[Can't myspace, movies, grocery stores that sell alcohol, etc all be important too? (Responding to the 'evils of the internet')]

Grocery stores are necessary. If there were a grocery store that did not sell alcohol, we'd use it.

There is absolutely no need for someone to go to myspace and there is no need for someone to go into a movie theater.

I know what your saying, and most of those Old time Assemblians were good folks, makes you wonder why the twist. Here we had a Christian school teacher (in a Christian school), her and her husband were sold on Bill Clinton, voted for him twice. All of their children are a wreck on society, they are in church every Sunday and Wednesday. When I found out they were voting for Clinton I pulled my boys out of the school and started Homeschooling.

Let me assure you friend... Creation IS Not false...

Didnt you know it was by chance that the sun knows when to rise and set each day? How the tide knows when to come in and go out.
When you see the magnificents of a sky filled with purples, reds, blues, it doesnt speak of the creative beauty of God, but chance. Or how when the right mix of God's atmosphere comes together we get the Northern lights.
The intricate designs of a snowflake.

I think we should elect leaders who are Bible-believing Christians and have the power to initiate nuclear conflict. Armageddon is not a subjective belief, the Bible is clear on this. Billions will be exterminated, yes, but there is an eternal life after this one. Where you spend this eternity depends on your trust in Jesus, though.

As for being elected president I would try to rehabilitate the homosexuals in a correctional facility. If they refuse and or continue to do what they're doing then I can't do anythign but give them the punishment written for them in Islam.

[In a discussion of a felony assault trial in which an atheist defender was acquitted, and where Christian plaintiff and witnesses were accused of lying under oath]

I think it should be taken into account that atheists having no fear of holy retribution probably lied under oath. While the Christians who fear God probably told the truth.

I also thing you misunderstood separation between church and state. If the very mention of God was wrong then why is God the Author of the Constitution?

[A dozen or so posts to the tune of "No, he isn't"]

You are ignorant of this. Not me. The Author of the constitution of the United states of America, the Author, why do you think Author is capitalized? It is a pronoun. Who do you think the Author according to our founders was? You are so wrong about this. Look it up.

(In response to:How can you have freewill if God is omniscient? )

God knows that he is perfect and that his prediction will be correct so he does know 100% what you're going to do.

You are still making choices, God just knows what choices you're going to make before you make them. You could choose something different, but you're not going to.

I know my above analogy sucked, but I know if I ever had to make that decision I'd take the $100. The fact that i'm making a decision doesn't change that.

F.Y.I. The reason why a lot of Jews and Christians don't follow Islam is because either they hate Muslims simply because we have a different belief system, or, they know that our belief system is the true belief system and don't want to admit the fact that they've been living a lie. That was more along the lines of most Christians though, because most Jews know the deal and choose to ignore it, which is way worse.

Christians in north-west Pakistan are demanding government protection following threats of bomb attacks if they do not become Muslims.
An unsigned letter received 10 days ago said they had to convert by Thursday.

Militants have been carrying out a sustained campaign to prevent "anti-Islamic" activities in North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

Last week they blew up a number of music and video shops in the towns of Charsadda and Tangi.

The Christian community, a tiny minority, received an anonymous letter demanding they convert or face the consequences.

Quote# 25409

(About the Bible)

It requires intelligence to understand it. What it teaches is both profound and timeless, and above all it is the truth. The intelligent man will read it and reflect on their own experience to assess whether it holds truth or falsehood. The fool will just discard it without attempting to understand. However the challenge is greater these days because we are under bombardment by evil, which cannot survive people knowing the truth.

If you look at the way the system works it tries to make us reject it because this act depowers us. The immoral person is one who is compromised and powerless and the evil of the system can only exist by it bringing everyone down to its level. Once you are open to temptation you are also open to bribery, blackmail and so on. This is how our government operates and the Bible does hold the key to how humanity could regain its power. For example if everyone had a high moral standard and could regulate their own actions a government becomes redundant!

Indeed. You need to look a bit closer at the Egyptian society to understand how evil they really were. Same goes for the other major heathens, the Romans. Also lets look at the ancient Chinese and things like the Great Wall of China.

(you've missed a few;
the crusades; the inquisition; the spanish conquistadors; the witch trials; etc etc all backed up by your "good book")

Again, you should look closer at your history. The crusades were the work of the Knights Templar. The Spanish inquisition had the knights of Malta dabbling in the Spanish affairs and so on.

As for Wikipedia does anyone see why it is called what it is called? Wicca, Wicked etc..

(priceless
the crusades were driven by the church and were composed of just about every fortune seeker you can imagine.
In fact the templars were eventually to suffer under both the albigensian crusade and the inquisition
me thinks it is you that needs to brush up your history)

The Bible has something to say about that sort of thing as well. The devil disguises himself with all manner of things. One of the oldest tricks in the book I imagine and naturally you are falling for it.

Here's a theory to believe in God

Go find urself a ghost to find and scare urself half to death and come back and tell me if u understand this world. I'll bet you that u do not understand this world once you see a ghost...not just some wussy ghost like an orb or a cold spot, I mean an apparition or actually see a dark figure walking around that just came out of nowhere and bellows at you. Then start praying to whoever you want but dont pray to God to see what happens. No really go and do that...i hear England and all over Europe there are dozens of haunted places where u get so scared you piss urself.

(Coulter's tribute to Jerry Falwell)

No man in the last century better illustrated Jesus' warning that "All men will hate you because of me" than the Rev. Jerry Falwell, who left this world on Tuesday. Separately, no man better illustrates my warning that it doesn't pay to be nice to liberals.

Falwell was a perfected Christian. He exuded Christian love for all men, hating sin while loving sinners. This is as opposed to liberals, who just love sinners. Like Christ ministering to prostitutes, Falwell regularly left the safe confines of his church to show up in such benighted venues as CNN.

He was such a good Christian that back when we used to be on TV together during Clinton's impeachment, I sometimes wanted to say to him, "Step aside, reverend -- let the mean girl handle this one." (Why, that guy probably prayed for Clinton!)

For putting Christ above everything -- even the opportunity to make a humiliating joke about Clinton -- Falwell is known as "controversial." Nothing is ever as "controversial" as yammering about Scripture as if, you know, it's the word of God or something.

Days away from her seventh birthday, a little girl named Emma Rose is currently trapped in Georgia’s foster care system, unable to reunite with the woman who has been her mother for almost a year — all because the mother is a lesbian.

The prospective adoptive mother, Elizabeth Hadaway, was also sentenced to 10 days in jail earlier this month by a Wilkinson County Superior Court judge who refused to grant the adoption in part because “the child will have a long-term exposure to the homosexual parent’s lifestyle.”

(By destroying these social barriers that create hate, discrimination, and violence we help make the world a more peaceful place)

I argue that legalization would promote hate, discrimination, and violence against homosexuals. There would be lynch mobs if such a thing were legalized.

(You would preach intolerance of a group of people and how they wish to live and believe that this helps society when history has shown the opposite.)

History has shown that homosexuality destroys civilizations, such as ancient Greece and Rome. The Netherlands and Scandinavia are also starting to feel the negative affects of promoting same-sex marriage and homosexual.

(about finding some spell cards under her son's bed)

"......were some spell cards. Among them were Magician of Faith (not Christian faith) who is a spell caster, Spell purification and other spell cards (as they are called) that promote ideas such as summoning beings up from the grave etc. I guess they are from Yu Gi Oh cartoons or something.

Personally I'm strongly against my seven year old son having any type of thing like this in his possession and we've talked extensively about the dangers of dabbling in magic. He's fully aware that I don't even want him to watch the cartoons, or read those types of books or have these kinds of cards. He's brought a couple books home that actually have spell enchantments in them (I should add that he reads at a strong 3rd grade level so he has access to books that I do not want him to be reading.) And he knows that I don't want him to watch Harry Potter. As a parent that's what I've decided is best for my son.

Now, we do have many other movies we watch and I also have a Christian version of those kinds of cards which advocate Godly values instead of satanic ideas. So, he's not without entertainment or lack of interesting things to do.

Today, when he came home from school and said that he had a secret that he was hiding underneath his bed and that I shouldn't look. You know, I wasn't going to do that, I was going to trust him.......but something pressed me that I should look and sure enough he has these cards that he knows full well he shouldn't.

I've left them there and will give him a chance to fess up on his own. I plan to ask him about his secret and if it's something that I or God would want him to have. I'm hoping that he will really come to the right conclusion.....he's such a good sensitive little kid and probably is really curious about these things....but he's doing something I've made clear that is not acceptable.

Do you gals have any thoughts on how to handle this? I don't want to push him away, but I'm sure that I don't want him to get away with this either."
