I believe God has greatly blessed this country because of those people who took Him seriously....

If you read the Bible, you will find many of the people would not listen to God's prophets and preachers. In fact they killed many of them. Notice what happened to those nations that did not turn from their sins – God destroyed them. Things haven't changed today; many people are still not listening to God's scriptural preachers.

If America continues to go down the liberal road it is going, it will end up being the doom of this country. I believe the only hope for America is that we go back to our conservative roots and seriously seek the God of the Bible.

Let me put it another way. Numbers are symbolic; now, pi is so long that the area it takes up is greater than any circle you could hope to symbolize the circumference to diameter ratio of. How can a symbol be considered symbolic if it is greater than that which it represents?

I read with interest the Daily Herald's recent article about the local man who deals in fossils. The part that caught my eye was the paragraph about the site near Mosinee, about which at least 10 professional papers have been written.

Let me add some information from another professional paper. According to a little known expert, Professor God, these fossils were all made during the universal flood which happened about 6,000 years ago in Noah's day. The flood occurred because of man's sin. He also said that he personally made the earth and all living things in six days. He laughs when the subject of missing links is brought up. He says he didn't use them so they won't find them. He says that man and dinosaurs lived at the same time.

Interesting guy, this Professor God. He wrote a lot of what he knows in a book called the Bible. It's really hard to argue with him about things, because he keeps saying, "Were you there when all of this happened? I was."

And to date, no man has proven his book wrong. He hasn't had it peer reviewed, because he has no peers.

I'd vote against gay marriage for these reasons:

(1) It's a mild mental illness or a glandular problem or temporary/experimental behavior. We shouldn't be forced by Big Brother to pretend it's normal.

(2) Gay marriage is about money. If gay activists can establish homosexuality as a minority, instead of as a behavior, then homos can claim legal protection as a minority with a history of discrimination.

(3) It serves no purpose. Homos can do anything with a few pieces of paper that they could do with a marriage certificate -except Social Security. And I believe Social Security shouldn't exist anyway.

So, it's not about hate, or Christian fundamentalism or anything like that. It's about a firm grip on reality.

There is way too much emphasis on what the Bible means to me or you, personally. I don't read it to hear what I want to hear; I read it to hear what God has to say. So I'm not interested in sugar coating the truth. I am not interested in flat out ignoring verses in the Bible because I've found some personal reason to think that I should.

I've been pointing out what I see as obvious contradictions. Even if I marry one day and find the idea of submitting to another human being absolutely insufferable, that DOES NOT give me the freedom to reinterpret the Bible in some other way. It doesn't matter what I personally think God should have to say on the matter of a woman's place in the world. It only matters what God actually says about it.

When God says He created man and he became a living soul when God breathed life into him, and that He then put this man to sleep and created a woman from his rib, and then someone here goes on to say "well maybe what God really did was create man through evolution", then we have a serious problem. If you don't believe the whole Bible, you're just picking and choosing what you want to believe, making up your own religion as you go.

Because God never said that he was going to increase the pain of dental work as punishment for disobeying Him. He did say, however, that He would increase the pain of childbirth as punishment. That's the difference.

Its like being grounded by your parents, and then sneaking out the window. This is obviously defying them by skirting their punishment.
