Most churches today are basically government opperations, allowed to opperate according to the “rules” of the government. Most preachers today not only have licenses to preach but they conduct marriages under the authority of the state, instead of traditional covenant marriages. We are increasingly living in not just a socialist, but a communist society where the government owns everything, and one must get permission to live, work, travel and freely conduct public affairs of business. Dr. Hovind is being persecuted in the Unites States of America and is a litmus test for the Christians out there — Watch out, They’re coming for you next; unless, of course you conform to a state church system, fully approved and answereable to the government. Whatever happened to the separation of Church and State?

You don’t have to be sacrificing virgins or turning crosses upside down to be a satanist! All you have to do is spurn Jesus Christ and you are a satanist! If you remember nothing else from this book, remember this:

ALL pagan religions are controlled by Satan!

It doesn’t matter if you worship Pan or Krishna or Diana or Thor; the face behind the mask of your god is Satan’s. Even if you are a purported atheist, you are still worshiping Satan; for you have undoubtedly made one element your idol (the center of your life): whether it’s power, money, knowledge, freedom or some other ideal.

Although these do point out flawed arguments they make it seem like all arguments against gay marriage are retarded. And they're not. There are a logical arguments, such as the fact that the divorce rate among gay couples is 100%.
[in response to a gay marriage argument]

Number 6 is particularly retarded: our country has a very low population growth, so it wouldn't hurt to have an average of 2 kids per woman. Also the problem with orphanages is partially the parents' fault for not planning children instead of getting teen pregnant and having to give the child away. (There's orphans who have dead parents, and I feel bad for them, but then there's orphans with idiotic 16-year-old parents.)

A woman for president is a bad idea. Hillary for president is even worse. Do you think America never had a woman for president by coincidence?

[You can transfer that logic to black people, seeing as there's been no black presidents - Anyway it's incredibly insensitive, stupid and unbased.]

As stupid as you think it sounds I totally agree. Blacks should not ever be in positions of power. They should be suppressed back in to slavery.

[In a thread about the Texas church that cancelled the funeral of a Navy veteran after they found out via his obituary that his life partner was also a male...]

10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt loses it's saltiness, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

As you can see, we receive a "Blessing" when we are persecuted

I judge no one, that's not my job, but I will not, under any circumstances condone or excuse blatant sin. If I don't see it or know about it, then it's between them and God.

I'm probably going to sound like a fundy, but it just dawned on me that Satan may be actively working to make Christianity look stupid in my eyes. I can't put my finger on it, but I seem to be bombarded with the impression that the faith is moronic and ill-founded, and that Christians are misguided in their thinking. I must steel myself and be more aware of this growing impression in my mind, which is from the devil.

The TEACHERS of evolution (unwittingly, at least usually) encourage dishonesty, murder, rape, stealing, etc. Beliefs lead to actions. If one believes that “God does not see” their actions - this encourages some behaviors over others. Honesty is definitely NOT encouraged when one ascribes to evolutionary beliefs. Evolution also teaches the opposite of “Honor your Father and your Mother” (Fifth Commandment) when it implies/teaches that the future is in the offspring, so that one should concentrate on the children. Evolution teaches values.

was recently criticized for making a statement about my daughter not being able to play a war game on the Wii because she was a girl. Besides being too young to play it, it is true that I won't let her play it because she is a girl. And no, I don't think she should not learn math, either. I want my boys and girls (I have 2 each) to grow up being boys and girls. I don't want them growing up confused as to what their roles are in life. I want my girls to grow up with a desire to take care of their kids at home. Even homeschool. I want my boys to grow up learning what it means to lead, how to lead, and how to do it in a Godly way. I want my girls to learn how to follow their husbands leadership. I want them to learn that submitting to their husband does not make them a door mat. That it's as God wants it, and that they will have a more fulfilling life by doing what God has said.

Christians do FAR more good for suffering people in the world han atheists will ever even think of doing, even at the cost of their own lives. All atheists care about is their selfish interests and desires.

Most of the concern about what is going on in Darfur is by christian organizations. What are atheists doing? They basically ignore it and go on with what they love to do: attacking christians, slandering Jesus and all the other worldly and immoral activities they love to do. You guys care more about animals than you do about human beings, specifically the black people suffering from genocide in Africa.

By the way, the title of this page is complete HORSECRAP. It just further proves that most of you atheists are pathological liars.

How does NOT believing in God and not being religious make someone "likely to care for the poor"??? Isn't it far more likely that people who have a faith that SPECIFICALLY teaches love for others and care for the poor will do just that? You atheists are so full of crap.

And, concerning that woman's video on youtube. The fact that you atheists could watch that video and none of what she said entered your thick heads, and some of you can use demeaning adjectives against it such as "trainwreck". It shows that your hearts really are evil and what she said was basically true. You guys and satanists have a lot in common: self-worship, arrogance, refusal to ever listen, habitual lying, selfishness and immorality.

Like I said, the title of this page is such a lie on so many levels. Even if you met a "religious" doctor who refused to care for the poor, then that doctor is obviously really an atheist who doesn't really believe in his religion but just pretends to. What the hell has not being religious or not believing in God got ANYTHING to do with being good? Criminals, pornographers and all sorts of bad people in the world are obviously FAR more likely to be atheists than christians. Unless it is a religion that specifically encourages immorality, like Islam or Satanism, which you atheists have no problem with, like that godly woman pointed out. You guys are the embodiment of immorality, deafness, stubborness and selfishness.

(In other news, Rick Romero reveals that a surprisingly large percentage of FSTDT users aren't atheists. Film at eleven!)

"We already know that E=mc2 is wrong because it contradicts Newton's law of gravity. E=mc2 says nothing is faster than the speed of light....yet as we know, this is not correct. Gravity is instantaneous, thus faster than the speed of light. If the earth were to move, for example, the moon would somehow "know" it and move right along with it. Same with the sun...if the sun were to move, the planets would follow the sun around, all without ropes.

Scientists have long known that Einstein's theory contradicted Newton's law of gravity, but it's just one of those things they try to keep hush about and sweep under the carpet like it doesn't exist.

So if E=mc2 is wrong, which it is, then we can pretty much be assured that astronomers and cosmologists are not to be trusted because they simply do not know what they're talking about."

"We have not only a Hindu prayer being offered in the Senate, we have a Muslim member of the House of Representatives now, Keith Ellison from Minnesota. Those are changes -- and they are not what was envisioned by the Founding Fathers," asserts Sali.

Sali says America was built on Christian principles that were derived from scripture. He also says the only way the United States has been allowed to exist in a world that is so hostile to Christian principles is through "the protective hand of God."

"You know, the Lord can cause the rain to fall on the just and the unjust alike," says the Idaho Republican.

According to Congressman Sali, the only way the U.S. can continue to survive is under that protective hand of God. He states when a Hindu prayer is offered, "that's a different god" and that it "creates problems for the longevity of this country."

Quote# 28195

According to the Bible's account of Creation, God did not create man and woman as infants and wait for them to grow up. God did not create the first plants and animals in early stages and wait for them to mature. Why should cosmic rays have been any different? For God to have waited billions of years for cosmic rays to reach their intended destinations would have been inconsistent with the rest of Creation. Thus, for cosmic rays to have been created in a "state of arrival" should not seem that far-fetched.

Besides, can you imagine God creating an entire universe in six days and then waiting billions of years just for cosmic rays to fly across the universe? Sounds a little absurd.

Of course, when considering an act of Creation of an entire universe, there is another possibility. During the Six Days of Creation all the laws of nature, as we know them, were obviously not yet in place. The fact that light travels at the speed of light is only a law of nature in our completed universe. It is quite conceivable that before all the laws of nature were put into place light travelled at a far greater speed than it does in today's universe. Consequently, a distance which may take many light-years for light to traverse today may have taken only seconds during Creation. Was this really that complicated for this scientist to figure out?

[He goes on for six pages, denying the Big Bang, black holes, antimatter, and insinuating a global scientific conspiracy]

In real life, Harun Yahya is a 51-year-old former interior-design student named Adnan Oktar. Since founding the BAV in 1990, Mr. Oktar has been responsible for ushering more than 250 books into print, though many observers agree he serves more as the chief overseer of a group of writers rather than as a solo author. The series includes titles such as "The Dark Spell of Darwinism" and "Why Darwinism is Incompatible with the Koran."

Oktar's brand of creationism is not only religious, but also political and even messianic, seeing most of the world's ills – terrorism and fascism among them – as stemming from Darwin's theory of evolution.

"Hitler, Mao, and Lenin were Darwinists. At the root of wild capitalism is also Darwinism. I think if we no longer believe in Darwinism, people will no longer be conditioned to believe in those things," the normally reclusive Oktar said during a recent press conference, held aboard a hired yacht cruising Istanbul's Bosphorus strait.

"Folks, there is no such thing as what you call evolution. If there was, it would be in the Holy Bible or the Koran," added Oktar, dressed in an ivory-white raw silk suit and wearing gold cufflinks and a matching gold belt buckle with Arabic inscriptions on them.

"The sweet dream of the Darwinists and the world is to ban my books," Oktar said, sipping glass after glass of sour cherry juice. "What I'm saying is true. They cannot disprove it."

Unlike fundamentalist Christian creationists, Oktar does not claim the earth was created only a few thousand years ago. Instead, he argues that fossils show that creatures from millions of years ago looked just like the creatures of today, thus disproving evolution

A megachurch canceled a memorial service for a Navy veteran 24 hours before it was to start because the deceased was gay.

Officials at the nondenominational High Point Church knew that Cecil Howard Sinclair was gay when they offered to host his service, said his sister, Kathleen Wright. But after his obituary listed his life partner as one of his survivors, she said, it was called off.

[snip]

The church's pastor, the Rev. Gary Simons, said no one knew Sinclair, who was not a church member, was gay until the day before the Thursday service, when staff members putting together his video tribute saw pictures of men "engaging in clear affection, kissing and embracing."

Simons said the church believes homosexuality is a sin, and it would have appeared to endorse that lifestyle if the service had been held there.

"We did decline to host the service — not based on hatred, not based on discrimination, but based on principle," Simons told The Associated Press. "Had we known it on the day they first spoke about it — yes, we would have declined then. It's not that we didn't love the family."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary offers coursework in Greek and Hebrew, in archaeology, in the philosophy of religion and -- starting this fall -- in how to cook and sew.

Southwestern Baptist, one of the nation's largest Southern Baptist seminaries, is introducing a new academic program in homemaking as part of an effort to establish what its president calls biblical family and gender roles.

It will offer a bachelor of arts in humanities degree with a 23-hour concentration in homemaking. The program is only open to women.

Coursework will include seven hours of nutrition and meal preparation, seven hours of textile design and "clothing construction," three hours of general homemaking, three hours on "the value of a child," and three hours on the "biblical model for the home and family."

LA is burning confinscated firearms to make concrete. I heard this on Jon Caldera, and I called in. Even though the firearms were illegal, and needed a lisence to get them, they could've still been used to sell to legal gun owners. I thought that this was a pure waste of firearms, when I heard the story, I almost cried , firearms are God's gift to the planet.
So, what do you think? Do you think LA should burn those guns to recycle for concrete?
