The evalution theory in some sense is sound, but at the same time, if you compare it to the Biblical take on creation, and combine the 2, then you get my twisted veiw on life. In the bible it says that time in heaven and time on earth are not calculated the same. (the story of a man who walked with Jesus in heaven, he had only been gone a few moments and when he returned many years had passed) So with that said there are what 6 major evalutionary periods?! well, Life as we know it was created in 6 days. So, for my own sanity, that's the way I look at it. no real scientific proof, just my own theory. lol Life is what you make of it and there will ALWAYS be someone out there looking for answers we can not answer in this lifetime.

You would be surprised to see that they do not condradict eachother at all on the subject of formation of Earth and the order in which animals came first and how the gases seperated and how Earth was just a ball of fire before God touched it.
