(Sam_is_30_Years_Old)

Who knows if you will be reborn so soon or not in a future where the world is maybe in a worse state? There are problems with the world but its only been a century or so where we've got grocery stores, the internet, and homes with bathrooms and running waters. Are you willing to give that up for a chance just have to a foid lol...And who's to say you will be reborn in the human form but in lesser form or worlds...

Verse 126: Some are reborn as human beings, the wicked are reborn in a place of continuous torment (niraya). The righteous go to the deva world, and those who are free from moral intoxicants (viz., the arahats) realize Nibbana.

Verse 240: Just as rust is formed from iron, and corrodes the iron from which it is formed, so also, his own deeds lead the transgressor to a lower plane of existence (duggati).

Verse 334: In a man who is unmindful craving grows like a creeper. He runs from birth to birth, like a monkey seeking fruits in the forest.

Reincarnation is a cope/meme.

It's also not a good thing to keep returning here on earth, this is a place of suffering and decay. The goal is to move beyond this place not hope to reincarnate into a Chad body and live a life which eventually will entrap you and you will grow old, get sick and die like everyone else. All the highs in this world are short lived and usually come with a sickly price and are never fulfilling.

Its a better cope than alcohol, drugs or other degenerate activities to escape from your problems or make sense of the world.

Reincarnation is in Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and probably more im not aware of. If you study Buddhism texts and do serious meditation with groups (Free meditation groups in my city i attended a few times) there's a high blissful peaceful feeling i've reached a few times (no thought states) and you can easier see lifes issues in those states as our untrained minds are shit head liars causing problems for us.

Verse 33: The mind is excitable and unsteady; it is difficult to control and to restrain. The wise one trains his mind to be upright as a fletcher straightens an arrow.

Verse 34: As a fish quivers when taken out of its watery home and thrown on to dry ground, so does the mind quiver when it is taken out of the sensual world to escape from the realm of Mara (i.e., kilesa vatta, round of moral defilements).

The amount of coping going on in this sub is just out of control

don't know unless you try, join a free meditation group in city or try it alone at home.

(No offense, this is a touchy subject)

But the problem i personally have with buddishm and hinduism, is that either its a man made philiosophy (buddiism) or your basically asking me to worship idols (hindu) that can neither benefit or harm me.

I do believe in a creator dont get me wrong, their are signs that an all powerful creator has left us

Fine Tuning of the Universe
The impossible odds of the first cell forming by chance/randomness + natural selection
Trilobites and other Creatures/Phyla from the Cambrian Explosion appearing all of a sudden in the fossil record having absolutely no transitional fossils from the Precambrian era
The Odds of a genetic mutation making a new Functional Protein
The Surprising Limits of Natural Selection

Im not here to judge others and my first comment may have been a bit rude/insensitive.

Im personally muslim, but ive looked at all religions and done my research. Hinduism and buddism just didnt satisfy my questions and curiosity about life, God, injustice in the world, what happens after death etc

My personal experience that shown me asexuality is a harmful lie

Before gender criticism, I used to identify as an asexual person. I didn't fully understood what that means and it took me a long while to understand that I was just saying such a thing not to be judged for my actual sexuality. I felt repressed and afraid of people around me, I didn't want to be judged, mocked or harassed because of that, I didn't want my friends to go away, I didn't want to be fetishized by men. I was just using asexuality as mask, but turned out that I wanted so much to be true and that would solve all my problems that I ended up believing. I wasn't truly happy with that, things didn't magically felt easier and less oppressive, repressing myself like that and lying to me was just making me more confused and hurt. Things just started to get better when I was presented to gender criticism. Society teaches women like me to hate their choices and themselves. Asexuality is repressive and harmful.

After becoming a gender critic and accepting myself, I started noticing how the same that happened to me was also happening with way more people. A friend of mine, for example, gave me a strong impression that she just saus she's asexual because she's afraid of being harassed by men. Sadly I could never actually show her gender criticism, she's an afraid libfem, otherwise I'd be called an evil terf and would be pushed away from my other friends.

Quote# 142208

I have not read all 48 answers, but I am very disappointed in the ignorance out there on this subject.

There IS overwhelming evidence of Semites in Egypt which could very well be the Israelites. Google Avaris. A huge settlement underneath the more modern city of Rameses of which the Bible refers to! Besides a huge Semitic settlement, is evidence of larger numbers of infant boys being killed, and of the settlement being vacated suddenly in the spring! On top of that is an Egyptian pyramid for a Semite! alongside a huge statue of a red-haired man with a multi-colored coat. It appears Joseph, as second in command to Pharoah, got to have his own pyramid and statue! This is overwhelming and specific evidence of Israelites in Egypt, Joseph in particular, the killing of Hebrew boy infants, and a quick exodus.

This escavation is a newer development. But should be quite common knowledge now. A documentary called “Pattern of Evidence” has been out in theaters in addition to being available online in multiple websites.

As to Mount Sinai, there HAS been a lack of evidence because the mountain that is NOW called Mount Sinai has no evidence. However, when this mountain was named by one famous woman, doesn’t mean she was ever correct.

There is a mountain named Jabal al Lawz of which all the locals claim it is the “mountain of Moses (or Musa in Arabic). It has a charred top like described in Exodus. It has Egyptian Hebrew hierogyphics, pictures of huge calves on the walls, and 12 pillars of stone. There is evidence of large amounts of water around a rock which could certainly be evidence of when Moses struck a rock and it provided water for all the people and their animals. There is also the bitter stream mentioned. The entire area seems to match that described in Exodus.

There is also a land bridge from Egypt to Saudi Arabia which could be the remains of the crossing of the Red Sea complete with Egyptian chariots in the Sea next to it.

So IF you look at the CORRECT mountain and the CORRECT pathway, the evidence is there. It is just that for many centuries, people were assuming that the Mount Sinai on our maps was the same Mount Sinai as in the Bible, but it is not.

Quote# 142239

The Bible talks about women wanting to know everything about the people around them (which would include their husbands) and how they can get into trouble with this part of their nature:

“And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.” – 1 Timothy 5:13-14

And just as marriage helps to keep couples from fornication (I Corinthians 7:2-5) so too we are told that marriage is the answer to keeping women from being tattlers, busy bodies and speaking things they ought not to.

Women need men to keep them in line.

To say such a thing today would be called “sexist”. But this is what God’s Word says. It almost makes you think that maybe, just maybe our post feminist world has it all wrong and the old “sexist” world while not being perfect was far more closely aligned to God’s Word than ours is today.

In fact, the very first sin woman committed had to do with her seeking out knowledge that was forbidden to her (Genesis 3:6). But it is not just a woman’s lust for knowledge, but also her lust for power that drives her to make her husband accountable to her.

In the Genesis account we read the following:

“Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” – Genesis 3:16

And God’s statement to Eve mirrors what he said to Cain:

“If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” – Genesis 4:7

So, as we can see, in the same way that Cain’s sin nature desired to control him, but he had to rule over it, so too a woman’s sinful nature causes her to try to control her husband, but he must rule over her.

You have to love the logic of the left. “Let’s not talk about things we don’t understand, because that’s so scientific.” Why does creationism scare lefties so much? Show me scientific evidence where any single cellular organism has ever evolved into a multicellular organism and we can start the debate there. Just admit it, there are things we can’t prove, but we can see strong evidence.

When you walk down the beach and see an elaborate sand castle, is your first thought to wonder how the water and wind created it? No, you wonder who built it. Life is the same way, you scoff at intelligent design, but your origin of life theories are just as fantastic. I love the group think. “We must teach our fantastical theory of life and dismiss that one over there”

I believe in evolution and I believe in creationism, but I’m humble enough to understand I don’t know how they fit together. Believe it or not, it’s okay not to have all the answers.

Quote# 142237

The EU’s hard-border bluff will soon collapse – and then it can get serious about Brexit

The House of Commons does work better than it seems to, I promise you. When a big subject comes up, it spends weeks, months, even years, posturing and sparring, but it has a way of working out when a choice is truly important. Brexit has taken years, and is truly important. We saw the first signs of this realisation dawning on Parliament when it rejected Mrs May’s original deal so decisively. We saw the second signs on Tuesday night. As that series of covert Remain amendments — most notably Cooper-Boles — fell, a pattern became apparent. Enough MPs now understand that if the institution of parliament is ever to command respect again, Brexit must happen, and the minimally acceptable way in which it must happen is that the permanent Irish backstop goes. The only blot was the vote for the Spelman amendment objecting to ‘no deal’. But this does not bind, and the rest of the dynamic of the evening makes clear for slow learners what has been apparent to sensible people ‘out of doors’ from the beginning — the only way for Britain to win any decent deal is to make no deal a real possibility. When Juncker, Varadkar and co understand that without a deal, their ‘hard border’ bluff collapses, they too might get serious.

What to do about the coming shortage of green groceries of which several supermarkets warned yet again this week if there is a no-deal Brexit on 29 March? I am just old enough to remember when fresh fruit and veg were in short supply at this time of year. People used to know how to store things to mitigate the problem: apples would be carefully laid out on straw-strewn shelves. We ate lots of root vegetables and not much greenery. If ever you saw a strawberry out of season it came, for some reason, from Israel. Perhaps it is time for a Brexit recipe book, like those comforting wartime rationing ones full of bright ideas for dull things. In our part of the south coast we have racier ideas. We have a centuries-old tradition of smuggling (‘brandy for the parson, baccy for the clerk’), and are ready to set out in our little ships to Dunkirk or wherever and bring back luscious black-market lettuces and French beans, oranges and lemons. Our Sussex and Kent smugglers used to be known as ‘free traders’, which is interesting and — if we have to sneak over an EU tariff wall — entirely appropriate for today.

Such a sad sight at Davos last week. A 16-year-old Swedish schoolgirl called Greta Thunberg gave an eloquent little speech about the perils of global warming. Only 12 years left before it’s too late, she said, invoking the IPCC’s estimate. ‘I don’t want you to be hopeful,’ she went on, ‘I want you to panic.’ Poor girl, that she should have been persuaded by grown-ups of such imminent catastrophe, that this should be blighting her young life, and that she sees the solution as ‘panic’. The people who have inculcated in her these life-destroying thoughts have much to answer for.

Quote# 142198

My husband was arrested Dec 3, 2012 for sex abuse to my daughters (his step-daughters). We had been together for 10 years and married for 7 years. I never suspected anything. My ex husband always made comments to the effect of my husband sexually abusing the girls - never took it serious as when I asked the girls about it they denied it. My ex even called child services a couple times and they came out and investigated and never came up with anything to confirm the allegations. My ex put me through hell when we separated and divorced. My current husband was (is) such a loving man, he made me happier than I ever thought possible. My girls loved him and I never seen any actions to make me suspicious of anything. My oldest wanted my current husband to adopt her, ex would never allow that.
My world shattered the morning of Dec. 3, 2012 when I got a voice mail at work from my ex stating the same thing as before - He got a call from a friend of the girls saying my husband was having sex with my girls. As always I checked it out. I left work right after getting there and getting this message, went to the school and talked to my girls expecting to get the same answer as I had always gotten in the past - no nothing has happened. Well to my surprise my oldest told me that he had been touching her a few years before - no actual sex. I was about to leave when I decided to talk to my youngest daughter and she told me the same thing he had been touching her - no actual sex. I was devastated. I left the school went home and state and cried, trying to figure out what to do. I wanted to call him up and have him come home but I was afraid - not knowing how he would react (he has never harmed me in anyway). I ended up calling a hot line and talked to a counselor for a bit and then she transferred me to the sheriff's department to make a report.
The Sheriff's department and a Social worker went to the school and talked to my youngest daughter and then came to my home and talked to my oldest daughter and me. I was told they would go to his work and get him and talk to him later before he got off work. I was scared about what would happen. It never occurred to me that he would be arrested and booked that day and wait for a preliminary hearing the following day.
I was scared, hurt, angry, confused, worried. I didn't have a clue what would happen next. I did go to the bank and open new checking and savings accounts and move most of the money, left him a bit incase he needed it. Well as it turned out I got a call about 4:25pm that day from the detective that was at the house telling me that they had talked to him and he admitted it and they were booking him and they would contact me in the morning about the first hearing. My heart sank, I was totally lost. My world had just been totally turned upside down. He tried to call me after he was booked - I thought it might be him, but didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it, plus at that point I did not want to talk to him. I didn't sleep at all that night.
I got the girls up for school the following morning and got myself ready for work. I got to work and knew I really shouldn't be there. My old boss seen me and knew something was wrong - I told her I would talk to her once my boss got there and we could all talk together. The 3 of us went into my bosses office and I broke down crying and forced myself to tell them what happened. It was one of the hardest things I've had to do. They were both shocked as they both know my husband. They have been 2 of my best support people through this year. My boss sent me home and my old boss actually met me at the courthouse later that day as she didn't want me going by myself. She also went with me before I went home to my husband work to get his vehicle and some personal belongings.
After the hearing the detective had me go to the sheriff's office as she wanted to talk to the girls again and they met me there. I wanted to see my husband and at first they said no then allowed me to see him. It was hard seeing him and I had everything I wanted to say written down so I wouldn't forget.
The rest of that week was hard and I can't believe the things I did and thought to do and still was there for my girls. No one warned me about it hitting the newspaper and I never thought about it. It did on Thursday and I got a call from his daughter telling me about the newspaper and that it was also on the talk radio show. I hadn't told any of my family yet. I called my Aunt and she already knew from the newspaper, she was just waiting for me to call, told my niece she was in shock and they both came over. It was good having them here for me and the girls. I had them tell the rest of the family.
I kept a journal for the first few months and actually sent it to my husband in parts so he could read it and see what I had been through mentally and physically. It hurt him but he needed to know. I have not held back my feelings from him.
I still live my husband, write him letters, talk to him on the phone and visit him. Most people do not understand how I could have anything to do with him after what he did. There are times I do not understand how I can still love him wither, but I do. I have been doing a lot of praying and it must be part of the plan of God as my feelings have not changed in the last year. My friend from church tells me God has a plan and to keep my faith and follow what God's plan. So every day I pray and follow what I feel God wants me to and that is stay with my husband.
It will be a long haul as his sentence is 10 years to life. If by chance he gets parole after ten years it would be great as long as we stay together.

They don't lie. There are many well known scientists who are rethinking their positions on evolution vs. creation. I am really impressed by yalls defense of the "faith" though, just shows the brainwashing program in public schools is doing a good job.

So, if you would have asked me my opinion on the registry a year ago, I would have said, its great and we all need to make ourselves aware of all the red dots on the block.

Now, I am engaged to one. He served 10 years for the sexual assault of his daughter who was between the ages of 6 and eleven during the abuse. Prision saved this man's life and with the help and healing that only a supernatural God can provide, he has an amazing restored relationship with his now 24 year old daughter.

God is good. But people don't want to hear that a man can overcome this most disturbing urge. They want to contunue to vilanize him and make life so difficult that at times he has contemplated taking his own life. Where is the help? Support and body of Christ for the "lepers of our day?"

According to a recent petition launched on Change.org, the Air Max logo on the bottom of some Nike Air Max sneakers resembles the word “Allah,” the word for God in Arabic, written in Arabic script.

“Nike has produced the Nike Air Max 270 shoe with the script logo on the sole resembling the word Allah in Arabic, which will surely be trampled, kicked and become soiled with mud or even filth,” Saiqa Noreen, who started the appeal, wrote on the petition’s homepage.

“It is outrageous and appalling of Nike to allow the name of God on a shoe,” Noreen wrote. “This is disrespectful and extremely offensive to Muslims and insulting to Islam. Islam teaches compassion, kindness and fairness towards all.”

Noreen also urged Nike to “recall this blasphemous and offensive shoe and all products with the design logo resembling the word Allah from worldwide sales immediately.”

Nike’s Air shoes have faced criticism in the past for their branding. In 1997, Nike came under fire for using a flame-shaped logo that resembled the world “Allah” in Arabic script. The company apologized and stopped selling shoes with that design.

In this case, Nike maintains that the logo is nothing more than a stylized representation of the Air Max brand.

Quote# 142140

February 8, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – The daughter of famed science fiction author Marion Zimmer Bradley has written an autobiographical account revealing the horrors of growing up in a home raised by LGBT parents who repeatedly sexually abused her and her brothers.

“I have heard all the customary protestations. ‘Your parents were evil because they were evil, not because they were gay,’ but I disagree,” writes Moira Greyland in her new book, The Last Closet: The Dark Side of Avalon.

“The underlying problem is a philosophical one that is based on beliefs that are not only common to gay culture but to popular culture. And this is the central belief: All Sex is Always Right No Matter What,” she wrote.

“I had both biological parents in the home, but both refused to act like traditional parents,” writes Greyland. “I needed my father to protect me and to see me as a girl instead of refusing to protect me and seeing me as an amorphous nothing who competed with him for boys. I needed my mother to love me and hold me and comfort me instead of being a terrifying, angry dictator. Worse than that, I was expected to not want them to love me and protect me, or to act like normal parents. I was supposed to be happy that they were doing their own thing, no matter what they did to us.”

The Last Closet has been an Amazon bestseller for weeks as a Kindle e-book, and is scheduled to be published as a print book this month. Over one hundred readers have reviewed it, and virtually all have given it five stars.

The book recounts Greyland’s life with her mother, who was the author of The Mists of Avalon and many other famous works of science fiction and fantasy, and her father, Walter Breen, who was a world-renowned authority on numismatics. Both identified as “gay,” both abused drugs and were involved in occult practices, and both were pedophiles, Greyland says, a claim that has been confirmed by her only surviving brother.

The couple’s LGBT ideology was constantly imposed on the children by both parents. Greyland says that Zimmer Bradley expected her to take on masculine mannerisms and to become a lesbian, and was disappointed in her attraction to the opposite sex, accusing her of being a “breeder.” Greyland also had to hide from her parents her conversion to Christianity which would have been received with terrible derision.

Alarmingly, Greyland reveals that her parents’ sympathetic views of pedophilia and pederasty had been a public fact for decades, one known particularly among science fiction and fantasy fans who attended fan conferences. Science fiction fans documented Breen's molestation of at least ten children by 1963, which had only resulted in his temporary exclusion from the largest science fiction fan convention, Worldcon, and was never reported to the police. Breen continued to attend conferences for many years afterward, baiting children he targeted with abuse with various science education gadgets that would attract their attention.

Greyland writes that Breen was an open member of the “North American Man-Boy Love Association,” and he saw his pederastic proclivities as a natural consequence of his homosexuality. He and Zimmer Bradley jointly published a journal on pederasty and pedophilia, The International Journal of Greek Love, in 1965 and 1966, and Zimmer wrote an article for it treating lesbian pedophilia in a positive manner.

As awareness grew of Breen’s molestation of children among Berkeley science fiction fans in 1963, a newsletter was published about the problem that came to be called the “Breendoggle,” which openly speculated that Zimmer Bradley was tolerant of Breen’s behavior. However, the truth about Zimmer Bradley’s own sexual abuse of her daughter did not come to light until 2014, when Greyland was asked about her parents’ connection to pedophilia by the blogger and science fiction writer Deirdre Saoirse Moen.

Greyland’s response, published in Moen’s blog, received heavy coverage by major media outlets worldwide, including The Washington Post, The Guardian, Die Welt, and Entertainment Weekly. Many fans and former acquaintances of Zimmer Bradley denounced her, and some even burned her books.

“The first time she molested me, I was three. The last time, I was twelve, and able to walk away,” wrote Moira Greyland of her mother.

“I put Walter in jail for molesting one boy. I had tried to intervene when I was 13 by telling Mother and [Zimmer Bradley’s girlfriend] Lisa, and they just moved him into his own apartment.”

“I had been living partially on couches since I was ten years old because of the out of control drugs, orgies, and constant flow of people in and out of our family 'home.'"

The family’s secrets began to unravel in the late 1980s, when Moira, now an adult, personally saw her father sexually abusing a boy and reported him to the police. Her testimony ensured a second conviction after an earlier arrest and conviction in the 1950s. Soon after, police uncovered the previous conviction as well as other accusations of sexual molestation, and prosecutors were able to send Walter Breen to prison for the rest of his life. Breen never repented of his acts, and always defended them, treating himself as a victim of an ignorant and backward society. He died of cancer while in jail awaiting transfer to long-term imprisonment.

Zimmer Bradley and her lesbian partner Elisabeth Walters went on the record in ensuing civil litigation admitting to knowing about Breen’s proclivities, and ultimately agreed to pay a civil settlement to Breen’s victims. However, their fans remained generally unaware of Zimmer Bradley’s own acts of sexual abuse until Moira and her brother Patrick began to speak publicly about it in 2014.

The trauma suffered by Moira and Patrick was so great that both of them chose a new last name, “Greyland,” to repudiate their parents’ last names. The abuse was not only sexual, but also physical and psychological, and was so savage that both siblings continue to suffer from powerful symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Greyland says she has spoken to many others who were raised by LGBT parents and their stories are very similar to her own.

“Every single child of gay parents with whom I spoke had certain things in common,” she writes in The Last Closet. “Those with only same-sex parents in the home ached for their missing parent and longed for a real father, and nearly all of us had been sexualized far too young.”

On the trip to the moon, they were so concerned that there might be some type of bacteria life on the moon. They spent extra money to isolate the moon-rocks when they got them in the spacecraft, and when they got them back on earth. They will do the same with all the other planets. They will say, "Oh, there might be life there. We need to protect those rocks." One of the astronauts offered to eat some of the moon dust on the way back to prove that there was no life on it and that it was perfectly sterile. Bring back a Mars rock or a Jupiter rock, I'll eat it or lick it. Life doesn't evolve. [Emphasis added]

I would be critical of the "ace community" regardless because human beings are not fucking amoebas.

"Asexual" already had a meaning before the sparklequeers came along and it did NOT mean "I don't take care of my body/ I have an undiagnosed and therefore untreated health problem, so I don't have a sex drive anymore."

Also you do not have to want to fuck everyone on the planet to have a healthy sex drive. I fucking hate porn, it's warped EVERYONE's expectations of what human sexuality should be about.

So yeah, basically, fuck "aromantic"-ism too.
