Quote# 32484

There's a site I go to often, just to get some of the stranger headlines of the day. It's called fark.com. Some of you may be familiar with the site. It's mostly inhabited with liberal atheists, agnostics, and outright Christian haters. Not much respect for Christians, God, Creation, or the Bible. The comments on many of the stories are enough to make you cry or rip your hair out sometimes, believe me.

Anyway, they have a "Video" page, where a variety of links to videos (mostly from YouTube) are posted. So someone posted one of the little rapture videos out there, showing how it could happen. It was clear the poster wanted people to make fun of it. Well, needless to say, nearly every comment on that video was mocking or downright insulting. A lot of "Jeebus" thrown about as well, mocking the very name of the Savior. I posted on there as 'scuffleball' (my account on the site) about how the Rapture was a real future event and I prayed they would wake up before it was too late.

I haven't gone back to read any responses (and don't think I will) because I can imagine the vitriol that would be waiting on me.

My experience is that many people now see our belief in the Rapture as some kind of "escapist" exercise, as if by being Christians we are not capable of dealing with the world and we are all, by default, stupid and simpletons. I truly feel sorry for these people.

I'll agree with you there. I was actually looking at posts on YouTube, searching under the title "rapture." A lot of good things came up, but there are plenty of posts from atheists who actually WANT the Christians to be raptured so the rest of the world can not be bothered by all of our "preaching and telling them how to live." I was floored! It also told me that they are not true atheists in that sense because they believe there will be a rapture, so there must be a God to rapture the church. They just want us beievers out of the way!

It might not have been the christian thing to run over that Wiccan symbol, but it was the right AMERICAN thing to do. This country was built by christian doctrine, the laws made in the image of christian law, and every major invention, leader, contribution to this country has been by a christian!

Hospitals, libarries, orphanages, homeless shelters, outreach programs, schools, universities, sports, techonology, factories, innovations, movies.........you name it, it was all brought to us by the christian establishment.
[More quotes from the thread about the wiccan display that was run over by a truck]

What did Wicca bring us? Moron? Athiesm? Catholics? Muslim? Budda? Hinda?

None of those brought any peace and prosparity to this great nation, so why do we feel the need to honor it on the FEDERAL holiday of CHRISTMAS!!

No, I don't cheer on lawbreaking since that isn't biblical, but that thing shouldn't have been up in the first place!!

Recall that there is good evidence that the speed of light itself is SLOWING. Yet another area of research where creationists are ahead!! (Barry Setterfield is one of the primary researchers in this area; he is a creationist.)

Fellow believers, in several areas of study we have been many years ahead of evolutionists on multiple occasions! They are mentally hobbled by their backwards theory.

The speed of light is not a constant! That is nonsense. It used to be believed; but the weight of good scientific research shows otherwise. The evolutionists and their hiding-from-God beliefs are holding us back - AGAIN!

Most people now-a-days pray for things like winning the war... Using prayer for murder is worse than being athiest. They also pray for selfish thigns like God can you give me more money, sex, and please don't let me get my gf pregnat. Kids on the other hand pray to the anti-christ (Santa Clause) in hopes that the anti-christ will ful-fill their selfish desires. Making your kids beleive in santa clasue might seem cute and fun but do you have any idea how disrespectful that is to jesus. Celebrating christmas would be like nailing jesus to the cross again year after year.

Quote# 32472

I am going to condense the Christmas story as we know it today in a very short article. Christmas has nothing to do with the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is a pagan date given as the birth of Jesus Christ by the Roman Catholic Church when they were in control of most of the known world. When the Protestants broke away from the Roman Catholic Church, they took a lot of the Roman traditions with them many years later, which is sad, super sad.

My wife was listening to a Calvary Chapel pastor talking about the Christmas season and he tried to explain how it is alright to make something that started out pagan and Christiianize it. Since as he also said that God looks on the heart. When a "Christian" minister can do that, it makes you wonder what the world has come to or at least it should. I thought that was a strange statement since God commands us not to practice the ways of the heathen. That is not even mentioning all of the other pagan things within the Christmas celebration such as Santa Claus, the elves, evergreen trees in the house, the mistletoe, etc. Even the word, "Christ-mas" isn't Christian. No true Christian celebrates literally eating God, the largest false religion in the world does though, the Roman Catholic Church, and they took that doctrine from paganism as well as many other doctrines that they have today.

2 months ago we made a radical shift in this blog. Up until that time pretty much anyone could respectfully address the creation-evolution issue, Bible controversies, etc. But we finally decided that an orientation of “Since the Bible is true…” is more positive.

One can answer skeptics over and over and over, and still they will look for mental hiding places from God. Just as a thief just can’t seem to find a police officer no matter how hard he tries, the unrepentant sinner just can’t seem to find God no matter how hard he tries.

I have been warning people for years that this New Age - Alien agenda is wicked, evil, and while they preach love, light, and tolerance they are the complete opposite. They are evil, hateful, obnoxious and short tempered with anyone who disagrees with them.

I hope those who have fallen for the lies of these "Ascended Masters of Disaster" see them for what and who they really are before it's to late and they damn their own souls for joining the 'kingdom' these evil freaks intend on building on earth. When you join their 'kingdom' by taking their mark, number or symbol signifiying loyalty to this new global government it will damn your soul for eternity. By joining with 'them' you are literally joining with Satan, their boss. They won't tell you who their boss is...they lie to everyone.

And that's why they hate those who expose them for who and what they are. Because they know we speak the truth.

To do research, creationists need funds. But all the funds go to those who believe in Evolutionism, the carefully protected, useless and and literally baseless religion. Yes, baseless, because you remember how it all “started”? Nothing exploded. And nothing “really means nothing”. No time, no space, no matter, no natural laws. Yeah, right. When SOMETHING explodes that SOMETHING is destroyed, and its environment also gets damaged. But that is nothing compared to what happens, when ABSOLUTE NOTHING explodes! When NOTHING (NO TIME, NO SPACE, NO MATTER, NO NATURAL LAWS) explodes, an incredibly complex universe forms itself. Of course. Easy as pie. The greatest mystery of all time, the origin of the universe is now solved, and all is well with the world. And where is the evidence? Anyone got a sample of ABSOLUTE NOTHING? Can I put it under a microscope? Because I sure am interested in what is in NOTHING!

No way, I'm only voting for a candidate that stands for a return to christian values - no abortion ever, return to prayer in schools (not MORMON prayers either), religious freedoms for christians again, etc. Personally, I think everyone should be required to join a church, but people think I'm old fashion when I say that.

There is no proof for the nothing exploded into something for no reason, and here we are now “masters of the universe”. You guys used to think the universe has always existed. No beginning, no end. The Bible has always said that there was a beginning. “In the beginning God…”. Then redshift came along and you changed your mind. So now you think the universe had a beginning. Big Bang. But you are still not better off, because stellar evolution just does not work. Chemical evolution does not work either. Shall I continue? Why should I? If you have no universe and no chemical building blocks to work with, you are not going to get anywhere. You have nothing.

Quote# 32451

(I suggest you read the whole thing)

"If anybody wants to believe that they are the descendants of a primate, they are certainly welcome to do it."

...

"If you're with Jesus Christ, we know how it turns out in the final moment," he said. "I've read the last chapter in the book, and we do end up winning."

..."When I press him on whether he believes all non-Christians are eternally damned, Huckabee is evasive. "Being president isn't about picking who goes to heaven and who goes to hell," he says. When none other than Bill O'Reilly hammered him on the same point a day later, Huckabee conceded that "I believe Jesus is the way to heaven."

...One of his first acts as governor was to block Medicaid from funding an abortion for a mentally retarded teenager who had been raped by her stepfather — an act in direct violation of federal law, which requires states to pay for abortions in cases of rape. "The state didn't fund a single such abortion while Huckabee was governor," says Dr. William Harrison of the Fayetteville Women's Clinic. "Zero."

..."Science changes with every generation and with new discoveries, and God doesn't," he says. "So I'll stick with God if the two are in conflict."

...At one appearance, Huckabee — who's been known to make fart jokes in front of the state legislature — said he would oppose gay marriage "until Moses comes down with two stone tablets from Brokeback Mountain saying he's changed the rules." And he recently scored a rare offend trifecta, simultaneously pissing off immigrants, Jews and the pro-choice crowd when he ludicrously claimed that a "holocaust" of abortions had artificially created a demand for Mexican labor.

Sometimes a friendly debate on a subject can be beneficial. However, I do not feel that it is right for me to debate or speak on doctrinal subjects with a man. So if I get any comments from someone I know is a man, I will most likely not respond. I will also not be reading blogs written by men anymore unless my husband has seen it and approved. My husband is my spiritual leader, not any other man with the exception of my pastor who is also a spiritual leader but is not the head of my household. Nothing that I write is intended for men, or to teach a man, for that would be wrong.

I've been force-fed Roman catholicism since the day I was born. The only thing that saved me was that I started reading The Word on my own and developed a brain. They seem to frown on that.......the developing a brain part. I have also had experiances where they are offended when called Christian. Go figure.....? I suppose they know that there is no "Christ" in the word catholic.

IMO, their conversion goes like this..... Muslim-scare Christian into hating the Jew. Christian won't pray for Israel. RCC takes over. That's just my Op.

Quote# 32447

The First amendment (or any other constitutional provision) must be strictly construed to reflect the intent of the Founding Fathers. The language is clear- Congress simply is prohibited from passing laws establishing religion or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. There certainly is no mention of any "separation of church and state", although Supreme Court jurisprudence over the decades constantly asserts this mystical doctrine. Sadly, the application of this faulty doctrine by judges and lawmakers consistently results in violations of the free exercise clause. Rulings and laws separating citizens from their religious beliefs in all public settings simply restrict religious practices. Our Founders clearly never intended an America where citizens nonsensically are forced to disregard their deeply held beliefs in public life. The religious freedom required by the Constitution should not end the moment one enters a school, courtroom, or city hall.

Moreover, there is ample evidence that most of our Founders were deeply religious men who never imagined a rigid separation between religious beliefs and governance. Indeed, our national documents, symbols, currency, and buildings are replete with religious symbolism. Our national motto, "In God We Trust," is an obvious example. These symbols are entirely inconsistent with the religion-free government supposedly mandated by the First amendment.

This is my kind of subject.. You will all know what hell is in about 10 years.. Quote the good ol’ JT on that one.. Some Muslims believe it is temporary.. I do not.. Hell is where your flesh will regenerate and continue to burn at the same time.. And it is not God who will put you there.. It is souls who carry no faith who will put themselves there.. God will simply look the other direction as the infidels have done to him for so many years.. Take heed of my warning..

Quote# 32464

7. We believe that there are two biblically prescribed punishments enforceable by the state: execution and restitution. We do not believe in jail sentences. We believe in only the biblically prescribed punishments for violations of the moral law.

We do not believe that the state is the final arbiter in all matters pertaining to the moral law. Most of these cases would be resolved within families or within churches. However, only the state may execute criminals for capital crimes; only the state "bears the sword" (see Romans 13).

8. We want civil government to punish evil doers according to biblical sanctions. We want all moral laws of the Old Testament to be enforced according to biblical standards.

Some may object: Isn't this harsh? Isn't this barbaric? No, in fact it will lead to greater liberty for the godly. We want the ungodly punished according to God's Law-Word because it is what God prescribes. We have been conditioned according to a humanistic worldview to reject Old Testament law as "barbaric" or "outdated." God's law is not harsh, barbaric nor antiquated, because God is neither harsh, barbaric nor antiquated!

Death can be painful and awful. I don't want to leave my children behind to be raised without me. Plus, death is so......ordinary. It has happened to countless people since the beginning of time.

The rapture on the other hand most likely won't hurt and will probably be the most awsome sensation we have ever known. Also, I can take my children with me and only a select few in the whole history of the earth will experiance it. I want to be a part of that.

[This ENTIRE thread is an overload of stupid!]

What is evolution? It's a religious cult. The same religion that fueled the Panet of the Apes type fantasy. Evos are hopeful that this "scientific" process will eventually take place, making chimps grow smarter to eventually use as servants.

The biggest problem I have with their religion is that this process would take a very, very long time to take place. Probably millions. Life would have no time for this, as existence has been here for roughly 6,000 years (give or take a few). It simply could not have happened.
