My aunt said that she felt a pressence in the room and very audible voice whisper in her ear. This has happened to her agian recently about 2-3 weeks ago. It was more of a message than an answer to a prayer. She was awake in her bed and she heard an audible voice tell that "she could be better than what she is now" then she heard the sound of a bell ringing and the pressence travel up and out through the ceiling. I almost always feel a pressence when I reply on message boards like this in fact It just happened this second and it feels good so I'm guessing its and angel. I have goose bumps, I'm tingeling all over and I fell what can only be described as a pressure? I don't know I just hope I don't see anything.

Quote# 18278

As a Christian (of sorts and kind of), I know it is harsh, uncivil, boorish and very unchristianlike not to wish someone a speedy recovery. Nevertheless ... he's a Democrat. Democrats are the most horrific enemies this Christian, conservative nation will ever face. They are committing crimes against humanity and the conservative peoples of the United States.

Democrats are sympathetic to Muslim terrorists who want to murder conservatives. They will dismantle the Patriot Act and Homeland Security in order to facilitate and encourage terrorist, Jihadist activities against white conservative America. Democrats, for the sake of harvesting votes, encourage the banding together of all minorities in a united effort to destroy the white conservative. Democrats praise African-American leaders who call for the extermination of the white race.

To me they are the same as an enemy soldier trying to kill me. No wait! Democrats are indescribably worse. The enemy soldier and I in Vietnam were only doing our duty. Democrats are cowardly, spiteful, racist, hateful, self-serving hypocrities. Not only do they want to kill me, but my children and grandchildren as well. Democrats are more dangerous than "radical" Muslims. "Radical" Muslims take great pride and delight in announcing they want to kill us. Democrats are too cowardly to admit they want to kill us. I have more respect for "radical" Muslims than Democrats.

Quote# 18280

Do atheists ever listen? No. They're too interested in criticizing and hating God to see what they've done to deserve punishment! And because they refuse to see their own sins, they call God a murderer. How convenient.

They always overlook the thousands of times that each one of them has: lied to their parents, friends, themselves, cursed God and their fellow man, murdered in their hearts, lusted after whatever aroused them, coveted their neighbor's: houses, cars, intelligence, wealth, status, etc., taken money they could have given to the poor, eaten food they could have given to the hungry, tried to convince people to seek everlasting death, reduced God's creation to an accident and the existence of man to the wombs of wild beasts, lived to serve themselves instead of God, denied their creator, and worst of all, claimed they are good people for all of the above and more! And because they don' see these wrongdoings and more, they continue them.

So until you can even begin to see your own sins, you'll never understand God's wrath or his love. So it does no good to complain about God because it won't take away your punishment, it will only ensure it just like a convicted criminal arguing with a judge. And even if a criminal can't admit his crimes, it does not exempt him from punishment but increases it because of his lack of remorse.

Quote# 18289

do athiests really believe?

God by the very nature of God exists. To disprove God, one must end communication, because the word God is the only proof that is logically necessary to argue for God's existence. The word is God and God is the word. So, by believing in disbelief they proove that they acknowledge language whis is logically proving that they, in fact, believe (all though they claim not to) in God.

The Georgia department of education today upheld a decision by the county board that would allow the wildly popular series by British author J.K. Rowling to remain in school libraries, Gwinnett school system spokesman Jorge Quintana said.

In October 2005, Laura Mallory, a mother with children at Gwinnett elementary schools, asked a local committee to ban the books about a young wizard, saying they were violent and promoted witchcraft.

The application was denied, so she appealed her case before different local and state officials.

"At all levels the decision has been to keep the books on the shelves," Mr Quintana said.

The state board decided the matter on a technicality, ruling that Gwinnett acted within its legal authority, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution website.

"I didn't do a good enough legal job because I didn't hire a lawyer," it quoted Ms Mallory as saying.

Quote# 18256

[On the question "Do souls or spirits exist?"]

I believe that souls exist. Sensory information may consist of nothing but chemical processes, but if there were no souls around to experience them, there would be no way to describe how they feel. In other words, without a soul, there would be no particular reason that the color red would be seen as red and not blue. Or for pain to be unpleasant instead of pleasant. Or even, for that matter, to be able to feel or think anything at all. I would say that soul is the only thing that distinguishes us from inanimate objects, but personally, I feel that even inanimate objects have soul and that in some way it might be possible after death to experience what it is like to be reincarnated as, for example, a rock, although it may not be all that terribly interesting to do so.

[Review of Bill O'Reilly's Culture Warrior]

Unlike liberals who use ghost writers, Bill O'Reilly is the real deal. This book exposes the ACLU, George Soros, the New York Times, and other anti-American liberal extremist organizations for what they are. Just read the reviews on this book, this book drives liberals up the wall -- and they haven't even read it!!

I have purchased nine copies of this book and I will be giving them away as Christmas presents. That's right liberals, I used the word "Christmas". I hope that offends you. Five stars for a great book from a great American.

It won't do any good. All of us know the little racist liberal quasi-Mexican Attorney General will ignore Rep. Jones' request for an investigation.

All the smug Nifong has to do is put a racially biased (OJ-type) jury together, which will be easy to do in predominantly black Durham, and he will convict those "privileged white boys." That's all he's waiting for.

Recently a pastor told about an airplane ride he took. As the plane was loading he took his seat next to the window. He looked over his shoulder to see a suspicious Mideastern man take a seat about two rows behind him. Just then an American man took the seat next to my pastor friend. The pastor said, “Excuse me. But I might need to get ou...” “Don’t worry, Buddy. I’ve got’im. If he makes a moves he’s one dead A-rab.” No, he wasn’t a Sky Marshal. He was an average American!

When people are attacked they go through three stages of emotions: shock, grief, then rage. After the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, America was shocked. Then we grieved as a nation. Then Admiral Bull Halsey best defined our national rage when he said, “When this war is over, the Japanese language will be spoken only in Hell.” (Imagine if someone said that about Muslims today!)

[Are you implying that no one ever gets abused, raped, harrassed or molested in church? A friend of mine was obediant to her parents, the churches rules and officials-to the point where she never cried out for help or told anyone for years after the fact. To say that anyone is ever truely safe blindly obeying those in power above them is fallacy, just thought i'd throw that thought out there. I get kinda agitated when someone mentions that "they woulda been safe in church."]

No, I am not saying that just being in church makes you safe. I think the Roman Church has fairly well proven that to be a fact. Don't get me wrong here - there are too many cases of abuse in IFB churches too. My point is that being in GOD's WILL brings the protection of the Lord. It does not mean that nothing will happen to try us, it only means that whatever happens will be under the control of the Lord. In this girl's case, I can say with certanity that if she would have stayed at church, as she was supposed to, she would not have been raped that night.

Quote# 18200

To support the Constitution of the United States one must uphold an underlying principle of that document, liberty of conscience, which is the right of every person to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience, without interference by the government. Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, in his "Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States" in 1833, observed concerning the First Amendment that "The rights of conscience are, indeed, beyond the just reach of any human power. They are given by God and cannot be encroached upon by human authority without a criminal disobedience of the precepts of natural, as well as revealed religion." ... It was a specific God who endowed us with a freedom of conscience with which government could not interfere.

...Our Constitution states, "Each House [of Congress] shall be the judge ... of the qualifications of its own members." Enough evidence exists for Congress to question Ellison's qualifications to be a member of Congress as well as his commitment to the Constitution in view of his apparent determination to embrace the Quran and an Islamic philosophy directly contrary to the principles of the Constitution. But common sense alone dictates that in the midst of a war with Islamic terrorists we should not place someone in a position of great power who shares their doctrine. In 1943, we would never have allowed a member of Congress to take their oath on "Mein Kampf," or someone in the 1950s to swear allegiance to the "Communist Manifesto." Congress has the authority and should act to prohibit Ellison from taking the congressional oath today!
