Why do you doubt that Eden ever existed and why do you need more than scriptual evidence? We are dealing with Moses here, who has more than proven himself to be reliable as a historian. If you want to live off in your own little fantasy world, your welcome to do that. But if you want to live in the real world, then there are things that people accept that live in the real world.

Convince you [Genesis is history]? There is a little bit of a problem with that, sense people lived to be 1000 year back then and that maybe a little bit of a stretch for you to believe.

I am just stating the facts. The Bible is absolute truth. There is some truth in Science and I beleive we can use the Bible to determine what can be considered reliable and what areas of science should be disregarded. The Bible sets the standard that science can only hope to live up to.

I cannot believe what I saw on the news last night*... there was an interview w/a CatholicParishoner... Full-face, on his forehead was a large black smudge... this mark bore no resemblance to a cross whatsoever. In my entire life, never had I seen this sight!I chalked it up to just a real radical person. The last time I saw a smudge like that was on Charles Manson. Then, it showed the people coming out of the church a moment later. I sat and stared in total amazement...people walking out of that Catholic church had the same black smudge on their forehead!!! Right smack dab in the center! I have never felt such a cold chill as that which enveloped me. I tingled all over in stunned amazement. I told my husband that I wondered if this was just the 'forerunner' [to the Mark of theBeast]? It made an huge impact on me, and it should have done so for the entire Christian population. I don't know why it was 'black' or why it was in the center of the forehead, but one thing I do know, it was a bone-chilling sight![* The above was posted a day or so after Ash Wednesday.]

Shows what people believe when you repeat a lie often enough...sigh. I have known a fair number of gay couples in the past. This is the reality of the situation - gay couples love each other so much that they bed with a parada of other partners without a second thought. I have not known any exceptions to this behaviour amoung them. These so called gay couples usually start breaking apart when both decide to sleep with the same other person and jealousy kicks in. 'Coupleship' is a joke amoung the gays I have known. If society said, 'Ok, everyone can get married but it will be a criminal offense to commit adultery, and you can only get married once.' the gay communtiy would go ballistic . It is not what they want.

[When some vandals beheaded a Virgin Mary statue]It wasn't nice that the stone was broken(by human hands), but who knows, God may have been tired of the idolatry and decided that it had to go. Wouldn't be the first time that God destroyed man's idols that mocked Him and His sovereignty.

In fact, a woman has no RIGHT to an empty womb; getting pregnant is part of being a woman - that's how it naturally is and, though it might seem unfair, that's how it was meant to be. Who are we to accuse nature of imposing on our supposed rights?

[Replying to 'would you renounce Christ to save your life and family?']This may sound harsh but one time I told Maria that if I had to make a choice, her life or renouncing Christ, she was going to die. And I expect the same from her!

That's powerful man. That awe-inspires the heck outta me. I think I'm going to bring this up to the girl I marry someday too. I mean, your marriage is about you, your spouse with God as the head and all. Must be nice.

Quote# 6475

That used to bother me a great deal. What should I do if...? If I let my spouse die when I could save her with just the words from my mouth would not this be a very great sin? On the other hand how could I deny Christ!? I got the answer in, of all things, a comic book! That very scenario was presented. The doomed character begged, 'Don't do it (deny Christ)! I am saved. My destiny is assured.' That's it. My destiny and hers are assured.

Quote# 6476

Most of you have responded as if it was the life of a saved person who was going to lose it... the slightly more difficult hypothetical question is when the life of an unsaved person is at stake. Would I renounce Christ to save the life of an unsaved friend of mine, so that she might have a chance at life and coming to accept salvation? I would say that I wouldn't. What sort of example would I set if I were to renounce Christ before her?

Quote# 6477

Do you deny your God and break your relationship with Him, damning your own soul to eternal hell (which you will later regret in hell), or do you let your children undergo a highly imaginative demise - mayhap even before your own eyes? My advice under that scenario is to let God be in control. Sure your children, perhaps your spouse or parents may suffer because of your choice, but you never know what God would do to alliviate that suffering for them, or maybe they need to suffer to get themselves in shape with Christ.

Hey MG....The whole lot of us will need prayer if the woman does make it. I guess we just need to look at her as dreadfully deceived. I guess we need to look at all the world that doesn't know Christ with pity instead of hate right?

Whose to say she stays only 2nd in command for long? Kerry didn't just fall off the turnip truck, he would have to be looking over his shoulder all the time if he picked her to be his successor in case an ACCIDENT should befall him.

I was going to post exactly the same thing, Elizabeth, but you beat me to it! I believe that is EXACTLY what will happen if she is vp to anyone. Just look at the line of 'accidents' that happened during the Clinton years. Funny how the 'accidents' stopped when the administration changed, huh?

Also, if Hillary is VEEP, you better believe that Bill will be right there trying to run the presidency and using Kerry as a straw man to do.....get that 3rd term in that the 22nd amendment denied him.

How about this scary scenario: Hillary is not running for vp, but is making herself very visible. Kerry has an 'accident' before the election, and Hillary steps in as the new nominee, here to save the day for the democrats. Don't know how plausable this is, I just have an active imagination today.
