You are completely wrong in generalizing about Christianity. You claim to have studied Christianity, but it is clear that you haven’t really studied it, but rather 'studied' it by public opinion, and such. If you were to really have studied Christianity, you would know 'The Great Commission' where Jesus commanded His disciples to 'preach' to the entire world. Never was there anything about having to convert anyone.

However, you'll never find a koala's offspring to produce something different like a horse. You'll never find where a horse evolved into a bee which evolved into a dog, which evolved into a bat.

There's plenty of *some evidence*: Hundreds, thousands, of claims of the supernatural in the world throughout human history; Consciousness; Free will; Concepts; Parsimony; Cosmological argument considerations. No evidence? Wake up and smell the coffee: When are you atheists going to stop ignoring the evidence?

What is it with the whole Christian/Catholic thing. Never have i been so confused as when I asked someone if they were a Christian and they replyed I'm a Catholic, I asked the same Question again and i got a blank expression from the person I asked.

Quote# 2249

The theory of evolution teaches that living things are becoming more complex as time progresses. Because the chromosomes in living matter are one of the most complex bits of matter in the known universe, it would seem logical to assume that organisms with the least number of chromosomes were the first ones to evolve and those with the most chromosomes are the end result of millions of years of evolution experimenting to increase complexity in living organisms. From the chart, it is "obvious" that we all started off as penicillium with only 2 chromosomes, and that we slowly evolved into fruit flies. After many "millions of years" we turned into tomatoes (or house flies) and so on, until we reached the human stage with 46 chromosomes. One of our ancestors must have been one of the identical triplets—opossums, redwood trees, and kidney beans—with 22 chromosomes each. If we are allowed to "continue evolving" we may someday be tobacco plants and maybe we may even become carp with 100, or maybe even the ultimate life form, a fern with 480 chromosomes! Don’t you believe it! God made this world and all life forms, as recorded in the Bible!

If you tell someone the truth, and they kill themself...versus if you tell someone a lie and they live on some false hope? Which is better for a productive society? Completely detached from any religious views, couldn't it be advantageous for a government looking to have productive citizens? I'm not saying it is or isn't...just the possibility. If everyone believes that they are part of some higher plan, I'm sure they will work and encourage much better than if they think that their entire world is the product of natural forces.

Atheism even has missionaries. Those missionaries are on these boards right now!! They came into a board marked "spiritual discussion" WHY?? What are they accomplishing? And why are they trying to accomplish anything? If atheism is the lack of belief in God, then why are they coming on to a board about spirituality?

The answer is that atheism is not only a belief in no God..It is an agenda, an ORGANIZED effort to kill any sign of God..In fact every year atheists ask for funding from the government...Oh ok, so then you are a religion...Why do the heathen rage? What is making them so angry? Why are they forcing God out of school? Why else would they come onto these boards, blapheme God anyway they can, mock prayer request threads(ahem..paul2), spit on the Bible, spit on faith, and generally hate all organized religion?????

One more thing that is always said by atheists is "No one has ever been killed because of atheism." I beg to differ..I believe that every death since the beginning of time was due to atheism. Even the crusades...I believe every single solitary sin, even little white lies, even by a Christian, is caused by atheism...

Quote# 2260

Although it's astonishing to me, it's not difficult for God to convince a human of His exsistence, is it? He's God after all. So, for example, if He wanted the Bible to be true, reliable and perfect, it wouldn't be difficult for Him, would it? Admittedly, it would be difficult for humans to maintain the integrity of scriptures over thousands of years, but not for God. I realise this is a truism but that doesn't mean it can't be true. Knowledge is more important than information; but wisdom is more important than knowledge. In fact. I predict that we'll soon start talking about Wisdom Technology or Management, rather than information technology or knowledge management. You heard it here first!

Regarding the Big Bang, scientists tell us, 'The emptiness is supposed to have gathered together in one place, and gotten so thick that the 'nothing' exploded—and blew itself into hydrogen gas, the laws of nature somehow invented themselves during the explosion, then the outward exploding gas supposedly gathered itself into clumps and the loose, outward flowing gas next decided to push itself into stars. Then all the stars began exploding in super-nova explosions. But, just before light rays from the explosions could reach our planet in our time in history, the explosions are said to have conveniently stopped.'

Please, don't take me as obnoxious or full of myself or anything, but look at it this way... everyone has experiences in their lives, say a child grows up in an abusive home and that somehow leads to him meeting another person from an abusive home that is a christian, then that first child ends up believing. Maybe the child's abusive father or drunk mother or whatever were put here for no reason other than to give their child that bad experience that would eventually come to God.

Look at that women who was just convicted for killing her children [Andrea Yates, who drowned her kids after thinking Satan would possess them if she didn't]. The excuse they use is the poor little thing was stressed out and over worked. So she did not know what she was doing. She had a post whatever depression, so she should not have to be held accountable. The 'poor little thing' should have cried out to God for help when she found herself in over her head. But instead she went to man for help, and did not find any. Man will let you down, God never will fail us.
