Quote# 7248

Many of the atheists today are a result of the very thing Bobinius claims of religion. The Big Bang 'Theory' and the 'Theory' of Evolution, for example, are taught to our children in schools all across the globe, and are passed on as fact. When in fact, there is NO 'evidence' to support such theories. Don’t get me wrong, I love science. It is mankind’s search for truth. But I will not stand for someone to pass off theories as fact.

I’ve heard all that [from TalkOrigins], I’m a big science buff. Although I doubt you will find the evidence to support those theories in a forum. Opinions? Butt loads. Evidence? No. Out of the many arguments, carbon dating is what’s most referred to. However, Carbon 14... has a trusted accuracy of just over 10,000 years (kind of funny about that huh?) And it is 'assumed' accurate up to 50,000 years. If you hear of carbon dating into millions of years, you are hearing a very confused and illogical report. Even still, nobody can prove carbon dating to be accurate... [And] I am quite well aware of the meaning of Theory. Maybe you should try to learn it.

Oh good, so you do understand what a theory is. Now, stop letting people tell you that something is a fact and a theory at the same time. Evolution is not a fact. It is a hypothesis.

I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt, so I checked it [the huge <A href="http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/">'29 Evidences for Macroevolution'</A> article at TalkOrigins] out. Now, you tell me why that page gives only opinions and no evidence. All it did was proclaim evidence. Using things like...'The honest scientist, like the philosopher, will tell you that nothing whatever can be or has been proved with fully 100% certainty, not even that you or I exist, nor anyone except himself, since he might be dreaming the whole thing.'LOL...not honest ones, but bias atheistic ones trying to cover their a$$, yes.Or... 'There is so much evidence in support of this [people evolving from whatever] aspect of primate evolution that it qualifies as a fact by any common definition of the word 'fact.' No facts. No references to support these supposed facts given as opinion. In 'fact' many of the claimed human fossil bones that supported such dribble have been proven to be fakes or hoaxes. And any found genuine human fossil remains have contradicted the theory of evolution. Many of them even taken out of museums to save embarrassment.

Quote# 7252

I think it's important that you do not consider yourself more righteous. The Bible does make it very clear that homosexuality is something that God is not ok with. But it's also clear that adultery, incest, rape, murder, thievery, conning people, lying, usury, idolatry, etc, are not ok with Him either. That being said, I don't see any good argument to allow homosexual marriages. So what if they love each other? If a pedophile loves a 9 year old girl does that make it ok for them to marry? If not, why should the way one feels about another determine the right to marry? It's not about feelings... Marriage is not a government institution; it is a Judeo-Christian institution. It is not up to the government of any state to redefine it... And no matter what the homosexual lobby says, and no matter what any judge says, they cannot change my mind about it, because my opinion is informed by God's Holy Scripture, which I believe to be infallible. I also find it regrettable that adultery is not a crime in this country anymore... Women are not respected as they should be in our world anymore. The respect of a woman is not in considering her co-equal to a man, nor is it ensuring that she has the same employment opportunities as a man. Respect of a woman is to treat her as a Gift from God to all men... we are to keep them from harms way even if they don't like it.

I believe that the UFO thing will definately play a big roll in end times. Rev 12 states that Satan and his following are thrown out of heaven and down to the earth. The end times for both heaven and earth will be finished here on earth. So there is definately a UFO connection/explanation.

... this article I wrote a while ago spells out the craziness of all people (not just Muslims) who turn their backs on Jesus:- &lt;&lt;<U>ALCATRAZ</U> In the film 'Escape from Alcatraz',Clint Eastwood blows the socks off his convict pals when he coolly announces 'I think I know a way outta here'And naturally they're all ears and eagerly want to hear his plan,as none of them is dumb enough to say 'Nah,not interested!' Yet amazingly that's what some people say to Jesus!Here we are trapped in these bodies in this prison we call a world,with nothing in front of us except lonely graves,but Jesus tells us:- 'It doesn't have to be like that,I know a way out!'Jesus tells us that if we follow him out,there's a mansion waiting for each of us in a paradise of a land ruled by his Father. Call me crazy,but that sounds like one helluva great deal to me,a lot better than a cold maggotty grave in a cemetery where people walk their dogs to pee and poo!&gt;&gt;

First, you have to look at our way of thinking compared to those in biblical times...They did not see it as morally wrong at all...Thus every nation had slaves...They did not think like we do now AT ALL...Intellectualism has given rise to debate over whether slavery should be considered moral and outlawed...A HUGE portion of this debate has to do with our constitution and interpreting the law which states all men are created equal...You see, it wasn't based on the Bible that Christians decided slavery was not moral, it was based on our constitution...Christ also taught to submit yourselves to those in power and to the laws which are in place...At the time, no laws were established condemning slavery no matter how bad you thought it was...In recent times we HAVE established laws stating that slavery is outlawed and thus as Christians we must follow the laws of our land...

Of course He didn't think it was OK for masters to be CRUEL to their slaves...It is clearly stated that slaves should be subject with all reverence to their masters whether they are good or bad to them...This doesn't show that God felt it was ok for masters to mistreat slaves...

Quote# 7263

I don't disagree with the Bible when it talks about slavery. I agree with EVERYTHING that has ever been said in the Bible about slaves... I don't find slavery immoral. The bible doesn't say that it is immoral. There was a certain way slaves were to be treated...It's not my fault some people went and MADE immoral decisions with their slaves...I certainly wouldn't have if I had owned them...How about my maid? Is she not technically a slave? I treat her with respect and she does the same things slaves would have done for me...Am I immoral for owning her for a few hours out of the day?... [Replying to 'If the 13th Amendment (which ended slavery) were to be overturned tomorrow, then would Christians be able to own slaves and still be considered moral?']If people wanted to own slaves, then yes. It would no longer be illegal and there would be no law against it. It would certainly make for an interesting debate though considering our country values freedom of ALL people above anything else. [Replying to 'When slavery was legal in this country, and slaves escaped, were they disobeying God?'] Depends on whether they were Christians or not. Now it seems that many of them weren't able to read anyway so how could they have read the Bible to understand that? If they knew the Bible then yes, they would have been disobeying God...

Thats exactly what my life is all about at the minute. I left my job. Just left, no major reason really. I feel like something is going to happen. I were so amazed and concerned after starting to read about the bible, end times prophecies, ufo's etc and when connecting them to current world events... well i figured i would spend time doing what is important to me. I am spending more time with my family, going out metal detecting, studying at college etc etc. I couldn't care that i have no income. Maybe i have gone crazy? All i know is that something BIG is going to happen soon. I wanna be in the front row with my family, not stuck on a production line!

Yesterday I saw the UFOs on the TV news. The mexican government officially acknowledge their existence. Today I read on the newspaper that a locust [Cicada?] plague of biblical dimensions (billions of them) are going to come over Washington, DC in a few days. Well, for me, these are the birth pangs speeding up. Our rapture is coming soon, folks. Aleluia!!! Gloria a Deus!!

I'm sorry, but I saw the video footage from this mexican [UFO] sighting, and no way do I believe that it was 'BALL LIGHTNING'!! I've never heard of such a thing 1st of all, secondly...the government lies! And is that the excuse for every other sighting that there has been? Every sighting has a different excuse. It's ridiculous..
