Quote# 127559

Religious Right activist “Coach” Dave Daubenmire declared on his “Pass The Salt Live” webcast this morning that America needs “a more violent Christianity.” He cited President Trump and Greg Gianforte as examples of violent men who are properly “walking in authority.”

“The only thing that is going to save Western civilization is a more aggressive, a more violent Christianity,” he said.

Playing a clip of Trump shoving aside the prime minister of Montenegro at a recent NATO summit so that he could stand in front of the group of assembled leaders, Daubenmire heaped praise on Trump for showing that “he is large and in charge.”

“Look at him,” Daubenmire screamed gleefully while watching the clip. “They’re all little puppies, ain’t nobody barking at him … He’s walking in authority. He walked to the front and center and they all know it, too, man. He just spanked them all.”

Trump’s behavior is an example for the church, Daubenmire said. “The Lord is showing us a picture of the authority we should be walking in.”

Daubenmire then cited Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte’s assault on a reporter the day before he won a special election in Montana as another example for the church.

“People are sick and tired of it,” he said. “They’re saying, ‘Yes, a fighter! Go, dude, go!’ … Who won? The dude that took the other dude to the ground.”

“That should be the heart cry of Christian men,” Daubenmire said. “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of God has suffered violence and violent men take it by force.”

The You Even Freak Out Jesus Award

Quote# 60603

Hubby and I both bawl all day long!!!

Hubby says that while he is working (he owns his own paint contracting company), and starts to think about Jesus and His return and the tears start to flow. Or while He is saying the Lord's Prayer, he breaks out in tears. He says he sobs when thinking about Jesus' return and seeing Him face to face. He says also when he remembers certain passages, like John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

I too have been breaking down in tears and literally sobbing. My heart is overwhelmed and it is overflowing with the love that Jesus has for me. I can barely listen to a song that praises Jesus without bawling. Reading the Bible yesterday had me in tears. Reading some of the threads on this board make me break down.

But I think it is because the Holy Spirit is quickening our hearts. He is talking to us, now - more than ever and is calling us home. He is warning us and preparing us. Jesus IS coming. I think the entire Bride has heard His voice. He is giving us the urgency of the imminent return of Jesus for His Bride, and how important it is that we witness to as many as we can.

These tears are tears of joy IMHO. We long to be with our Father, and our Father has given us this yearning. I can only imagine that God is looking around the place that Jesus is/has prepared for us and is making sure everything is perfect. God is ready to tell His Son to, "Go get your Bride"!!!!

It won't be long now. Shout it from the rooftops!! Jesus is coming soon. He is Lord and Master and is getting ready to show Himself like never before!!!

Come Lord Jesus!!!

Some deliverance ministries have also suggested to anoint all items brought into the home with blessed olive oil, in an effort to cleanse all evil from it. Personally, our family has found that this can be a dangerous thing to do when it comes to anointing actual idols. (https://dreamsofdunamis.wordpress.com/2012/02/16/three-idol-encased-demons/) It also has not worked with other items that were cursed. For example, I purchased a new pillow from a store, and found it was giving me rashes and itchiness that made sleep difficult. We examined the pillow (my usual brand,) for any physical reasons for the reactions, but found nothing. Finally in prayer, the Lord told me that it had been previously purchased by a New Age Wiccan, and because it had been in her home for a few days, it was now considered unclean for me as a believer. Anointing this pillow with the blessed olive oil made no difference at all. The itchiness and rashes remained. When I exchanged it at the store for another one, (which the Lord told me to do,) the new one posed no problems at all. The itchiness and rashes were gone within 24 hours. I couldn’t just bless and keep the item in question. I had to remove it from my home.

Quote# 111035

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, suggested during a conversation with Gov. Scott Walker on his “Washington Watch” radio program last week that Planned Parenthood opposes 20-week abortion bans such as the one recently passed by the House because they can make more money selling the “parts” of later-term fetuses.

Perkins was discussing a right-wing group’s deceptively edited shock video that purported to show that the reproductive health group sells “aborted baby parts” for a profit, in violation of federal law. In reality, the group donates fetal tissue to medical research with the patient’s consent.

“This suggests why they may have been opposed to bans such as this, these five-month bans, because the longer the pregnancy goes, the more valuable the parts,” Perkins alleged.

Walker, who signed such a ban into law in Wisconsin today, didn’t address Perkins’ claim directly, but restated his desire to make sure that “Planned Parenthood is defunded from any tax dollars, be it at the local or state or the federal level.”

Quote# 66968

I actually differ on this because of one main reason: nowhere in the Bible is marrying a cousin condemned, forbidden by GOD. So because of that, anything about genetic defects is void and something of the world's opinion, in my opinion.

A child can be born with problems no matter who you marry. When you have GOD's grace on you in Jesus Christ, nothing else matters. Its faith in Him, following Him and walking with Him that matters.

My parents were cousins when they got married. So were my grandparents and even one of my aunts/uncles. Grandparents had 12 kids. My aunt and uncle had 4. My parents had 3. Everyone born is blessed abundantly. No one had any genetic problems whatsoever.

To each their own of course. We must always seek Him first and we can do so by reading His word and praying on every matter.

Quote# 8329

I haven't had any eager thoughts on cleaning up my house, but I did have the following situation that just happened today. I have the following system set up:

I work for an insurance company and have my own office. If I do not participate on a weekly conference call, my manager has to come secure my laptop and files. I have written a letter titled "Urgent Message- Please Read Immediately" and placed it on my file cabinet. The letter gives a quick synopsis of what has happened and asks my manager to go to my home (2 miles down the road...map enclosed). The letter tells him where I have hidden a key and instructs him to go into my attic where I have a fire safe that contains approx 70 letters. Each letter is the same and details the events of the rapture and the hope found in JESUS. Letters are addressed to unsaved friends, restaurants, businesses, media outlets, etc. However, I used the key that I had hid for an emergency situation and have not gotten around to heading out to the depot to get another key made. I felt a great urgency this weekend to go get that key made.

Of course, I made the mistake of ignoring the Holy Spirit. This morning I believe God decided to give me a further push. I received a call from my manager saying that he has been instructed to obtain a key from each of our offices so he will have access to our files as quickly as possible should any unforeseen event occur. He will stop by my office in the morning to pick up the office key. I knew immediately that I will be headed out after work to get another office key made and also get the house (rapture) key made to place back in the hidden spot. Now listen to this twist. I can definitely see satan trying to screw this up. I noticed about an hour earlier that my house key was missing. It must have fallen off my keychain somehow. I called my wife so I can get her key, and she tells me that she had taken the key off of her keychain this morning and now she can't find it. Fortunately, she just called back and said she had gone through her car and finally found it. Is this all coincidence or a deeper spiritual battle? Is there an urgency for me to get this key made to help spread the truth after the rapture? I know my thoughts but I don't have a definitive answer.

That is not what I was saying here. The rapist certainly is responsible for his actions. However, if the girl involved has dressed immodestly, she shares that responsibility.

A few months ago, when I went to bed, I left some cookies out. When we got up the next morning, there were two smiling kids and cookie crumbs in living room. they were wrong for eating the cookies, and touching what was not theirs to touch, but I was also wrong for giving them a strong temptation. I should have removed the temptation from them. Likewise, a girl who dresses immodestly is setting up a temptation for men. Some men may be able to contain themselves and their thoughts. Other men may not be as strong. Their thoughts run away with them, and they lust after the flesh they see, but they are able to contain it at that. But men who are weaker still may not even be able to stop there. These men may go further and act on their desires. If a man commits rape, has he done wrong? Absolutely! If the woman tempted him, is she wrong as well? Sure is! This flies in the face of the sensibilities we have all been taught because we have believed a lie. We have believed that we can do whatever we want and there are no consequences to our sins. This is a lie.

Quote# 21226

the atheist who charges God with immorality must have some absolute, universal, and invariant system of morality by which he can judge God.
Christians get their system of justice and morality from God's revelation, but from where does the atheist's sense of morality come?
From his own subjective opinion? Then he has no right to criticize anyone else's system.
From society? Then in Hitler's society ethnic cleansing is "good."
From the innate survival mechanisms of nature? Then whatever humans (part of nature) do must be "good" because their actions are products of their natures and thus "good."
From some moral agent beyond this material universe who has the authority to impose morality on this material universe and its inhabitants?

[A quote from a letter urging hotels to stop offering pornography.]

Furthermore, we trust that you need no reminding of the fact that something’s being legal does not make it right. For example, denying black men and women and their families access to hotel rooms—and tables in restaurants, as well as other amenities and opportunities—was, for countless shameful years, perfectly legal. In some circumstances, it even made financial sense for hotel owners and operators in racist cultures to engage in segregationist practices even when not compelled by law to do so. However, this was deeply morally wrong. Shame on those who denied their brothers and sisters of color the equal treatment to which they were morally entitled. Shame on you if you hide behind legality to peddle immorality in the pursuit of money.

Quote# 134136

AUSTRALIA’S GAY MARRIAGE VOTE MAY LEAD TO SPECTACULAR FAILURE FOR THE LEFT

Australia is currently voting in a postal survey on whether to legalise gay marriage. A clear majority of Australians support gay marriage but I predict that the “No” side will win the vote. When this occurs, the radical left will have no one to blame but themselves. There is a strong feeling of a Trump or Brexit type upset in the air, but the main reason that the “No” campaign will win is because the “Yes” side’s campaign has alienated the sensible center.

Australia is one of the few countries in the world that has compulsory voting in elections but this postal survey is not compulsory and I would be surprised if turnout is much over 50%. Opinion polls over recent years have consistently shown that around two thirds of Australians support gay marriage, but the expected low turnout makes the result of the postal survey hard to predict. Just as the “silent” Trump voters skewed the exit polls in the 2016 US Presidential election, there is probably also around 5% of Australians who are telling pollsters that they support gay marriage but who will in fact vote no.

The “Yes” and “No” campaigns

The “Yes” campaign is led by around half of the ruling centre-right Liberal/National government, including Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, plus the opposition centre-left Labor Party and the far-left Greens Party. Almost all prominent Australians are supporting the “Yes” campaign.

The “No” campaign is led by religious organisations and a few conservative politicians. The fact that most Australian Muslims will undoubtedly vote no is an ironic turn for the leftists who have campaigned so hard to allow them into the country. The overwhelming support for the “Yes” side amongst prominent Australians from politics to media to entertainment to sport is reminiscent of opposition to Trump in the US and to Brexit in the UK.

The “Yes” side is not really making much of an argument, they just keep saying “love is love”. Presumably they do not think that incest, paedophilia or polygamy are ok because “love is love”, but they haven’t elaborated.

The “No” side is not making much of an argument about gay marriage either. Instead, it is arguing that gay marriage is another step towards political correctness and denial of free speech and religious freedom. Australia’s former conservative Prime Minister Tony Abbott is urging a “no” vote to “stop political correctness in its tracks”.

The left’s counterproductive tactics

The left is making two key strategic errors in its campaign. Firstly, it is arguing that there should not be a public debate or public vote on this issue. Secondly, it is bullying, persecuting and harassing anyone brave enough to declare that they will vote “no”.

The left has long argued against a public vote on same sex marriage saying that it will hurt gay people’s mental health and that straight people should not have the right to decide if gay people have “human rights”. The left does not appear to understand that people don’t like being told what they are and are not allowed to discuss, debate, say or think.

Some of the more radical leftist individuals and groups have also harassed, bullied and persecuted people who oppose gay marriage. On September 22, a “Yes” campaigner head butted Tony Abbott. A former champion boxer, Abbott assured the media he was “entirely unscathed” but said that he worries about “the brave new world of same-sex marriage if this is how some of the people who are most enthusiastically supporting it are behaving”.

In Canberra, an 18-year-old woman named Madeline was fired from her job at a children’s party business for advocating a “no” vote on her private Facebook wall. Capital Kids Parties owner Madlin Sims said she fired Madeline because “advertising your desire to vote no for SSM [same-sex marriage] is, in my eyes, hate speech”.

In Brisbane, the National Union of Students organised a rally outside a church to harass the attendees at a “vote no” meeting. The rally turned violent and one woman was arrested.

When “no” campaigners hired Skywriting Australia to write “vote no” in the sky above Sydney the business was abused on social media and the business owner received a torrent of harassing text messages including the following:

…you really are a shit human. You’re definitely the biggest piece of shit in Australia today. Probably tomorrow too. Hope you’re proud of yourself. Don’t be surprised by the hate coming for you. Titt for tatt, it’s only fair, right? You stupid, ignorant, remorseless, pathetic, old, LOSER.

The organisers of the skywriting later reported that GoFundMe “has decided to freeze our funds, until we give our names and locations. This is on the back of a massive amount of hateful messages we have received by people who want to silence our message and personally attack us.”

Of course, there are people on the “No” side who have behaved inappropriately too. The difference is that within the “Yes” camp the arguments that there should be no debate, or that those who oppose gay marriage should not be allowed to state their views, is mainstream.

Unlike the United States, Australia does not have constitutionally protected free speech. The Australian Parliament has passed laws imposing fines of up to $12,600 for anyone “vilifying” or “intimidating” another person during the gay marriage debate. I expect these laws will be enforced selectively against “no” campaigners for “homophobic” comments.

Lessons for the right

We shouldn’t underestimate the radical left, but we shouldn’t overestimate them either. Let them be themselves and they will alienate ten people for every one they convert. We on the right must not get down into the gutter to fight with these radical leftists or we will come out at least as dirty as they are. Let’s maintain the moral high ground and promote civilised debate, free speech, and non-violence.
