Quote# 24169

I believe Mental Illness and Demonic Possession can be one and the same, especially when dealing with sociopathy, narcism, schizophrenia, multiple personalities, etc. It is sad when such severe issues are dealt with in fleshly ways such as psych wards, and prescription drugs (did you know that the word "pharmacy" comes from the greek word "pharmacia", which means "witchcraft"?), they will either just put a bandage on a much deeper rooted problem, or make it worse (mainly in the case of prescription anti-depressants, which have been known to cause thoughts of suicide). The best solution, I believe, is The Deliverer, Jesus Christ, to come and remove those wicked spirits from the mind, and allow the Holy Spirit to come and give them a peace that passes all understanding.

Now, I know I may seem extremely controversial here, maybe even insensitive, but I do not believe that every victim of this massacre is in Heaven. That is for God to decide, depending on which ones were living for Jesus Christ, and not for themselves. I still pray that this tragedy will bring us closer to Jesus, like 9/11 did, and show us that at any place, any time, our lives could be taken from us, and that eternity is only a gunshot wound away.

Christ's Servant, you seem to be saying that we need to let the secular government let these people have their rights. But see, God never designed for there to be a secular government. THe government is supposed to be under the authority of God, and therefore what God says should go. And because God says that sodomy is wrong, the government should not allow it to happen

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Vatican's second-highest ranking doctrinal official on Monday forcefully branded homosexual marriage an evil and denounced abortion and euthanasia as forms of "terrorism with a human face".

The attack by Archbishop Angelo Amato, secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was the latest in a string of speeches made by either Pope Benedict or other Vatican officials as Italy considers giving more rights to gays.

In an address to chaplains, Amato said newspapers and television bulletins often seemed like "a perverse film about evil". He denounced "evils that remain almost invisible" because the media presented them as "expression of human progress".

He listed these as abortion clinics, which he called "slaughterhouses of human beings", euthanasia, and "parliaments of so-called civilized nations where laws contrary to the nature of the human being are being promulgated, such as the approval of marriage between people of the same sex ..."

Amato spoke at a time when the Vatican and Italy's powerful Roman Catholic Church are at loggerheads over plans for a highly controversial law that would give unmarried heterosexual and homosexual couples some form of legal recognition.

The Church and Catholic politicians, even some in Prime Minister Romano Prodi's centre-left coalition, see the proposed law as a Trojan Horse and say it could lead to gay marriages.

Amato, who is said to be very close to Pope Benedict, criticized the media's coverage of ethical issues.

Coming from One who supports the wholesale slaughter of her kind. Hmmm who is more stupid? Me for mispelling one word? Or you, responsible for the whole slaughter of innocent baby girls. Hmmm I wonder who will history remember. Little ole me who mispelled one itty bitty word or a baby killer like you?

[From the review of Erin Brockovich]

Along the way, Brockovich gets tangled up with a Harley biker, George (Aaron Eckhart) who turns out to be a great pretend dad for the kids but also a source of immoral sex [1Cor. 6:18-20]. I wonder how accurate this portrayal of a courageous woman was and how much new age ignominy was added. And I wonder if the role reversal was true -- the role which gives the "husband" the final authority in family matters. Note that since Erin and George were not married (not husband and wife) and since he had no dominion over the kids other than that which she gives him, she fully had the authority in her home to assume any role over George. When Brockovich achieved the chief bread winner of the Erin/George pair, she finds herself saying the things you usually hear [what the movies have] the man saying: "I have a career that takes all my time. You [the man] will have to watch the kids while I'm gone." It is when a man and a woman become married that Gen. 3:16 and Ep. 5:23 apply. The husband is head of the wife/family as Christ is head of the church, NOT the head of women. In NO case is the husband the dictator and in every case the husband is responsible for the wife (and family) just as Adam was responsible for Eve in the Garden of Eden -- when God came for an accounting of their sins, He did not call for Eve [Gen.3:9].

One needs to evaluate the scientific evidence with the bible in one hand, the text book in the other.

Axiom: The Bible is true

Therefore: Scientific evidence that is accurate will conform to the Bible

Therefore: our scientific research needs to ocus on theories that reconcile the observed evidence with Biblical teaching.

No conflict required

I see being gay as being just as wrong and unnatural as bestiality. In neither case is the correct hardware being used for the job.

In fact it makes more sense for a man to have sex with a female dog than with another man. At least he would get the gender correct.

I have compassion... but I don't claim to have more compassion than God.

If God condemns a sinner to Hell, if anything man's ultimate punishment, execution, is STILL pretty merciful in comparison.

What are you saying, we should try to be more merciful than God?

The Iranian Supreme Court has vacated the murder convictions of a group of serial killers because their victims were engaging in un-Islamic activities, the British Broadcasting Corp. reports.

The men were convicted for a series of grisly killings in the southeastern city of Kerman in 2002. The vigilantes were said to believe that Islam condoned the killing of anyone engaged in illicit activities if they issued two warnings to the victims, the BBC reports.....

...I will tell you what is better. It would be better to have saved the gunman earlier and to have had no one die. Death is nothing if you have eternal life, and life is nothing if you're already dead. But when a person starts killing people... Load the handguns with rubber bullets. Just don't shoot him in the eye. Or, just have faith and tell the gun to stop working. Not trying to be funny at all, I am completely serious.

[About public reactions to the partial-birth abortion ban that was recently confirmed by the SCOTUS]

One woman was “sickened” (sickened!) by the ruling. Shannon Riggs from Salem regurgitated the usual irrelevant talking points about how by not allowing women to kill their babies about to be born inside of the womb we are making women “second-class citizens.” These people make it sound as if we are condemning women to stay in the kitchen or something—which is silly, because how could she possibly give birth in a kitchen? We’re not stupid!

What I heard is *not* that he was such a passivist, but a sympathizer of the Muslim infidels. If he was so interested in peace-- why wasn't he over there in Afghanistan and Iraq shaking hands and kissing babies?? Could it be he was afraid he might come home without an arm?

Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about concerning what "Rapture-loving creeps" hope to do on a global scale, as well as what the Bible tells us is going to occur in the prophetic future.

Upon Christ's return at the Battle of Armageddon, there will be no islands for you and your friends to hide on nor will everyone on the face of the earth be killed as a result of the Battle of Armageddon.

You're just repeating what you've heard told to you by others. If you want to UNDERSTAND the Word of God, you're going to have to READ it for yourself - and give the Lord a chance.
