Since it's a musical, I will post it here. I would advise everyone, as Christians, not to take your children to this. For those who don't know, it's about how the Wicked Witch of the West, in Wicked named Elphiba, eventually became evil and went against the Wizard. I went and saw this yesterday, and was horrified. I've always liked the Wizard of Oz because the Witch, who was evil and used witchcraft, was defeated by a little girl who didn't have any evil powers, at all. Remember, even "good magic" is bad. Even the Wizard uses no powers, and is just a man. But in Wicked, they make this Elphiba out to be good natured and not really evil deep down, because the Wizard just wanted to use her. It teaches children that this witch is good, even though she uses witchcraft. Just a heads up.

So I made this simple picture to express my feelings for somebody who believes in nothing.

here we see a person sitting in a blank room without any doors or windows. What is most troubling is the fact that this person wants to be here, and is unwilling to move from his chair. Alone,neglected, and lost to the ravages of time. without anything to grab onto and hold as a symbol of his own identity. Those who seek nothing as a reward shall ultimately receive it.

I don't think Atheists can even believe in love, which is the saddest part.

Have you ever read about David? I mean other than what you learned in school about the stone and Goliath. David was a warrior and a king. He killed by the thousands and he was loved and blessed by God.

I don't expect you to understand what the Bible teaches. It isn't rocket science, but it does require a wiling mind and heart to understand that our's, as humans, is not to question God, but to honor him.

For older kids, this might be ok. But for our 4 year old we saw some episodes we did not feel comfortable having our child watch. Arthur (the program) tends to occasionally get on a soapbox on current issues. One episode I saw made those not in favor of "Harry Potter" type books look like fools: as if we were back in the day of book burnings and witch hunting. As one who firmly believes Potter's teachings are not in line with Scriptural principles, it comes as a slap in the face. I don't want my child being brainwashed with some of the producer's ideas of reality.
