Am, you know they'll just deny and make the fallacious arguments that there's no connection with hitler then tell us how he was a Christian etc. it's getting dull now, we're dealing with people who deny real history and write their own so they can forward their godless agenda

I'm terrible with links but if you google Obama and hindu god you will come upon a story that broke yesterday about certain things he carries in his pocket...one of them is a madonna and child and then there is a hindu god;
among other things. I would like opinions on this. I found this on a secular
website and the majority of people think it's much ado about nothing. Most
christians disagree. What say you? I say whenever there is a leader who
does such things yet proclaims to be a christian, it shows what interesting times we live in.

[Do you believe that homosexual sexual activity is morally wrong?]

Yes, no matter what scientific aspect you take: Tab A always fits into Slot B. Male and female parts; even in electronics. Two male plugs don’t produce electricity just like two female slots don’t turn on the lamp.

Truthfully, I think this "straw man" peanut butter argument is still more plausible than the geologic column, Piltdown man, Archeoraptor, Haekel's fake drawings? or any number of fraudulent evolutionary proofs. Peddle your religion somewhere else. Evolution requires too much faith for me.

I have had an uneasy feeling the last several years, kind of an impending doom thing. I was always checking out survivalists websites and keeping food in stock, etc. (Some of this was after our area went crazy and had the biggest evacuation in history during Hurricane Rita-we stayed home) I even printed out much of the ready.gov info off their website. Even though I was saved when I was 12, I still wasn't clear about the rapture.
Then I started researching the rapture more and realized that this is what I was waiting for, and I had nothing to worry about as I would not be here for most of the disasters awaiting the world. Now I am excited!!! I am still prepared, since we live in very uncertain times, but I am not as scared, because I know where we will end up. I don't understand the Christians who say they are not 'ready' for the rapture! How can you not be ready to meet our Maker??? I can't wait!

[Amother from Mr. Willis' brilliant essay]

Evolutionism was/is the apologetic foundation for the faith of predatory capitalism, Germany in WWI, the USSR (from 1918 to this day), NAZI Germany, Fascism in other European countries, and Socialism in all of Eastern Europe beginning about 1945. It was also a major justification in the defense of slavery in the 1800's against Christian opponents.

ElectricSkeptic:
Evolution is neither an ideology, a worldview, or a belief system. It's a scientific theory.
It's excellent science and it's not philosophy at all.

lightwave:
You are utterly and completely wrong about all of the above

Evolution is a belief system and the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind

it has adherents and evangelists, persecutes its heretics, excommunicates its apostates, shouts down its nay-sayers and demands loyalty and exclusivity among its faithful

Tim Russert split hell wide open on this day! Russert had influence over what qualified as news and how that news was presented, but he misused his God-given power, choosing to lie about God and promote and enable all manner of sin! But God visted him on this day, saying "Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee." Luke 12:20 Amen!

[Review about Michael Bay's 'Transformers']

Negative - Any Christian parent should beware of this movie. This is not a movie about transforming robots battling each other on Earth. It is about a teenager trying to get into some girl's pants for the first time. The whole movie is about how this guy schemes to lose his virginity while in high school, about how uncool it is to be a virgin ('hey dad, do you want me to be the 40-year old virgin' - said when his dad was picking out a car for him), and how he dreams of getting her pants off. Also, the parents say, in effect, “Hey, it's ok if you are masturbating”—said when they walk unexpectedly in their son's room. All of this stuff should send off sirens to any parent who is a Christian. And, if a parent is not concerned, I cannot see how that parent can be a Christian. Do you teens and favor and take them to see another movie.

To everyone who said Evolution is supported by fact. read my "Questions For Evolutionists" thread. I'm sure you'll change your mind. For example:

Where did the space in which evolution occurred come from? And where did the first matter come from?

If you believe it was just always there, that's just as impossible to proove as the existence of God. Both evolutionists and Christians believe the same thing. Christians believe God has just always been there, and evolutionists believe matter and space has always been there. Both are impossible to prove. Except one day, God will be proven. When Christ returns to earth, no one will be able to deny it.

And we Christians don't need or want proof. We have faith. Christ said, "We walk by faith, not by sight."

If we had proof, no one would need fath. And we dont need or want the proof that God is real untill we are in the kingdom of Heaven.

[dad1 believes in a universe where the past was separate and governed by different laws than the present. Here, he attempts to explain how fast light traveled in the "past state"]

My best estimat is that it could get anywhere as fast as God wanted it to, and the need existed. If we needed to see a star, we saw it. Now that is fast!!! But it couls also be slow, if the need was there. Try and homogenize that with this temporary state universe light!!

Yes, and this is why I believe the democrats will run the country. If we are at the end of the end, everything has to get worse then it is. As in the days of Noah... Sodom and Gemorrah... the dems will lead this country right into those days all the way.

What an ugly dark world we will be living in then. The love of many wax cold. A lukewarm church, even more apostacy.

True Christians will be the only light (few and far between). And then when we are removed from the earth, the darkness will consume this earth.
Oh Lord Jesus, please save our loved ones soon!!!

You wouldn't let your kid make his or her own choice about the rightness and wrongness of things like stealing, murder, drugs, or alcohol. Why would you choose not to educate them on something as important as their immortal soul?
