The Bible, easily considered that ultimate in literary achievement ever created, is cast aside as taboo. Furthermore, it's also the most authoritative source of ancient history mankind has.

If you had to choose between ending war and ending abortion which would you choose?

Answer : Abortion.

God teaches us to war, but He doesn't teach us to abort.

"Almost every day my 7 y.o. son says "I love you mom, but I love God and Jesus more". And then he usually asks if that's o.k. with me. I think he's afraid of hurting my feelings. I always tell him "That's how it's supposed to be!". My 4 year old is starting to understand a little better. Whenever he sees something beautiful he always says "Look what God made". They both ask me questions about Heaven quite often. I haven't told them that there's a possibility of us not being together when the rapture happens. I don't know how to address that with my 7 year old. I don't want him to be afraid to go to school, worrying that he'll be away from me when we're raptured. After reading this thread and seeing that other moms are talking to their kids about it, I think I'll tell my boys tonight. I want them to be prepared when the time comes, and I think it's coming soon. I've had a very strange feeling inside for the past couple of weeks. I wake up several times during the night, and every time I wake up I'm thinking about Jesus. I've also been having awful nightmares. It feels like a spiritual tug of war going on in my head every night. Here's a sign that we're getting close: my stubborn old husband is finally reading the Bible for the first time in his life! He reads it for hours every day. That is a true miracle, LOL. Two nights ago he thanked me for leading him to being saved. I never thought I'd see the day that my husband and I would be reading and studying the Bible together. "

[A Rapture Ready poster speculating about what duties they will have in heaven post-rapture.]

think about it...we're gathered around His Throne Jerusalem, decked out in our new glorified bodies, worshiping, singing, dancing...flying around(?)

then our King Yeshua calls out a few saints in the temple and says.."you, you and you; there is a woman about to be decieved in x location! Take my gospel to her and take care of those decieving spirits aswell! then SHOOOO we take off and appear saying "We are the children of the Most High! The King of Heaven and Earth, Yeshua has sent us to you with the Knowledge of His Saving Grace!" then the other Saints take their Swords and blast those decieving spirits back to the Abyss.

there's my story. how do y'all see us operating in the Kingdom? just imagine! share your thoughts!

Evolution is scientific fact? I will need more then you vouching for it. Who has tested evolution? Evolution may have been sucessful in debate with religion but evolution as Scientific FACT. I'm not convinced.

It's interesting you bring up Gravity. A force not seen and the effects can be tested and observed and measured but you are correct. How do you prove gravity? Science says it is the natural attraction of one body (of mass) to another. Science can explain what it is...but cannot explain WHY it is. It is just there and it just happens. We all take it for granted because it JUST IS.

Science can explain only so much and then it still takes a certian amount of faith to believe that we will wake up tomorrow and gravity will still be there.

So is Gravity superstition?

Any Christian Lawyers out there to answer this question?

This is something that has been on my mind for awhile and I was hoping someone on this board might be a lawyer that could answer a question for me.
Would it be legally binding if I made a notorized statement that stipulates that if I should go missing for more than a stated amount of time, that my last will and testament be carried out as if I had passed away? As of right now, my sons are not saved. If the rapture happens in my lifetime ( I hope) I want them to have their beneficiary benefits without any weird glitches about missing persons holding up the works. I want them to have my house and any financial accounts so that they are somewhat secure. I have discussed the rapture and Jesus endlessly but they are too scientifically minded and just don't get it. Things are going to get really bad and I want them to at least have a 'safe haven' during the tribulation. I know when the rapture happens, they will then believe! Too late for the rapture but not too late for salvation. Can anyone help me with this legal question? Thanks for any kind advice you may have.

I'm so sick of this argument. Big name atheists of today pretend to ride in valiantly on their white steeds to rescue us from the horrible fantasy of religion for the betterment of mankind. They need to read a history book.

I say bring back the Friedrich Nietzsche style atheists, at least he was honest about the unavoidable bloodshed in which atheistic philosophy results.

God exists whether you believe in Him or not. And belief in God should NOT be kept away from politics. I bet you have no idea how many Christian leaders we've had who have let their religion affect their political decisions for the BETTER. We'd probably still have slaves if Lincoln didn't inject God into his politics and we'd probably still have British rule if the colonials didn't flee from godless Englanders to start their own country for religious freedom.

(Should we ban atheists from Conservapedia?)

I will side with the answer Yes, but have reservations. Me more than anybody wants liberals out-of-here. But I realize us conservatives have more to learn about 'them'. Though, this requires a tremendous effort to monitor their asinine postings. I feel the same can be said for atheists, which also tend to be liberal. We can learn from their stupidity but at a cost to slowing the development of a highly credible website.

Quote# 49330

[From a blog for Christian women and girls about "modesty".]

So, my daughter’s starting to ask questions. Not fun little questions like “Mommy, why can’t I feed the dog a chocolate bar?” These questions are THE questions: “Mommy, why does Jack’s body (Jack’s her baby brother) look different from mine?” and “Mommy, when will I wear a bra?” and “Billy tried to kiss me on the cheek in the lunch line today. Why?” I very quickly realized I needed some help in wording the answers to these questions appropriately for a 7 year old, so I immediately headed down to one of those big bookstores I love so much. As I read through the “coming of age” books written for girls her age, I almost fell over. The more I read, the more my mouth dropped open in horror as I read what these authors deemed appropriate material for MY baby girl. They all mentioned homosexuality as a normal way of life for anybody. Not ONE of the books mentioned sex within the context of marriage. It was all along the lines of “when two people care for each other very much” without talking about God’s design for sex or the painful consequences of sex outside of marriage. One book even explained masturbation in great detail and stated “This is something you never do in front of someone else. This is something you should always do privately” illustrated by a cartoon girl hanging a Do Not Disturb sign on her bedroom door! Needless to say, I practically ran out of the store I was so upset and promptly called a few friends with girls of similar ages to fill them in on my findings. Every one of them was completely shocked. So, what did I learn in the midst of trying to teach my daughter? I learned that I absolutely cannot depend on the world to teach my little girl Godly principles and promises. I need to depend on God’s Word and people who love Jesus to receive holy advice to help me raise her up to be a woman of purity. I definitely cannot do this alone

Quote# 49031

I can promise you that these 'ghosts' are of a demonic nature. My husband was in a satanic occult for many years before we met. He did not go in willingly but was pulled in by demonic power as a young child. There are NO ghosts that are not demon based. Demons take on other forms such as ghosts to 'fool' people into thinking they are harmless and pull them into their evil realm. At times, they would even take the form of his deceased mother to try and control him even after he became saved. Why? If they came in their 'normal' evil form, you would have your guard up. If they come as a loved one that is gone, you so want it to be true that you are more 'open' to them.

There is a town here in Arkansas. I don't know if I'm allowed to say the name so I won't. In past years, they have had certain very old motels that had 'historical ghosts'. They used this as a draw to get the public in. My husband knew about some of these 'ghosts' and they were demonic beings posing. In recent years, they have started having ghost tours that the entire town promotes. It pulls in revenue. While they are pulling in the tourist, this town has a VERY LARGE satanic occult working underground. Tourists that are 'ghost hunting' are open prey.

I could tell you much more but you get the picture. There is NOTHING harmless about ghosts or demons. Take it from someone who has went toe to toe with them in a spiritual battle. The 'not really having a demonic sense' is just a cover to trap people.

I'm happily married to an unbeliever, who totally accepts the role my belief has in our marriage and my parenting. He believes in the 'morality' behind parenting. What my question is, being conservative in my belief that a wife is submissive to a husband, what should I do when his parenting decisions conflict with what I believe? Specifically, sex ed teaching in 8th grade health class. I really don't believe God intended for a secular agency to teach sexual beliefs and mores, but my husband really thinks my son should sit through the class. If my husband was a believer, I would submit, even while I disagreed, knowing that it rested between him and God the results. Should I have the same attitude with him as a non-believer and talk to my son afterwards (or maybe ask the youth pastor)?
