What you are asking me to believe is simply insane. Here are the facts of this case:

Foley was a homosexual.
Foley was a pedophile.
Foley was being covered up by the democrats.
Foley was ousted by a REPUBLICAN(Dennis Hasert)

How many homosexuals are republicans? How about pedophiles? How many republican scandals are being covered up by democrats? How many republicans are betrayed by other republicans? The answer to all these questions are Zero. Foley was a democrat operative, no doubt sent in to provide a "Black eye" to the party he was misrepresenting. However the facts are on the table, he was a Democrat. Why do you think the democrats are under attack now? Because he supported a pedophile just because he was in their party.

The democrats have had a long time in putting operatives under "false" aliases and then later pretend to be a victim. Richard Nixon and Watergate. And let us not forget Clinton and Gerry Studds.

God can heal anything, but what God does for us depends on our capacity to believe that he can do it for us.

This is a true story:(not that you'll believe me ,but whatever...

A pastor once told a story about a man in a wheelchair that he asked, "Do you want to walk?" The man said, " Yes!" The pastor said, " Then get up!" The man struggled to get up. This happened two more times, so the pastor ripped the blanket off of the man to see that he had no legs. Immediately, he stopped telling the man to get up. Why, because the only person in that room who believed that he man could get up with no legs was the man himself. Their doubt may well have cost that man new legs. They beleived that a crippled man with legs could get up, but they didn't believe that God could heal a man without legs.

My point of view is what you call a cop-out: I don't care if you never see a miracle or proof thereof, the judgement is certain. (This should get some blood boiling)

The shooting at a Pennsylvania Amish school is the most maniacal act of insanity I have ever seen. Amish children were brutally executed for a reason that will never be known. A peaceful community was suddenly ravaged by violence.

This is becoming a divided, dark, godless country because of the American Civil Liberties Union, lawyers and politicians who are more concerned for their careers than the moral fiber of our nation’s people, particularly schoolchildren. Why are we catering to a handful of atheists?

I am proud to live among the Missouri Amish. They are a generous, loving, family-oriented people who read and live the Bible. Their work ethic and morals are beyond reproach. We should learn from them.

Somewhere still in humanity is the innate desire to do good. Most intentions begin with an embryo of kindness and yet somehow, as we age and experience a bankrupt and corrupted society, good intentions go awry.

God is the most incredible power that any of us will ever experience — or not experience until it is too late.

This country was founded on the laws given to Moses. Let us remember: Eternity is forever.

(In response to an article about stem cell research being done on hybrid cells)

This is not the first time. Human-rat and human-pig chimeras have been created and destroyed.

Mankind will continue to push the envelope.

I expect that the time period prior to destruction will gradually increase.

I predict eventually we will create an animal that has a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail. Or perhaps a bull's head on a human body or a horse-man centaur combination.

Science cannot logically be expected to refrain from pushing the envelope on these types of experiments as long as there is a strong atheistic tendency in science.

Without a belief in good or evil, there is no reason to refrain from experimenting on humans themselves.

[Full article includes pictures of women playing sports]

However, if you look at pictures of female athletes who play sports or observe them on the playing fields, you will notice that many develop strong, muscular bodies. Female athletes also sneer, wince, push, and fight just like the men. I notice these things all the time in pictures in our hometown newspaper. The sneers are most obvious; they make young women very unfeminine. The masculine uniforms and sweaty bodies aren’t very attractive, either.
[...]
I propose that sports greatly hinders the development of godly, Biblical, feminine character. Parents today expend extraordinary amounts of time and energy taking their daughters from one sports event to another, week after week, even to the point where it exhausts the family and family resources. The fruits we see are that today’s Christian women are often ill-prepared to be Biblically obedient wives and mothers.

I also notice when driving by our public school grounds and sports fields another phenomenon taking place: the young girls are trained in sports right along with the boys. To me, this can only be degrading to the boys. In some cases, girls regularly participate on boys' sports teams, and therefore compete against the boys themselves. During the past decade, more and more girls participated in wrestling; since there were no girls' wrestling teams, they joined the boys' teams and competed against the boys. I read about one school where the boys refused to wrestle the girls and forfeited their matches; there could be no greater embarrassment to them than to lose to a girl, not to mention it likely violated their sense of masculine chivalry. So not only is female sports participation degrading the feminine nature of women, in many cases it degrades the developing masculinity in boys.

(In order to believe that the Foley affair was a planned Democratic plot, we'd have to assume that the Republicans are so stupid as to let it happen.)

jameswright3: No we don't. All we have to assume is those lurid IM's came out at the right time in conjunction with the rekindling of the e-mail story, which is what occured
Republicans didn't let it happen. They didn't have the information the Dems had. If there was anyone involved in a coverup, it was the Dems, who held this until the right time
I wonder why Pelosi won't go under oath or sign a sworn affidavit
Maybe because she knew about it all along..
There has to be some explanation why she doens't want to give testimony under oath as part of an internal house investigation

(If the Republicans were worried about this story coming out at election time, HASTERT SHOULD HAVE ADDRESSED THE ISSUE YEARS AGO.)

jameswright3: They addressed it as far as they could go based on the innocuous e-mails they had

(First, you claim the story isn't news.)

jameswright3: The original story wasn't news without the IM's

(Then you claim the Democrats have been sitting on it like it was some top secret intelligence.)

jameswright3: They have sat on it. Those IM's were in the hands of the democratic operatives as per the pages that were involved in it

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there.

Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him.

She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her."

Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers will not stand up for God? Repost this as Love vs. Sex if you truly believe in God.., PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.....and if u stand up 4 him u would repost this 90% wont repost

Look, this really doesn't surprise me after finding out the truth about the whole Foley scandal. We've seen this kind of behavior before from their party (*), we know what they're capable of. Lord knows that Clinton was an embarrassment to their party, and so was Gerry Studds. Heck, he was even elected again after his scandal. But it looks like they've learned their lesson after these two mistakes, and forced Foley to resign.

Foley was just the beginning. I predict that within the next few weeks we will see more ousted democrats because of their deviant behavior. The American people will not tolerate it, nor do our children deserve this kind of half-handed leadership. We can do better. The question now is, do we allow these injustices to continue happening? We know of the dangers of homosexuality and liberalism, but why do we keep electing these people in the hopes that we will get something different? This is just one more reason why I support homosexuals be registered to the sex offenders list...yet they continue to get special treatment and avoid the hassles that other known sexual deviants have to go through.

My heart goes out to Dennis Hasert. He should be awarded for the courage it took to oust Foley. But whatever, no good deed goes unpunished. He ousted a pedophile and just because that pedophile happened to be a democrat, we see them all flocking to Foley's defense. Demanding that Hasert resign.

If the placebo effect can cure a person why cant it make a person ill.

I am not a strong fan of modern medical science.

Not at all?

To me it feels that you get to the hospital inorder for the doctor to force one's deseases upon the patint.

So while most argue that a person goes to the hospital becuase he is ill and wants to be cured.

I argue that a person goes to the hospital becaues he believes he is ill and then through a placebo effect becomes ill because of the doctors assumptions of what deasease the symthoms might fill up to.

When a persos fills diffrent symthoms of something. A placebo effect is caused for the patint, that causes the patient to become ill. But not until the doctor starts trating the preassumed illness.

This is marly hypothitical.

Open for debate.

lets take it once more:

If the placebo effect can cure a person, why cant it make a person ill?

Why do you get ill?

I prefer the healing power of Jesus.

All that is required is some faith

The way that evolution was taught to me in school was that over millions of years man evolved from amoeba, then become monkey, then became man. That clearly goes against the Biblical teachings that God created man in His image in one 24 hour day. It teaches that man sinned, then new he was naked and God made the first clothes in the whole word for him. The Bible teaches that God created man in his image with intelligence. The way that evolution teaches is that our intelligence was evolved over time. That does not compute together. If evolutionists are saying that there can be a God, which God are they referring to, surely not the God of the Bible.

If evolution is true where is the evidence? Where are the half man half apes stuck in the evolution process? How come monkeys are not still evolving say 10 a day into man? How come man is not still evolving into a flying being? How come we stopped evolving?

Not everyone is a christian honey. Should non-christians have to live by your morals at the expense of themselves?"

I am not ignorant becuase i am christian, i know that non belivers want abortions, but i am a beliver and i am called to be strong in my faith and to abide by the bible and obey God COMPLEATLY, so i will do just that. I am sorry if I offened you but this is no place to bring anger and negativity. People are not dumb they know sex gets you pregnant, they need to deal with the consiquences of thier actions, and not by killing innocent peole becuase it makes thier life eaiser. " at the expence of themselves" that sounds funny seeing how they dont want to die themselves but with rip out and throw away another human being. Women have choices, to use protection, to not have sex or to give the children up to families who can support and love the children. That is the choice. If going by your theory then people should have the choice to kill anyone, not just fetus's.

“We already knew that Mark Foley claims he’s an alcoholic who suffers from mental illness, and yesterday his lawyer told us what everyone in Washington already knew—Foley is gay. What apparently no one knew was that Foley was allegedly abused by a clergyman when he was a teenager in high school. Since Foley is a Catholic, the suggestion is that a priest abused him.

(...)
“As for the alleged abuse, it’s time to ask some tough questions. First, there is a huge difference between being groped and being raped, so which was it Mr. Foley? Second, why didn’t you just smack the clergyman in the face? After all, most 15-year-old teenage boys wouldn’t allow themselves to be molested. So why did you?”

So...are you looking for explanations that make sense or don't make sense? God's explanation always agrees with reality whereas human explanations always disagree with reality. For example, meteors are composed of ice and solid particles which means that the explanation that God created life out of water is much more plausible than the "big bang" coming from heat when the temperatures are way below zero up in space.

If you are one of those that doubt the existence of the devil then let me start off by saying that the devil is real and he is sly... so slick that he has deceived you into doubting his existence! The devil is a deceiver and he is so smooth at shoving thoughts into our heads that a lost soul without God in his/her life will not be able to discern between their own thoughts, and those from the devil. I will show you what I have experienced and you will judge for yourself, the validity of the existence of the devil. If you conclude that the devil exist then you surely cannot doubt the existence of God. There is good and there is evil.
