In Matthew 24, Jesus tells us that the stars will fall from the sky. I highly doubt that only the planets will stay up there. So I see stars and planets as synonymous. And since no scientist has ever visited a star, they can't prove they're different from planets. I acknowledge that my belief is only a theory. But I'll stick with it since scientists haven't shown their infallibility the way Jesus has.

Quote# 37896

I think the first thing we must understand is the depravity of man. We are not good people. I saw you said there are so many "good people." But Jesus said no one is good, no one but God. Jer. 17:9 says our hearts are deceitful and wicked. God doesn't see His creation as good people. He sees us as sinful, unholy, undeserving human beings that have chosen to go their own way... without Him. He chose to save some to be with Him when they die. That's a merciful God. I'd recommend reading the book, "The Holiness of God" by R.C. Sproul. That might help some. If we understand how sinful our sin is and how holy God is, then it makes sense that He will throw people into the lake of fire and why we all deserve it, even the nicest of people like little old ladies.

Quote# 37873

Ladies, most of your husbands are fine men. Wouldn't it be a shame for your guy to live and die without having what is his rightful heritage? How pitiful! How tragic! I wish I could help you realize the purpose for which God made you. I wish I could get you to get to your man and help make that man all that God wants him to be. Complete him. Then you'll know what it is to be happy.

Do you know what these women's libbers are? They are a group of confused women trying to find happiness and failing because they are searching for it outside of God's Word and God's plan.

You say, "I have my rights too!

No, you don't. Not yet! A woman does not have any right in this world until she's done this. You check in the Bible. Always in the Bible the first command is to the follower. In Ephesians 5:22, for example, it says, "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands." Then in verse 25 it says, "Husbands, love your wives." Who's supposed to start it? The wife!

It says in Ephesians 6:1, "Children, obey your parents." Then in verse 4 it says, "Fathers ... bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

What does it mean? God gives the command first to the follower. He says, "I want the wife to do her job first." That means you have no rights until you do your job. That means He wants the child to obey first. That means He wants the child to obey even if the dad is never the right kind of dad. That means a child is supposed to obey, regardless!

craig101084, religion can't be a lie. It is manmade rituals to celebrate and worship. It is an action, it cant be a lie. I for one believe that religion separates us for the most part, but I have a very strong faith. Thats how the separation from church and state always gets taken way out of context. The founding fathers NEVER meant separation from God and state.

The only inconsistency is when it isnt understood properly, misinterperted, misapplied, and down right disreguarded. How many books are available from that time period? If the Bible is not the word of God, how has it survived the numerous attempts to destroy it? Everytime arceologists dig up a piece of stone with writing on it, it proves the Bible accurate, and this info is from the doubters themselves. Right down to the dates! They have even found the location where Moses and the Isrealites crossed the Red Sea, with proof of Egyptian chariots, horses & human skeletons RIGHT where the Bible said it happened!!! The Bible tells you of the many rulers of Israel and Judah, including the stupid stuff they did. How many historical documents from any other nation show their rulers faults??

There is scientific proof of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Jericho, Babylon, Jeruslem...proof of the plagues that hit Egypt even in their own hyroglyphics. The Bible fortold how and who would destroy Babylon, over 400 years before it happened. Many prophecies pointed to the coming of Jesus..again right as it was fortold. If you wish to get into the many prophecies that pointed to them I most certainly would be glad to do so.

Quote# 37898

We lost my father-in-law nearly 2 years ago to cancer. He did not believe. He heard the gospel, but chose to reject it. As far as human standards go, he was a "good" man. He was a truck driver most of his life. He helped hundreds and hundreds of stranded motorists (especially in the days before cell phones), paid for meals for the hungry and cold, would literally give a stranger the shirt off his back to keep them a little bit warmer, etc. You could call him in the middle of the night because you needed to talk. He NEVER complained about working, helping, or anything. I am SO blessed to have known him. However, he made his choice concerning his eternity. About an hour before he passed away, my husband "preached the gospel" to him one last time (the first time he had done that as he was a new believer himself). He was pretty incoherent and nodded that he understood and nodded that he wanted to believe Jesus died for our sins (it's not too late until you've taken your last breath from what I understand). We are not sure if he was coherent enough to "get it" or not. At that point, he was nodding at everything we said. Right now, I take comfort he was. We won't know until we get to Heaven. Salvation comes from believing Jesus died for our sins, not our works. However, that doesn't give us a free ride. We still need to do good works.

What good comes from telling a child that they have a common ancestor to the monkeys and apes? That is real good for self esteem? Then believing we are only animals we can begin to live like animals.....multiple sex partners for one thing. I'm sure that the belief in evolution , and the derived philosophy, is partly responsible for AIDS and the rapid spreading of AIDS.

Quote# 37910

["Earth is not a closed system...Sun"]

Semantics - depends on how you define "closed" system. Earth only?, Solar System only? Galaxy?Universe? Everything? You can play the game by saying nothing is closed, which i think you are trying to do. But, you still can't reverse the 2nd Law.

So, again like Munck's logic, if the earth is not a "closed" system, then the 2nd Law doesn't apply here, and we would expect to find it violated often. We never do. I would be very interested in examples of where the 2nd Law is violated regularly. Show me the 100%+ efficient engine. It does not exist. If it doesn't exist in simple, inantimate, unintelligent objects, the evolutionist make the jump to say that it happens in geometrically far more complex living organisms? That is folly.

You can argue semantics, but you can't argue the 2nd Law. We did not descend from apes, priordial soup bowls of amino acids, from other lower life forms. It's complete and utter foolishness. That belief diminishes the nobility of man, and denegrates our God, and takes people away from, not toward, salvation. It's a convenient doctrine to allow men to do whatever they want, with no consequences eternally. But the 2nd Law will get reversed one day - by Power. Christ came, and gained the power to reverse the 2nd Law, to save us from the effects of this terrible Law.

The scripture is clear on this matter, the earth is not moving, nor can it be moved. Therefore the sun revolves around the earth. If you disagree , you disagree with the bible and with God. The Church's treatment of Galileo Galilei was fully correct.

My priest may disagree and there may be many supporters of Helliocentrism in the Catholic Church, but the fact still stands: The Earth is not moving according to the bible and the bible is always right.

What is marriage, and what are its limits? Can I marry an animal? A tree? A rock? A city? A child? Myself? A ghost? An idea? A philosophy? A boat? A legal system? Janet Reno? I mean, where are we going to set the limits?
Who/what should humans be able to legally marry, and why? Is a threshold ever reached where a type of marriage becomes nonsensical and therefore too problematic to be considered a good idea?

There are people in this world who wish to legally marry each of the things I mentioned in my list. But they are almost always denied legally doing so. Case by case, why?

And, please -- no one play the tired line, "How dare you compare something as great and noble as gay sex with bestiality! !1! !11!11!1One!1! !1!"

[ A blurry photo of his "young fossil" ]

This is a fossil i found near my home in Nova Scotia, the Geology here is all igneous rock, so finding a fossil here is next to impossible. Unless fossils don't take long to form.

This fossil is of a leaf, actually to be more specific

A plant found here.

The biggest problem about this fossil is that its only a half fossil. Thats right only half of the leaf is fossilized, see the pieces missing ? i peeled them off with my finger, the other parts are solid rock, the parts peeled off look and feel like a dead leaf.

Millions of years i think not, in all truth, this fossil was "made" by me, i placed it in the perfect conditions and it fossilized in about 1 year.

This is more evidenace supporting a young earth.

[ How did you do it? ]

Around where i live we have many underground springs, pulling up minerals from the ground i simply placed a leaf on a rock and buried it near one of these springs piles on top of it heavy clay and forgot about it for a year, i dug it up a few weeks ago.

Its almost like that case abut the fossil acorns.

I don't trust atheists. I really don't. In a godless world people will behave in a godless way. If someone believes in God and trusts what the Bible teaches then even if they behave bad they will apologise, seek forgiveness... there's no compulsion for atheists to do any such thing. In a godless world you only get to face up to your actions if you get caught.

I find atheists tend to be sneaks who put up a farce that they are moral but as soon as your back is turned they do what they like. Not to be trusted.

A Gay Site, I should have known. Amazing how the Internet seems to be doing the work of the Devil these days. Most of the sites on the Internet are Porn Sites and Gay Sites and anything else in between. Another waste of man's great ability to progress gone down the drain. I just wish you people posting here would read what you are posting - I repeat - I am not a religious person, I belong to no religious denomination but I am tired of "homosexual people" making a joke out of God and trying to "sell" us on their false belief that they love God and God loves them without acknowledging to Him the wrong in their chosen SIN. You homosexuals try to slam heterosexuals and Christians who fight against the evil of your ways by labeling us as "hate mongers" and you assume that unless we literally kiss your buts then that must mean we do not know God because God and love, peace, etc. etc. etc. Just as your claim a piece of this pie of Life and that you all have this right and that right - well so do we and guess what - we have The Holy Bible on our side - what do you really have on your side to prove that He accepts you in your CHOSEN lifestyle. I am gonna have to be BANNED from this site for exercising my Freedom of Speech, so until then if I feel the need to reply to anyone addressing me then I will be around

I've read reports showing the false beliefs of science. "IF" evolution existed we'd still be hairy like apes. For evolution to choose us and not apes is way off. To say well one got to evolutionize and the other stayed hairy. Evolutionist will tell you that the hair stayed on ur head for the sun rays to get blocked. Last time I checked hair was to keep you warm in the winter, not to block sun rays. In that case how come through the generations people getting skin cancer haven't developed into hairy beasts. Exactly, thank you because evolution does not exist. It's a made up theory. You claim evidence, evidence of what? Have you seen it with your own eye's or are you believing a lie? I'm telling you right now, if it goes against Gods word then it is wrong. By accepting Evolution you take away Adam and Eve. You know how so many animal fossils have turned to bone so fast is because they were not only preserved in mudd from the Flood, but they were also compressed with water. Water increases the process of bones turning into rocks. And yet still fossils found today have bone inside of them. Now do you think a bone inside of a rock could last millions of years? Probably not. I'm not flaming you, just stating that it's mis guided information for people to accept a way to go against God. God stressed no tolerance what so ever of other religions, and yes science is a religion.

I don't see "authorities" going into the homes of unwed pregnant teenagers and taking the kids from their parents. I think it is hypocritical for the government to treat "religious" people differently. How about the thousands of girls that have abortions every year at Planned Parenthood? They are required by law to report abuse (rape, incest, sex with minors by adults etc..) and have you ever heard of even one case? There is abuse in all walks of life, should the state take the kids from every church member when one member is accused of abuse?

Hello,

My name is John Muise, I am a Christian born and raised in the greatest Country i think there is :flagcanada: Eh.

Anywho enough foreplay. :D

I believe very strongly that the earth is about 6,000 years old, It was created in 6 literal 24 hour days, and that Jesus is they way the truth and the light. The evolution theory as presented today is 100% false in every aspect with the exception of micro evolution, if it can so be called, I prefer it be called adaptation and nothing else because it confuses the kids.

I am willing to talk about any topic under Stellar, Chemical, Cosmic, Organic, Macro and Micro Evolution, Geology, Physics and various branches from these main topics.

The Bible contains all factual material and i will continue to believe it till its proven wrong. (good luck)

Most of my inspiration comes from Dr. Kent Hovind, Walt Brown Ph.D, Bruce Malone and Don Boys Ph.D.
