Consider that soldiers all have weapons and are likely to use them if they find another man in bed with their wife. Since homosexuals have many times more partners than heterosexuals, the danger multiplies for them.

Quote# 53416

Christians, we are hated. Absolutely hated. Before I get into that, I want to put the hatred being directed at us in its proper perspective. While it's never pleasant to be disliked, when we're hated by the world for caring about the things we need to care about? We're in very good company.

Jesus said, as recorded in John 15:18-19:{snip}

Presently, the Christian right is being villified by the press and liberal supporters of Barack Obama. And why? I would submit to you it is because we have torn the cloke they have hidden their sins under away from them and they are lashing out at us in response.

It is the Church of the living God that is standing in the trenches today fighting the war of good versus evil most vocally. While there are secular conservatives in the trenches with us to be sure, Satan and his minions are doing everything within their power to place the blame for all resistance being lifted against the homosexual agenda and the pro-abortion movement squarely on Christians and Christians alone which is to be expected as shown in Scripture above.

While I don't want to be alarmist and raise any unwarranted concerns in the Body of Christ concerning how we're going to be treated from this point forward in America, the future isn't looking bright. Personally, I suspect whether Senator Obama takes the White House or not, the days of Christians being able to boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and the whole of Scripture without facing persecution is practically over.

Just as wives are to be submissive to their husbands, likewise slaves are to be submissive to their masters.

I do not believe slavery is wrong, because a) The bible does not condemn slavery and b) Slavery makes so much sense and to say slavery is wrong we rob the gospel off its meaning and even Election. The concept of total submission and slavery is at the very heart of Christ's gospel.

God's presence when encountered has a fragrance or a sweet smell. This experience is often rare in the life of the believer, but is true indeed. Although I do not smell the presence of God every time I pray, there have been times where in I have smelled the presence of the LORD. It smells so good!

The aroma of God's glory will intrigue the greatest skeptic and cause even those who are from the scientific community to turn there heads. When the presence of the LORD comes in a deep fashion and you encounter it. You may be able to smell what many call a "Sweet fragrance", "Unique spices" or some have even called it an aroma that smells like "Vanilla".

This guy should not be teaching any religion classes. He is basically an atheist. That's how he teaches the class anyway. I do not understand why they replaced the Religious Studies professor at NSU (who was a pastor and retired) with an atheist. He is a very common person and gets along well with students. Do not take him if you're a Christian.

I also feel like you do. That this is our last Thanksgiving and Christmas as we know it.

I just can not explain what I am talking about to most people. Even my son, who is getting his dual master's degree in Theology and the Ministry can not understand what I am talking about. We were up until 2 am last evening talking about end time events and Israel and why I feel this way.

He said that it could be just that this area is where my "calling" is centered, and maybe he doesn't feel like I do because his calling is more for teaching. I just don't understand why more Christians are jumping up and down with anticipation like I am and most here.

Unfortunately, there is more truth to it than we care to admit as an American. Most of the graduates out of high school the last 8-10 years are unable to read at a 8th grade level.
This down hill spiral started back in the mid 60's when the US Supreme Court changed the definition of "church". , which was an unconstitutional act, but no one called them on it.,and it stood. Since the effects of that took place, the S>A>T> scores in US high schools has DROPPED over 80 points, but the home schooled, and Christian schools have not dropped at all, because they maintained God in their life, and education.
There are alot of "rich folks kids" that are very uneducated, doesn't pertain just to the poor folk.

College has long been bigoted toward conservatives. We have all seen it in the elevation of relatively untalented radical Leftists like Angela Davis, Ward Churchill, and William Ayers to professorships while genuine conservative scholars like Newt Gingrich were denied tenure. David Horowitz has built an entire organization simply to defend the individual rights of students against bullying by radical professors (professors, some of whom in their day overran college administration buildings and intimidated the campus faculty.)...

...Our colleges have adopted the same attitude toward intellectual inquiry and scholarly objectivity that colleges in the Soviet Union and in Nazi Germany. The Communist Party in the Soviet Union demanded, for example, that biologists use the fantastically silly theories of Lysenko, and those who did not ended up in the Gulag. The Nazi Party insisted that colleges use Nazi racial theories in every area of study, and with very few exceptions, the professors of Germany nodded in agreement.

Is Mein Kampus a more descriptive term for many colleges in America today? Once politically correct thinking was limited to those disciplines which deal directly with politics. Today biologists must have politically correct views on Darwinism, geologists must have politically correct views on global warming, and criminal justice professors must have politically correct views on President Bush.

A recent Zogby poll of Obama voters found disturbing (and controversial) results. These voters knew almost nothing at all, and that is hardly an exaggeration. I wonder how many of these voters graduated from college? I wonder how many of them teach at our colleges? I wonder how many of them spent their formative adult years in the bowels of Mein Kampus?

Our God is masculine, our Saviour is masculine, and the Holy Spirit is masculine. Holy Ghost-filled men lead the true church of Jesus Christ. The women of God in our midst are absolutely as important as any man, and their role in the church is of the highest importance. There is no difference in importance, but there is a difference in the role that we fulfill. “For God (masculine term) so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (masculine term), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Christ is subject to the Father, man is subject to Christ, and woman is subject to man. It’s God’s order and totally complete.

All of those who object to the teaching of creationism as a viable alternative to evolution are NOT being scientific or objective. The fact of the matter is that nobody alive today was present when the earth and the species on it came into existence by whatever means - so all of our opinions are based upon examination of evidence. The evidence can be (and has been) formatted and presented to support both cases.

If we can engineer plant and animal DNA now, then how can we assume that a higher intelligence couldn't have done a better job millions of years ago? To reject this possibility is to assume that we're currently the most advanced organisms in existence for the entire history of time.

I guess the same people that would exclude creationism as an explanation to our existence would also teach that given enough time, all of the metal, glass, rubber, paint, etc. in an automobile would spontaneously be drawn up from the earth and create a functional machine. We are biological machines, we've been designed, so therefore - there's a engineer/designer. Just as it's never been proven that macro evolution (as opposed to micro variations in species) has ever produced a living thing. Think again - a living animal spontaneously arising out of the dirt. That's not very scientific.

I think the bigger issue is that those who oppose teaching creation simply don't want to acknowledge that there's an authority/creator other or higher than themselves. That's a presumptuous, arrogant, ignorant, and absurd position for any true scientist to logically hold.

THE 9-11 TRUTHERS are trying to understand a miracle, a SIGN FROM GOD, a super-natural event.

Since they are using natural logic and reasoning, they’ll never understand the event and the truth.

The 9-11 Disaster was a SIGN FROM GOD.
So was Katrina, the Sept 2008 economic collapse, the Minneapolis bridge collapse, and others.

My point is:
The Big Fuss about the 9-11 (alledged) conspiracy is un-solve-able until the people recognize that God did it.

The continuous collapse of the World Stock Markets and economies,,,,,is not understandable,,,,,,,,until we admit that God is doing it………

God is causing the people to make decisions which drive down the economy and markets.

Gen 35:5 And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

Pro 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Our leaders have not prayed to God, and they’ve not asked us to pray.

Lord Jesus, we pray for a Godly Leader!

Amen.

Quote# 53594

Santa is evil! Santa claus is wicked. Santa is of the Devil. Did you ever stop to realize that Santa Claus is a clone of the Lord Jesus, intended to replace Jesus in the minds of little children. Just as Jesus knows all, so does Santa. Santa knows if you've been bad or God, something that ONLY God could know (Proverb 15:3). Santa brings unlimited amounts of goodness and gifts to the world, but the Bible says that all good things come only from God (James 1:17). Santa is always pictured as a jolly and righteous fellow, but ONLY Jesus is without sin (2nd Corinthians 5:17). Santa has superpowers: able to make reindeers fly, speak all languages, travel the entire world in one night, able to deliver billions of pounds of presents; but the Bible teaches that ONLY the Lord Jesus Christ can do all things (Jeremiah 32:27). Santa also comes down a chimney, representing Christ who will return from above. Clearly, everything about Santa Claus is a demonic replica of our precious Saviour. Santa Claus is a great imposter, a phony, a fake!!! This is why I call Santa, Satan Claus. Little children are extremely impressionable and DO believe that Santa exists. The consequences of such wickedness is to effectively block Jesus Christ out of a child's mind. Little children spends thousands of hours during each year thinking about Satan Claus, while ignoring the Lord God Who created them. John 1:10, "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not."

Quote# 53447

A man who laughed at the message of repentance, then died the next day

The LORD told my friend/mentor Larry to go to a local bar(pub, place to drink alcohol) and was sent as to tell this man whom God spoke about to Larry; to change his ways(stop drinking). Immediately when Larry arrived and told the man whom God spoke about, the man then laughed at Larry and Larry then went away knowing that he did the will of God and felt sorry for that man.

Not knowing what was going to happen, Larry then discovered that the following day that same man who laughed at him was hit by an oncoming vehicle and died. He died because he was drunk and stumbled in the middle of the road. This was less than 24 hours later. Larry was sad after this happened. So we see that:

Larry was sent by God to tell the man to stop drinking alcohol
The man didn't listen to the message of the prophet
Within 24 hours the man's life was taken because of a careless mistake
The LORD sends his messengers(prophets) to warn people for the sake of protection
The LORD is a protector. He has a strong desire to rescue people from hurtful problems and does not like seeing anyone in pain. Most people say then, why can't God stop war? Because this would violate God's freedom that he gave us(Free will for all). Remember; we are not robots, but people.

Concerning "gay" marriage: my comparasion is dead-on. Immorality always leads to the destruction of a country. It ended the Roman empire, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia, and Sodom & Gomorrah...and it will be the destruction of the US if we continue down this moral slippery slope.

If you say you don't believe in moral absolutes, then you have just stated a moral absolute.

Finally, to say "gay marriage/sex" is "not harmful" to the US is very, very naive. AIDS has killed millions.

The Bible does not say that cats were not present at Herod's birthday party when John the Baptist was beheaded. History shows that cats were most likely present at this tragic party that Jehovah did not approve of. Clearly then, as loyal Christians, why would we even want to associate with animals that are without a doubt of such bad influence, remembering how true are the Bible's words: 'Bad associations spoil useful habits'! -1 Cor. 15:33. Some have exposed themselves to possible spiritual contamination in this way. To invite cats in our house is to toy with disaster. Can one deny that the chance exists that the same grave consequences could visit your home that fell upon John? Clearly, God disapproved of this 'birthday' party. Should we not then disapprove (without showing any malicious intent, only Godly hatred) of cats the way the scriptures recommend?

Creationists: God made everything and everything was made by God. His name is Jesus, who made Himself a body to become the sacrifice for our sins, that we would not have to be punished for them (our sins) but instead receive everlasting life.

Intelligent Design: Used in archeology when examining artifacts to ascertain the development level of the society in which the artifact was made. Also used in the scientific quest to find evidence of extraterrestrial life. Using the concept of irreducible complexity to ascertain the possibility that an intellegent being had created an artifact. "Observations, Practicums and CONCLUSIONS", boys and girls. REAL SCIECE YOU IDIOTS!

Darwinism: A dogmatic cult of quasi-science based on 19th century science. One of the root causes of the spread of socially destructive movements. The passive role of scientific theory has become the mantra of totalitarian governments that despise God and love the propagada of the "Theory of Evolution". Its yesterday's science, like bleeding to cure a disease, frontal lobotomies to fix mental disorders and forced sterializations.

Quote# 53448

This is one of the most unique stories I have in prophecy which confirms the truth of God's word over the doubt of a young man. While I was in High school and in 9th grade I was friends with an atheist. He was a good friend of mine and I remember telling him about the Gospel as to witness the truth of Christ's reality before God. He was always interested in talking with me, but did not understand always. Because of his understanding he doubted God.

One day as we were walking to class together, he told me that he wanted to believe in God, but needed proof. As he said this, the Spirit of the LORD came over me and I said to him. "Within a week, God will open your eyes". In my mind, I never thought anything of it and believed that he could one day have his divine encounter with the Holy spirit at Church or something of that nature.

But to my surprise he came to me a week later. While he was sitting at the lunch table with me at our school, I noticed something very different about him. Usually he was very talkative, but after he saw me, he became very quiet and had a real respect for me. Something very unique happened to him, so I asked him what happened and are you ok?

He reminded me of what I told him a week ago and said, do you remember what you said to me? "Withing a week, God will open your eyes?" I said yes of course. He then described a young girl who looked ancient at the same time and who took him to a city in which he was filled with awe. He described everything as it was written in the "Book of Revelation" which is the last book of the bible as it describes heaven.

That night, before he came to school and saw me that day he was in Heaven. The LORD transported him by his word and at the moment of his revelation, a young girl of angelic qualities took him around the city from what he described as a brief tour before paradise. He mentioned that he also saw people there and everybody was so happy, not one person was sad.

This amazing story and revelation before my eyes will live on and I will never forget about his encounter. After he told me his story I gave him my only bible at the time. He was so numb looking that day when I saw him. I will never forget the presence of the LORD upon him, I was amazed just looking at him as beforehand he was an atheist, now believer. With man, things can be impossible, but with God, "Nothing is impossible".

Homeschooling is dangerous to the powers behind the politicians because the home schooled youthful minds are not available to be brainwashed. My kids go to public school but I've also done a lot of teaching at home with them. They are prepared at home not to accept everything they're taught in school as truth. From my girl's reactions to the "health" class curriculum in jr high and high school, that is one place where the powers do significant brainwashing.

Speaking of homosexuality being the 'hot-button' sin, I think the reason some in the Christian world speak out against this particular sin SO often is that the homosexuals are SO extremely vocal about claiming that being gay is 'normal' and something to be celebrated and accepted. You don't hear anyone (that I know of) claiming that their sin of lying or stealing, for instance, is right and good. JMHO

Quote# 53344

Creation DOES have evidence. Its called THE BIBLE. and the bible has lots of proof of it being true too. In the bible (if you have heard of Noah's Ark) it says exactly how big the boat is and where it landed. TO THIS DAY, scientists have found a boat of the same dimensions in the mountains (in the bible the ark landed on a mountain) the boat was found underground.

More evidence - Evolutionists say that coal takes THOUSANDS even MILLIONS of years to form and yet, it has been created in labs by many scientists within a couple of DAYS even HOURS!

I am not rejecting "fact" when I reject evolution because it is still only a theory. I am not convinced one bit that evolution is real. they say that animals changed drastically from reptiles to birds, but there is no fossil evidence for these "missing links". However, there is such thing as Micro evolution. micro evolution is the only thing in evolution I believe because you can actually watch it happen. (not that I have to see to believe) but there is also fossil evidence for micro evolution.

I am in NO way trying to force my opinions on you, I am just proving that you are very wrong when you say the creation has 0 evidence.

(Article Shortened in post)

A West Michigan church has announced it has canceled a public performance of a controversial religious drama that portrays a murderous lesbian with AIDS who is a victim of incest being dragged off by demons into hell.

Inspired by the Bible's Book of Revelation, "The Last Call" was performed in two Muskegon-area public schools before the community challenged the drama on the basis it violated the separation of church and state.

...

Steele teachers, staff and students were required to attend a Good Friday assembly in which a morality play of sorts was performed by more than 50 actors. In the most controversial skit, a man who molested his two teenage nieces is murdered by one of his victims, who is lesbian. Upon his death, the child-molester repents, accepts Jesus and is escorted into heaven. Upon her death, the lesbian does not repent and is seized by demons who drag her off stage amid smoke and blood-curdling screams into hell.

In another of the nine skits, a woman who had an abortion repents and is reunited in heaven with the fetus.

...

After weeks of letters to the editor and an ACLU investigation of Muskegon Public Schools, Wright announced he was withdrawing "The Last Call."

"I don't want anybody to get any information that would cause some people with a negative viewpoint to go after the schools," Wright told the Muskegon Chronicle on June 19. "I think that's what the ACLU is looking for."
