[on the TV show, Futurama]

Not only does this show contain sexual innuendo, blasphemy against our faith, and promotes the false belief in alien life forms, but it also takes place in the year 3000 (by which time the rapture will most likely have come)...

Quote# 35681

Why are some people homosexual?
Imho, it is from the devil. The battlefield is the mind. The devil counterfeits the good things of God to deceive humans to destroy them slowly.
I was molested twice as a child and as a result of that I had gotten evil spirits in me that were pushing their ungodly emotions/feelings/desires through me making me think that I was homosexual and desired to be with men.
I received deliverance from evil spirits and those emotions/feelings/desires left.
I had gotten married to a wonderful woman and we've been married for 12 years now.
Thanks,
TT

Ya know, there are tons of things in the Bible that may not be 100% clear to us. We could have discussion after discussion about it all. But, we are to walk by faith, not by sight. If everyone was to question the things that aren't clear, I have a sad feeling that not many people would be serving God right now. We'd all be doubting God. We just need to take it on Faith and know that with God all things are possible!!!!!

Religion? No, lets make this quite clear: Not all religions are equal. Christianity should play a large role in modern society, as God intended, for it is the Truth. But the abomination of Islam should be wiped out, destroyed by force if nessicessary - both for its constantly earthly attrocities and oppressions, and for leading people from Christ and thus damning them eternally. To speak of 'religion' lumps all religions together. Christianity is good, everything else is bad, and any christian who doesn't realise this just hasn't yet realised that by the fundamental tennants of Christianity they are allowing people to literially go to hell in the name of freedom.

Any time science obviously disagrees with the Bible then science is obviously wrong regardless of how the evidence is interpreted.

"I'm sure that dictionary would be all but impossible to find in a school today. But there was a time years ago, when Bible reading and prayer was actually part of the public school curriculum."

[Thank goodness those times are gone. School is secular because not every child is Christian, and shouldn't be required to participate in the religion to become an educated person. If people want religion in their education they can go to a private school focused on that.]

"Have you ever looked at the statistics of youth related school violence since God was taken out of the classroom? So is it any surprise that Eric Harris, on the day of the Columbine killings, wore a t-shirt that read "NATURAL SELECTION"?"

Quote# 35674

As I have said on many occasions, and even preached on a few occasions: I don't "believe" in God. I know him. And trust me, that distinction makes all the difference in the world. No person, and no argument - no matter how "rational" it may seem - will ever convince me that God doesn't exist. I mean, you might as well try and convince me that my wife doesn't exist! Of course she does! I don't "believe" that my wife exists. I know her! And likewise I don't "believe" that God exists. I know him!

A real, honest-to-goodness, intimate "relationship" with God is the one, sure-fire, guaranteed, stone-cold-lock way of making atheism seem like the absolute silliest thing you've ever heard.

And please forgive me, because I am not trying to put down the other JD, or anything they've posted. I guess I've just always marveled at how anyone who has truly "known" God can ever get to a point where they so much as even just consider atheism as anything even remotely approaching a possible, or viable idea. It would be like my suddenly - and seriously, no less - considering as even a possibility the idea that Katie (my wife) not only doesn't exist now, but has NEVER actually existed at all! I mean, I was just with her last night. Of course she exists!

Look, even Buddha predicted jesus would come in the future!

...'I am not the first Buddha Who came upon this earth, nor shall I be the last. In due time another Buddha will arise in the world, a Holy One, a supremely enlightened One, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious knowing the universe, an incomparable leader of men, a Master of angels and mortals. He will reveal to you the same eternal truths which I have taught you. He will preach to you His religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax and glorious at the goal, in spirit and in the letter. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and pure, such as I now proclaim.' His disciples will number many thousands, while Mine number many hundreds.'

[Where did this actually come from and where does it talk about Jesus?]

(link to a site naming Baha'u'llah as the person referenced)

LOL if you can't see that means jesus, you're blind.

Who's "disciples" number many thousands?

Doesn't Buddha have less disciples?

it would take alot more faith to believe in evolution then in Creation. Cause I mean we have this best seller book that says creation is true. and only a couple of books that claim evolution is true.

And there's no reason to believe that Noah couldn't have taken baby "dinosaurs" with him on the ark. In fact, there's no reason to beleive that all the animals on the ark weren't babys. That would make fitting them in there a whole lot easier.

Quote# 35666

(If your god exists, his "love" would be on the same level as an abusive parent who beats his wife or his children because of alcohol, and then says "See what you made me do?! Why didn't you just love me?!")

Let's look at where ALL of our problems began.Genesis 3. Man and his wife have chosen to rebel against His will, and God says Ok, I'll give you and the rest of your kind the choice, eithercontinue to do what you want and accept the consequences or follow me.

Guess which choice man has ultimately made? They certainly don't choose God, and to say Jesus in front of an atheist might as well be a four etter word!

We will continue to reap this JUST fruit until we turn to Him!

God is logical.
If he wasn't, then he would have created the grass before the light!
What is the probability God would have gotten all 7 days in the right order if he had no logic?

I got the belt and no problems here. We used the belt one time on my almost 6 year old daughter for being soooo defiant one day several months ago. Afterwards we felt so bad that we never did it again, it really bruised her behind. But we still do spank and use a silicone spatula for the times she really acts up. The bible does say this is the best way to discipline a child and I agree....having been thru it myself, i deserved every whippin I got I am glad my parents were strict with me because I think I turned into a good person

Quote# 35655

"The Creation account states that plants were created before the SUN, it's true, but not before LIGHT. The light (from a source other than the sun -- is what gave the days their 24-hour length (evening and morning, you catch?) each day of Creation Week.

It was on Day 4 that God created the Sun to be the light-bearer.

So plants could have lived before the Sun. And they did."

Quote# 35652

God couldn't have killed off the dinosaurs - or anything else for that matter - before Adam. Scripture says death came thru Adam's sin. Therefore, no plants, no animals, no nothing died prior to Adam's disobedience. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. The dinosaurs weren't carnivorus. They grazed just like all the other animals. Remember, there was no sin. Scripture says death is the wages of sin. Have to stick with the Word and not fables or carnal suppositions.

The earth is spinning but it is slowing down. So that means that it used to be going faster. How many can figure that out with no help? Okay several. Well, now if the earth is only 6,000 years old that is not a problem. It was probably spinning a little faster when Adam was here. Maybe they had 23 and 1/2 hours in a day. They would not notice, they did not have a watch anyway.
