to Tempe to start a church. Not only does the pastor look effeminate, but he’s bringing music director, Mark Rasmussen Jr., whose mannerisms are way worse. I mean, I hope Mark is straight because he comes from a good family, but I’m having a hard time believing it. If these guys don’t want to be accused of being queer, then why do they look like queers and act like queers!? Why don’t they start dressing like men?

I grew up in Chicago (Logan Square) in the heart of the big city. I used to hunt Super Rats (as big as a cat) in the alley with my Daisy BB gun rifle, and I thought that was fun. In Heaven I want to go bear hunting! That sounds so cool! In July of 2016 an armed 38-year-old career law enforcement officer was knocked off his bicycle and mauled to death by a hungry grizzly bear in Montana! Neo-evangelical preachers go deer hunting, but fundamentalists go bear hunting! Amen! I'm just kidding about that last statement. I love a Baptist preacher who hunts bears! That's my kind of man's man preacher! I remember seeing the 1976 movie “Grizzly” as a kid, and I've had a healthy fear of bears ever since! That reminds me of a joke that I heard years ago. On the way home from church, two teenage boys see a big roaring grizzly bear and one boy starts changing footwear to put on his running shoes. The other boy says, “Do you really think you can outrun that bear?” His friend replies, “I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you!” Amen! So always wear good running shoes if you're in bear country!

The Kuwaiti academic Dr. Mariam Al-Sohel has claimed to have discovered a cure for homosexuality which involves suppositories. However, what’s more interesting is how she believes homosexuality actually comes about.

Appearing on Scope TV to talk about her discovery, Dr. Mariam explained how the ‘medicine’ works. “I discovered therapeutic suppositories that curb the sexual urges of boys of the third gender,” she said. “As well as the fourth gender, which is butch lesbians.”

According to Dr. Mariam the third gender is feminine gay men.

But just to make sure we all knew she was serious, she added: “This is all science, so there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

Speaking about how homosexuality comes about, she said: “The sexual urge develops when a person is sexually attacked. And afterwards it persists because there is an anal worm that feeds on semen. It feeds on sperm.”

She explained how the ‘medicine’ helps, saying: “So what I did was to produce suppositories, which are to be used by certain people at a certain time. It cures those urges by exterminating the worm that feeds on sperm.”

Dr. Mariam claims to have invented two different suppositories to this effect, but the only difference between them is their colouring. Diet was also important for this ‘treatment’ to work, and feminine gay men were advised to eat bitter foods.

“Any food that is buried underground provides men with stability, strengthens their muscles and increases their masculinity,” she explained, adding: “Bitter foods increase masculinity.”

Religion is 100% better than atheism and materialism

Every time in history where secular cucks tried to deviate from the word of Gods and to create an utopia it all went to shit and the deaths caused by them would have made every inquisitor pale.
I'm not talking only about communism with its 100 billion deaths but also about French jacobinism with its 41.000 executions in a year (the inquisition killed 3000 in 3 centuries. KEK many American cities maybe have 3000 murders in a year). Not to mention how, after repression and persecution, the result was always shittier than the starting pre-revolutionary point.

Psychologically speaking religion makes people feel and live better than atheism

Also, religion says women should be submissive and obey men while secular cucks want to force equality upon us (from a redpilled perspective, who was right? LOL)

I my self am an over analyzer aspie skeptic but I would 200% choose a fundamentalist catholic society than an atheist neckbeard feminist on. Not even up to debate. Hands down.

Writing, reading Quran in languages other than Arabic is prohibited, says Harussani

PUTRAJAYA: Writing and reading the Quran in languages other than Arabic is prohibited.

In a statement issued by the Quran Printing, Control and Licensing Board (LPPPQ), its chairman Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria said this was because the text of the Quran in other languages not accompanied by the Arabic text could not be considered as Quran.

He said such an act was punishable under the Printing of Quran Text Act (APTQ) 1986 and the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984.

Harussani, who is also the mufti of Perak, was commenting on the “Let’s Read The Quran” campaign to write and read the Quran in other languages, besides Arabic.

Harussani said as the body responsible for the monitoring of the printing, publication and import of Quran texts under APTQ 1986, the LPPPQ viewed the campaign seriously.

He said the board together with the respective state Islamic religious authorities would take stern action to stop the movement and campaign.

Harussani said Quran which had been translated into other languages for the benefit of those who did not understanding Arabic could not be considered Quranic texts but were “translations of the Quran” or “interpretations of the Quran.”

Translations of the Quran which were not accompanied by the original text in Arabic were prohibited as it was feared they could cause confusion, he added.

Avoid intellect, logic when it comes to Islam, Perak mufti tells Cabinet

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 — Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria reminded federal ministers yesterday against issuing statements based on logic and intellect when it comes to Islam, claiming that the intellect is influenced by desires and subsequently susceptible to the devil.

In a report carried by Malay daily Sinar Harian, the Perak mufti also warned Muslim ministers against deriding and belittling Islamic laws, as they risk breaching their oath of loyalty that was made in the name of Allah.

“I advise them not to go overboard. Islam is based on faith… Don’t make any remarks based on the intellect or logic because they are laws of Allah,” Harussani said.

“The intellect is governed by desires and it is influence by shaitan (satan). Don’t be ruled by desires and rudderless comments,” he added, using the name of the Devil in Islamic lore.

Harussani said Muslim ministers, deputy ministers and state executive councillors have all taken their oaths in front of the Agong or a sultan, and sworn with the name of Allah to defend the Constitution.

“The Constitution states that the Islam is the religion of the federation. Therefore, they cannot deride and belittle Allah’s rules. If not, then it means they have breached their oaths,” added the mufti.

Harussani made his remarks when asked by Sinar to comment on newly-appointed Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Azalina Othman, who commented on the country’s censorship laws which she said had stunted the creative industry.

Azalina had said that the Film Censorship Board needs to relax its guidelines against banning intimate physical contact between Muslim male and female actors, since they were only acting out their roles.

Her remark has since enraged Islamic groups, including independent preacher Datuk Mohd Kazim Elias who urged her to “repent”.

Azalina was appointed as the chairman of the National Film Development Corporation on June 2, but stepped down last week following her appointment to the Cabinet.

She was also picked as the minister in charge of parliamentary affairs, replacing Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

Homosexual agenda Donald Trump is not worthy to shine the shoes of Ted Cruz's father, who suffered while living in Communist Cuba, a good man who has told THE TRUTH about the homosexual agenda and Communism (MP4 you can download and save or share) being forced upon Americans! Senator Cruz' father opens people's eyes to the truth—the truth that the true agenda behind “homosexual rights” and forcing the lies of Evolution upon children, is all about the government gaining control over its citizens!

Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945), Hitler's Nazi Propaganda Minister

Jesus warned in Matthew 12:25 that a house divided cannot stand. It is not a coincidence that Americans are divided on everything today, which the ungodly media keeps going. Much of the homosexual agenda is built on a house of cards, and it doesn't take much to blow it over! Americans need to speak up and stand up, besides throwing up, over the homosexual agenda! It is wrong to go along to get along with ungodly people! Psalms 1:1-2, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” If you love Jesus and fear God, then you are upset about the homosexual agenda as I am! I CARE!

Hitler's ungodly minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, truthfully stated:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

SOURCE: Nazi propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels.

Ladies and gentleman, that is EXACTLY what is happening today in America today! The ungodly media are the sole reason why the homosexual agenda is working. If it were not for the ruthless media, homosexuals would be the outcasts of society and NO ONE would respect, honor nor receive them! Why should we? Homosexuals are perverts! It got out in the news a few years ago in England, that singer Elton John's “marriage” is a sham, and that Elton and his “partner” are actually having sex with hundreds of men in wild parties! The media very quickly killed the story! Hearing that sickening story didn't surprise me one bit, because 28% of queers admit to having had sex with more than 1,000 partners!!! ...

Bell and Weinberg reported evidence of widespread sexual compulsion among homosexual men. 83% of the homosexual men surveyed estimated they had had sex with 50 or more partners in their lifetime, 43% estimated they had sex with 500 or more partners; 28% with 1,000 or more partners.

SOURCE: Homosexualities: A Study Of Diversity Between Men And Women; Bell and Weinberg, page 308; ©1978.

Only in a facade of freedom, in a decadent society of tolerance of all manner of idolatry, covetousness, filth, evil and wrongdoing, can such wickedness as homosexuality thrive and even be given legal protections. This is the ugly TRUTH that the ungodly media has withheld from the American people. Have you ever noticed that Hollywood and the media always portray homosexuals by using two young attractive men with harming personalities, or two beautiful women with beautiful women with likable personalities? It is a deception. The ungodly liberals are trying to deceive you into thinking that homosexuality is a beautiful thing. Folks, never forget that the Devil is a beautiful liar! Never call “good” what God calls vile, sinful and an abomination!

Their goal is to legalize Christophobia. They want to impede on the religious rights of others. While they are entitled to their rights, they should understand that we are entitled to our rights and their rights do not override anyone else's rights. There are bakeries, flower shops, venues, bed & breakfasts, photographers, etc. on every corner. If they stop stalking and harassing Christians and move on with their lives, they won't encounter any issues with Christians. They will still have to answer to God for their lifestyle choices, but not to us here on this earth. The problem is they hate Christians with a murderous hatred and want to persecute and harass Christians and force us into participating in things that conflict with our religious beliefs. That is wrong and unacceptable. If they want to rebel against God, that is their decision. We should not be forced to rebel against God for any reason. We want our rights just as much as they want their rights, if not more.

I love and respect all people, not necessarily their behavior, but I care for the person. And, I agree that everyone should have equal rights; however, anything that is a choice and can change is not a civil right. There are people who once lived a homosexual lifestyle and have since stopped and are now living a heterosexual lifestyle. Clearly, that shows that it's a choice and therefore not a civil right. I love and respect homosexuals enough to share the Truth with them. They are in my prayers as I pray God's will for their lives.

The hype around measles is scaremongering, pure and simple. I have read in the media that New York City is banning unvaccinated people from public places. I don’t know if that’s true or not (I live in New Zealand so only know what I read in the media and we all know that’s not always the truth) but if it is, that’s incredibly scary and a violation of our human rights!!

Statistically, the death rate of measles is 1 or 2 every 1000 cases of measles. That’s a pretty low death rate.

Statistically, the rate of hospitalisation due to complications is 10%. 8% of these make a full recovery, 2% have permanent damage (deafness, most often).

And the cause of death isn’t ‘measles’ but a complication of it – and it’s the vulnerable (old, very young, ill, immune-compromised etc.) who are at risk. Normal, strong, healthy kids are most likely to recover from measles quickly and easily, with a lifelong immunity. This immunity also passes to newborn babies through breastmilk, providing protection for at least 7 months (if baby is fully breastfed) – the length of time that baby is most vulnerable to measles. The same immunity is not passed on if the mother has been vaccinated against it.
Isn’t that incredible? The way God has designed our bodies so we mums can give our precious babies immunity when they’re at their most vulnerable?

From Drag Queen Story Hours to surreptitious school indoctrination to open promotion of public policy changes — even masquerading as a normal children’s activity — our children are in danger.

We work so hard to protect our children from perversion and exploitation — and that is not an easy job when our gay spouse is actively in the lifestyle and exposing our children to God only knows what — and the whole of official public culture is going utterly mad and trying to exploit them, too.

It feels like something out of a weird dystopian novel, but this is the world we live in. Don’t be in denial. Be savvy. It’s time to be ready to engage in activism. Write letters to local, state, and federal representatives protesting the victimization of our children. Refuse to take “No” for an answer.

Any business that promotes the LGBT-P agenda, boycott. Any public place hosting an event, organize a protest, a prayer vigil. Visit your children’s schools. Contact your state representative and express your concern that children should be protected from unwholesome premature sexualization.

Be prepared for a vigorous fight.

Quote# 143393

No, it doesn’t have anything to do, directly, with the ex-wives of gays. But one can extrapolate a LOT about the mentality of the “gay rights” movement, which reflects very directly on the attitude directed toward women (especially We The Ex-Wives) and the attitude that any method of control is acceptable because, after all, no one else matters.

Robert Oscar Lopez wrote an article in which he used his experiences and observations as a young man raised by his mother and her lesbian partner to defend the recent sociological study by Mark Regnerus which outlines the problems of children growing up in same-sex, gay households. That article is entitled “Growing Up with Two Moms: The Untold Children’s View,” and it’s here, for your reading pleasure. Or angst – there is always the risk of pain when we enter these territories.

Well, Lopez has taken a veritable verbal beating from the gay community for having the integrity to stand up and publicly state, “I bear significant scars as a consequence of being raised by two lesbians.” This demonstrates a great deal about the overall, militant disposition of the gay community at large, which we need to be aware of — especially those of us who are still raising children.

Lopez’s further response , and further reflections on the inherently violent, take-no-prisoners tactics of the gay movement, is the immediately recommended article which appeared here this week in American Thinker.

Violent? That guy who shot the security guard at the conservative, Christian-based Family Research Council in Washington, yesterday, was angry and resentful over the FRC’s opposition to gay marriage.

I earnestly urge you to read both articles. Take them to your lawyer if you’re still engaged in custody battle. Take them to your children’s pediatricians and clinical psychologists –

And, if I may be so nosy and bossy and presumptuous, if you don’t get a supportive response from either of those professionals, you might want to read the writing on the wall and recognize that these people have bought into the lies that the gays are promoting in order to further their agenda. That is, they are more concerned with promoting the party politic than with protecting your child – and do not deserve your patronage any longer. You need, and are worthy of (I hate the phrase, “you’re entitled…”) professional services that help you protect your children and minimize the trauma and confusion that comes of having a gay parent.

The risk is real: I did not understand what I was up against when DH and I divorced. I did not believe he would ever be so ungodly… and to this day, he insists to our daughters that his being gay had nothing to do with our divorce, and our older daughter is now very much a heterosexual, “fag hag” gay activist of sorts – at least, a very vocal proponent of gay rights, and an utterly miserable woman.

Personal experience biasing my vision? Possible. But if it happened to me, you are not immune.

Think about it. And God bless you.

Why My Father’s Reputation?

We aim to bring God’s perspective about life and death, Heaven and Hell, and the importance and responsibility of our choice to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We want to see lost souls saved through faith in Jesus and equip the Church to speak to them with biblical truths, evangelistic tools, and a heart of compassion.

We support the Church in training believers to fulfill the Great Commission. We are sharing personal testimonies of Hell and its biblical eternal consequences. We will hold evangelistic seminars with truth-filled teaching, and practical applications.

We want to challenge the Church to examine ourselves in holiness, especially in the area of forgiveness. We are achieving this by open biblical dialogue and searching for biblical truth, instead of humanistic views. We want to submit to God’s commands and not rely on our individual beliefs.

From Laurie

Heaven is real. In 2000, I was saved while visiting the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO. God’s Spirit came upon me during worship, and took me in a vision where I met Jesus. He is beautiful and powerful beyond description! During this vision, I was radically healed from many things, including a 3.5 pack-a-day cigarette addiction. Before I left the Lord, I asked “Is there anything I can do for you?” He answered, “Go tell others about Me.” And that is exactly what I did. I went home and began telling everyone about Jesus. To reach more people, I wrote the book “Go Tell Others About Me.”

Hell is real. In 2008, the Lord took me to Hell in a vision. It was a horrible experience in a horrible place that was never intended for human beings. I hate even the memories of that place. Yet, each day, thousands of people go there for eternity because of their sins of rebellion and unbelief toward God and unforgiveness toward other people. To warn people about Hell and point them to the saving grace of Jesus Christ, my husband Mike and I began this organization, My Father’s Reputation.

The truth of Heaven and Hell is powerful. The reality of Jesus Christ as God and what He has done on the cross to pay for sin are essential to being with Him in Heaven, eternally.

The truth is that we care about you because Jesus cares about you. He has shared His heart for you with us. You matter to Him. If you are not saved, then you will go to Hell. Eternity is waiting, your choices today will determine where you spend it. Accept Jesus Christ as the way, truth and life today.

About My Father’s Reputation

Vision Statement:

To honor God as our Heavenly Father; Jesus as the Son of God and Savior; and the Holy Spirit as Teacher and Guide.

It is our desire to help equip Evangelists to preach the gospel with the Biblical truths about eternity. Our goal is to teach both locally and globally while engaging people in all forms of evangelism to realize the essential need of the one true God in His three parts of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We will accomplish this through hands-on trainings, media and the web.

Leviathon is a spirit I have battled as well. It was a hard battle but was won. It was about four months or more ago. My wife and I were in McDonalds and were having a conversation with an angel and Leviathon had come up. I told the angel that i wanted to fight this demon and he said I could. On the way back to the hotel I asked the angel if he could bring the demon to a predestinated place and he said yes. I figured that since Leviathon was from the depths of the sea he would be used to the cold water so I filled the tub up with scalding hot water and blessed the water. The angels (there were two now) brought Leviathon bound to the tub and fought with me. We all pulled our swords from our hips and began running this demon through with all my strength and everything I had. I would say it took atleast half an hour or more. We were all spent but the battle was won.

I firmly believe the devil is the reason Islamic pilgrims are trampled to death with such strange regularity.

Because Satan is the true god of the Hajj, one would think he would want the pilgrimage to be a smoothly run operation. The ironic twist of having people die during the stoning ritual apparently is just too tempting for Satan and his host of fallen angels to pass up.

Quote# 143400

‘Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man’ is a Jesuit maxim attributed to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. He probably never said it, or if he did, he almost certainly said: ‘Give me the boy for the first seven years and I will show you the man’. The quote is also attributed to Aristotle, but in a sense the source doesn’t matter, for by its attribution to both one of the greatest spiritual minds and one of the greatest philosophical thinkers ever to have existed, it moves beyond cultural constructivism to transcendent truth: the workings of the mind were designed to be subject to time and space.

And into that time and space comes children’s education, by which process their moral, cultural and religious values are inculcated and their politics are moulded – from the history lesson which scorns the ethics of empire to the singing of ‘I vow to thee my country’ in the daily act of collective worship, schools are places where political perspectives become truths and religious exposure becomes morality. There is, of course, much debate concerning the proper aims of education and the right balance (should such a thing exist) between the prescriptive statutes of governments and the freedoms of parents and particular religious groups, but in a liberal democracy there must be the means to impart the knowledge of citizenship which is deemed necessary to sustain that liberal democracy, or the state ceases generation-by-generation to be either liberal or democratic.

Relationship and Sex Education (formerly Sex and Relationship Education) is one of those subjects which straddles the government-parent-religion tensions of responsibility and provision. For some, it is the task of parents to teach sexual morality and reify good relationship; for others, it is the joint responsibility of parents and religious communities, with a civic minimum imparting the essential facts of biology and social reality. For others still, mindful of parental delinquency and religious prejudice in this regard, it is fundamentally a function of the state to ensure that all children are taught the knowledge and life skills they will need to develop healthy relationships and stay safe while having sex.

The question and tension which then arises is related to age-appropriateness: at what point does the scientific naming of private body parts or discussion about where babies come from become consideration of emotional and physical changes; and then at what point those changes become discussions about different kinds of families or the differences between boys and girls; and then at what point those differences become discussions about engaging in sex, contraception or condoms, homosexuality and transgender people. And what about abortion? And then there is sexual experimentation, orgasms, group sexual experiences, oral sex, masturbation…

Would it surprise you to know that discussions about transgender are deemed appropriate for eight-year-olds?

One state primary school in Birmingham, where the children are predominantly Muslim, introduced RSE lessons to promote LGBT equality. The Guardian reported in January that the programme includes “the welcoming of people of any race, colour or religion and those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender”. There is, of course, nothing wrong with welcoming people, but what is the age-appropriate way of explaining lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender to a four-year-old? What are books entitled ‘Mommy, Mama and Me‘ or ‘King & King‘ designed to inculcate about the morality of same-sex relationships and same-sex marriages? Birmingham school LGBT Muslim protestOne parent Fatima Shah is quoted: “Children are being told it’s OK to be gay, yet 98% of children at this school are Muslim. It’s a Muslim community. [Mr Moffat (assistant headteacher)] said all parents are on board with it, but the reality is, no parents are on board with it.” She added: “We have nothing against Mr Moffat – we are as British as they come. We respect the British values… but the problem is, he is not respecting our ethos as a community. We don’t send our children to school to learn about LGBT. We send them to school to learn maths, science and English.”

Andrew Moffat, who is gay and was appointed MBE in 2017 for services to education, responded: “I’m just teaching children from an early age that there are different families out there and, let’s not forget, that in some schools there are children with two mums, so I see it that they’re not being taught anything. All they’re seeing is their family is being accepted. We want all children in Birmingham to know that their family is normal; that their family is accepted and welcomed in schools.”

Last week Mr Moffat gave in, and subjugated the ethos of his school to the religious ethos of the majority Muslim parents: all LGBT lessons have been stopped. He did this because hundreds of those parents decided to withdraw their children from the lessons, which is their legal right. But what if RSE were to become mandatory, as the Government intends? What option would parents then have if they felt their children were being taught matters of sex and sexuality which they deemed to be age-inappropriate? “We are not a bunch of homophobic mothers,” Fatima Shah said. “We just feel that some of these lessons are inappropriate. Some of the themes being discussed are very adult and complex and the children are getting confused. They need to be allowed to be children rather than having to constantly think about equalities and rights.”

The themes being discussed are complex for adults, too, because it matters of sexuality and gender it isn’t at all clear where nature end and nurture begins. And that is the essence of the grievance these Muslim parents have: they feel their children are not simply being education in the sociological fact of homosexuality and transgender, but inculcated – or ‘indoctrinated’, as one parent put it – into the moral virtue of such expressions of identity. Now, you may believe that homosexuality is as innate as heterosexuality, and transgender is simply another increment on the spectrum of human diversity, but for others the causal debate is more nuanced, not least because there is conflicting evidence from eminent scientists and psychologists on both sides of the divide. While some favour the ‘nature’ explanation based on biology or genetics, others incline to the ‘nurture’ theory, based on the psychological reaction to upbringing and environment, which obviously includes education.

The Bible’s understanding of biology (and, indeed, that of the Qur’an) is a world apart from modern studies, and theologians are as divided as scientists. Some insist that cultural factors contribute in psycho-sexual development, embracing Freudian psychological theory, for example, which asserts that homosexual orientation is a consequence of the failure to identify with the same-sex parent; that a physical or emotional distance between the child and the same-sex parent results in a failure to be able to identify with one’s own sex. This results in a same-sex deficit, which the homosexual is unconsciously trying to repair by creating emotional and sexual relationships with people of the same sex. It is not so much a moral degeneracy but an emotional immaturity, and one therefore capable of being healed through therapy.

This is the view of the great majority of Muslims, and also of a great many Christians and Jews. The cause of homosexual orientation being somehow a combination of both nature and nurture – a psychogenetic fusion – would therefore be susceptible to educational inculcation. If the ethos of a school is toward ‘tolerance’ of homosexuality and transgender as ‘natural’, and that ethos is reified by teachers who impart notions of equal validity and moral parity, then what the Bible or Qur’an happen to say becomes irrelevant: British values trump God’s created order. If a child feels a bit gender-neutral or trans one day, why not explore androgyny further? Why not try living as the opposite sex for a while? It might be fun. It certainly makes you a bit more interesting and gets you noticed.

There is no easy solution to this: the government-parent-religion tensions will persist in state education until one party asserts its dominance – which appears to be imminent – at which point the other parties will respond or react. While reason demands the serious critical consideration of scientific studies, and certainly those which are concerned with the possibility that same-sex preference and transgender may be genetically programmed, not all innate tendencies in children are either good or desirable. But that is too nuanced a debate in this febrile atmosphere. It is to be noted that in the hundreds of parents who have withdrawn their children from LGBT lessons in this school, sporting their banners declaring ‘Education not Indoctrination’, ‘My Child My Right’ and ‘Say No to sexualisation of children’, they have not been condemned as homophobes or bigots by LGBT lobby groups. If these had been Christian parents, however, no doubt Amanda Spielman would have issued an instant press release, and Peter Tatchell would have been there in a flash.

Quote# 137883

America's churches have failed the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered (LGBT) community. We really have! For the past half-century the churches have failed homosexuals. I mean, if anyone in the world ought to be helping the LGBT community, it is the churches! Even America's independent fundamental Baptist churches today are failing the LGBT crowd. It is high-time for the churches to start doing what they should have done long ago! Yes, the churches are at fault. We have dropped the ball. There are no legitimate excuses, the Christian churches have failed the LGBT community!!!

How, you may ask, have the churches “failed” the LGBT community? I am glad that you asked. We have failed the LGBT community by refusing to cry aloud against homosexuality as a filthy “sin”! We have failed the LGBT community by tolerating homosexual “sin” instead of exposing it as “perversion” in our society. We have failed the LGBT community by refusing to embrace them with the truth, the horrifying truth that a holy God will not accept homosexuality.
