Quote# 37130

Okay as a scientist I am of course very interested in how sciece relates to the Bible. For quite some time now I have wrestled with the idea of the Laws of Science. I have now come this conclusion: there is no such thing as the Laws of Science. That the Laws of Science are a philosophic invention rather than a scientific fact.

So, let me explain. Take an object like a bunch of keys in your hand and let go. What happens? It falls to the ground. Why? Laws of Science says because there is a magnet in the earth called gravity that pulls all objects down. I think it is because God made it drop and if He had not made it drop it would have hovered about in the air.

In other words everything that happens in the scientific realm happens not because of the Laws of Science but by the direct action of God. The Laws of Science were invented by philosophers to explain away God. Look at Psalm 104:14 to find out why grass grows in your garden.

Our political candidates are weaker than at any point in history. Free speech has become a mute point, as being an outspoken Christian can land you in prison. Kids are killing each other in massacres on school campuses. The weather is completely backwards and makes no sense. People are dying left and right. Atheism is becoming a fashion statement. Even non-believers know something really bad is on the way. They call it "impending doom," we call it prophesy.

Quote# 37102

why would people think atheism is better than christianity?

1. atheists wish christians would die, christians wish atheists would repent.

2. christians know where there going after they die, atheists dont think they go anywhere.

3. atheists hate, christians love.

4. christians worship God, atheists dont worship anyone or anything.

5. christians gain comfort from God, atheists are comforted only by themselves.

so it's quite obvious that atheism is a hateful and lonely religion, but christianity is full of love and hope and comfort.

I had an experience this past July that really woke me up I was talking to a friend about world events being like endtime prophecy from the Bible. Well my friend went on vacation to Bullhead City and on to Malibu when he got back he said"those people out there are not living like it's the end times they are building houses like crazy and livin' it up". Well the lightbulb came on in my head and I said "that's what Jesus said it would be like just before he returned."Matthew 24:36-39 My friends reply was "I been hearing that my whole life and it aint happend yet" well that's when the sirens went off in my head; 2nd Peter 3:3-4 I told him that's just what the Bible said people would say .Now he just thinks I'm crazy, anyway that's one of the reasons I joined this board !

[The whole article is full of this kind of weirdness]

No eclipse was possible due to the positions of the sun and moon during the passover. Therefore, the darkness that occurred over the face of the earth is not explainable by natural causes. It was a supernatural event! Consider the following:
1) The Jewish Passover occurs during the full moon.
2) Full moon occurs when the moon is behind the earth.
3) This means a supernatural darkness occurred over the earth.
4) The darkness occurred during Christ's death.
5) The universe responded to the Creator's death.

Barak Obama is the anti-christ and i have the proof!

the NOI prophesied the final muhommed (a muslim) would come into the world from the union of a white female and black male based on their interpretation of the story of Mary Magdelin and Jesus Christ; being white and black respective. Obama fulfills this.

Obama hails from chicago whose zipcode is 60606 (do you see the three sixes ?)

Obama would be a "black" president in the "white" house (satan is described as black in attribute and who seeks to take over the white mansion known as heaven).

Obama's first name is JEWISH! which means blessed [baruch].

Obama is MUSLIM

Quote# 37092

There are three reasons (at least) that shorts on ladies are immodest:

1. Isa 47:2-3 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. (3) Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man. According to this passage, revealing the thigh (the part of your leg above your knee) is revealing your nakedness. That is immodest in it's purest sense.
2. Many young ladies like to wear men's walking shorts. Though these are often long enough to cover the thigh, they still are "men's pants", an abomination.
3. Men's walking shorts reveal the form of the lady's body. Again, this is immodest.

I can walk into a crowded room and mention the Rapture and whoosh the room is empty. That is ok if you need a seat, , but does not say much for the people. I get the feeling that they are afraid, and do not want to hear what is comming.
What is ahead is so much better than what we have here. I do not understand them.

Response:
I see it in mostly the un-saved people. I was telling my daughter that we (the saved, born agains), I believe are supernaturally protected with the Holy Spirit. It's almost like you can "see" the huge separation, the diffference between the goats and the sheep.

The ones who aren't saved are able to act more evil and be filled with anything fowl.

The false teachers of feminism teach a false lifestyle of unrighteousness. They prey on weak-willed women - unstable women who are quilt ridden because of their sins, torn by lust, and victims of various false teachers ("always learning," but never coming to a saving knowledge of Christ). A large number of feminists are victims of childhood abuse and are bitter toward men. Their 'guilt' is associated somehow with the false belief that they are responsible for their abuse. Rather than receiving the forgiving grace of Jesus, most of these women have bought into the lie perpetrated by false teachers that they are 'emancipated' and as a result are unable to function in a healthy relationship with a man. No wonder the majority of women in NOW are lesbians.

One of my direct manifested encounters was surrounding my participation in the game Dungeons and Dragons back in the 80’s along with the music I listened to at the time (i.e. Suicidal Tendencies, DRI and other such demonically inspired bands). A being attacked me in the night from which it was surrounding my pile of books, maps, notes and albums in which it made loud, clear and definable noises. Once I approached, it physically came up against me but the Holy Spirit ushered it away so that it may not posses me. My friends had similar encounters, I thus got rid of that stuff. Much happened in those days and not all were as guarded as I, it seems.

Homosexuals in the Workplace. I could write a book on that topic. Years ago a homosexual asked me at least once a week when will we go out for drinks. At first I politely declined. He was determined and persistent. Finally I complained to a supervisor about his behavior. His employment was terminated the next day. I later learned that I was not the first person he harassed in that manner. He was warned on several other occasions about his behavior. I felt bad about his losing his job but he brought it upon himself.

I too witness every day the evil, arrogant, constant fowl mouthed comments of my coworkers. I try very hard to be the shining light but the deep darkness surrounding me every day is almost too much to bear. Quitting is not an option for me because I can not find another job that pays near as much as I earn now. I witness to them at every opportunity but my witnessing to them only seems to increase their behavior. It seems that they go out of their way to mock my faith. I pray continuously for them and for God to deliver me from them. I know that I am there for a reason. Perhaps one day my example will bear fruits.

[Trying to justify God's genocidal Great Flood]

Since you seem to be unfamiliar with he details of the flood account while feeling qualified to delve on its contents let me elucidate you by informing you that the population involved is not described as being totally human. Now I'm assuming you didn't know this little relevant fact. However, if you did and are still defending that genetically contaminated population as worthy of living next to normal humans, then, it becomes a matter of your ethical principles versus God's. And if that is so-then I choose God's.

The Council of Nicea did nothing for Christianity.
It did, however, help omulate and foster the beginnings of the Roman Catholic Church and its rise to power.
The independent Christians, including the precursors to what are today call Baptists, by and large refused to participate in that council because it, in itself, was not biblical.

Quote# 37066

The idea of a Universal Church was a Catholic (Greek- "Katholicos" which means "Universal") invention which was never accepted by true, bible-believing Christians. The direct descendents of those early Christians that predated the existence of the Catholic Church by several centuries are represented today by the Independent Baptist Churches that exist throughout the world. This can be proven by a direct historically verifiable lineage from the Church that Christ started. And those churches of today and those of our historical lineage on back through the centuries to the time of Christ himself, predating the Catholic Church by several centuries, never questioned the divinity of Christ.

My fear, though, has been put to rest, for we are fortunate enough to have a leader who speaks to God. Not only this, but President Bush is a born again Christian, so he would never abuse his power. Just as God commanded Moses to attack the enemies of Israel and massacre men and boys, He has commanded our President to kill terrorists. It makes sense, then, that our modern day Moses of a President be empowered to spy on us, to read our e-mails, listen to our conversations, and search our homes. In fact, God may have even given the President a special Heavenly device, where he can read our every thought and watch our every move. Just imagine that the next time you decide to sin OR commit terrorist acts against the country.

Quote# 37064

Where did Cain get his wife?

Adam was the first man (1 Cor. 15:45) and Eve is the mother of all living (Gen. 3:20). Genesis 5:4 tells us that Adam and Eve had both sons and daughters besides Cain, Abel and Seth. So Cain married one of his sisters.

"Now wait a minute," someone might say, "doesn't the Bible forbid brothers and sisters to marry?" Yes it does, but that law came many, many years later (in Lev. 18-20). During the time of Cain it was okay to marry siblings. Here's why:

Our genes have mistakes in them. When people who aren't related have children, their offspring inherit different bad genes. But when relatives have children, there is a much greater chance that the children will inherit the same bad genes, resulting in an increased likelihood that they will have birth defects.

But before the fall of man, Adam and Eve had no bad genes (Gen. 1:31). After the fall, Cain and his brothers and sisters had bad genes, but not many. As time went on, the amount of bad genes humans were carrying had increased to the point at which God had to forbid relatives from marrying and having children.
