(Thread about a video of Barack Obama having an awkward moment where he seems to lose his train of thought during a speech and stammers a bit):

How can people continue to worship and adore this guy? He is the most pathetic speaker I have ever heard!!!! As others have said, how can he be expected to run a country and make hard decisions if a "lack of sleep" has this affect on him? Good grief, I could probably give a better speech, during a severe asthma attack, (minus the use of the "inhalator") than Obama ---- and that isn't saying much, folks.

I know that there is a God, and he CREATED the world! Scientists now are able to disprove Darwin's theory, though they wish they couldn't. But, yes there is a God! Example : did the house you live in all of a sudden "pop" up? No, someone had to MAKE it. Just like we couldn't all of a sudden "popped" into the world... God had to make/ create us.

(about 2/3 of the way down in the comments. There's more but I figured this was batshit insane enough to call it. BTW read the article - it's a late but pretty funny critique of the creation museum).

If you CAN believe in dinosaurs, why can't I believe in creationism. An idiot calling another an idiot. Get a life. THE MOST STUPID THING ANY MAN CAN BELIEVE IS IN THE STORY OF EVOLUTION. A lucky MONKEY DEVELOPED INTO A MAN WHO CAN THINK, COMMUNICATE, CREATE AND DO OTHER INCREDIBLE THINGS. NEVERTHELESS, it is strange that in the vast animal kingdom there was only one lucky monkey that decided to develope into us. THE OTHER MONKEYS DECIDED TO STAY DUMB. It SOUNDS LIKE CREATIONISM TO ME. IF YOU CONSIDER CREATIONISM DUMB, JUST GO TO A ZOO AND WATCH THE MONKEYS. THERE IS NO TRUE IN THAT WHAT SO EVER. I PREFER TO BELIEVE IN THE CREATIONISM THEORY THAN IN THAT Bullshit BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AROUND YOU AND EXAMINE THE ANIMALS. It IS CLEARLY APPARENT THAT THE ONLY LIVING THINGS WITH REASON ARE HUMANS. THE ONLY REASON ANIMALS HAVE IS THE ONE WE ATTRIBUTE TO THEM. THUS, THE ONLY ONE REASONING THEIR REASONING IS US. ANIMALS DON'T REASON. THUS, CREATIONISM HAS ITS FACTS. It IS NOT all FACTS. It IS TRUE. I believe it SHOULD NOT BE BELIEVE LITERALLY. It IS TRUE. BUT DON'T TRY TO SELL YOUR BS SCIENCE AS PERFECT EITHER. WE HAVE CAR, AIRPLANES, AND KNOW ABOUT THE SUN AND ABOUT THE MOON BECAUSE OF OUR REASON TO SEARCH THAT WHICH IS GREATER THAN US (GOD). PEOPLE who STOP BELIEVING IN GOD BECOME DUMB ANIMALS. It IS STILL NOT PROVEN LITERALLY WHETHER THE EARTH IS NOT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE BECAUSE THE UNIVERSE STILL EXPANDING. THUS, THERE IS NO CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE AS YET. THUS, YOU CAN'T SAY THE EARTH IS OR IS NOT OR WILL NOT BE THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. PEACE.

Even so a theory isn't necessarily fact, and this is true of evolution, which is destroyed by modern science and a bag of lies designed to cause people to not believe in God. And that's why the chambers below the Smithsonian are filled with evidence that the Bible is literally true, which will never see the light of day.

Separate entity from mother. All its chromosomes intact. Grows on its own. It is a child from conception.

There is no such thing as the "anti-choice" movement. Such a name would apply to pro-life if it didn't have anything to do with human right's. The pro-life movement is a pro-human right's movement.

Terms that can be applied. Pro-murderer. Pro-psycho. Pro-infanticide supporter. Anti-compassioners. Pro-okay with making the 'choice' to murder. Pro-deathers. Pro-sick in the head.

You and I don't have the right to murder human beings, therefore that option SHOULD be removed from the table as a "choice." Pro-choice as defined by the pro-abortion movement is an abomination to human rights.

Iris Robinson last night reiterated her controversial comments on homosexuality — as Sinn Fein demanded her resignation as chair of the Assembly's Health Committee.

The DUP MP and MLA, who is under investigation by police, said she had no regrets about describing homosexuality as an "abom- ination" and saying gays needed psychiatric help.

A huge row erupted last week after Mrs Robinson made the remarks in the wake of a homophobic attack.

The born again First Lady said she had a right to express her view and claimed there was a "witch hunt" against Christians.

"I am defending the word of God. I think at the moment there is a witch hunt to kerb or actually stop or prevent Christians speaking out and I make no apology for what I said because it's the word of God. But at the same time I was very careful in saying that I have nothing against any homosexual. I love them; that is what the Lord tells me, to love the sinner and not the sin. And just as a murderer can be redeemed by the blood of Christ so can a homosexual," she told the BBC.

Well, today I had to stay after my college ended in order to finish up a project that's due tomorrow (fun). Everything went fine, I packed up to leave, and went to wash the conte off my hands when something on the table caught my attention. There was a big paper lying on the sink table, with various doodles on it. I saw a cross drawn on there, and thought that was pretty cool, but right near it there was one of those darwin fish. Maybe it's just me, but something about those things just makes me want to take some kind of action as soon as I see one. I always try to tract the vehicles that have those on their bumper, but I couldn't do that in this situation. And since conte isn't really erasable, I couldn't annihilate it . I thought maybe I could alter it in some way instead...
As you can see, I turned the legs into crosses and went with the most obvious choice of composition [crosses]. Just a neat little thing I wanted to share.

Open and close pincher until all you can see it the light in the sky. Now, measure the exact distance of your pincher opening with a Stanley tape measure and multiply by any arbitrary big number. Now, divide in half and call it light years. You'll be about as close as the scientists best guess."
Since theologians are free to create their own criteria of validity, that's not a big surprise. They in effect act as their own umpires.
So says the atheist who lives in a world ultimately governed by chance processes, who redefines chance so that it means something other than chance, and who must admit that the principles of logic are conventions, though uses them to bet his soul -- which doesn't really exist -- that God does not exist, and who acts as if these conventional principles are themselves rational and who also despises with moral indigination, intellectual dishonesty, though both "intellectual" and "dishonesty" are mere conventions and personal preferences from which you express nothing more than a bunch of chemical reactions that have over millions of years evolved to be what they are whether what they are is rational or not, accurate or not, or true or not.

And you suppose that the apologist isn't rational? Rational in your worldview is a bunch of chemical reactions that you bet against all odds just so happens to be truth. No man in his right mind would bet on that unless they had an axe to grind with God. It appears that only atheists fit that bill.

Those that like this idea [impeaching Bush] are either ignorant or misinformed of any absolute truth found in the world and lack a good sense worldview.

We don't live in a vacuum...and there are absolutes...

Thank God for a man like Bush who has stood up to these pressures. God help us in the next 4 years, if America lasts that long.

[Re: Are ouija boards dangerous? Any experiences?]

I played with one. I never thought it was true until recently.

I played it with a friend in the 8th grade. I was 14 at the time. I'm now 20. I asked it questions and it gave me scary answers like my sister's name, my mom's name. I asked it "How many kids will we have, how old will we be when we have kids?" IT answered "2, and then 18". I got pregnant at 18. I just want to let you know that it's scary, and my mom had one and said that she kept throwing it away and it kept coming back.

Be wary, I always thought they were just a joke, but not in my experience!

If you've ever seen the exorcist, you'll know that there's evil out there. That was a true story, and it happened to many people already. If you have faith and believe in God, have ebay refund your money and let the person keep it. You never know if they opened a portal or something. You don't want the karma and bad energy that's associated with someone else's board. Good luck. God bless.

Oh and Krishna never rose from the dead either. Any terms of Krishna being "crucified" or "risen from the dead" are all borrowed from Christian beliefs, as in they were written after Christianity.

I can tell you that evolution is a myth. I realise this every time I watch a wasp/bee/fly/daddy long legs/a.n.other insect try to fly through glass. Again. And again. And again. And - you get my point.

Glass has been around for hundreds of years - so if creatures of this world are evolving, why havent they learnt how to understand glass! Listen wasp, its see through, but its solid, ok?!?!?!! You cant fly through it!!!!!! But they never, ever learn. And therefore they will never "evolve". Because they cant.

Anyway, I think that this is total conclusive ultimate proof that evolution is non-existent.

this song is just one more example of gays indoctrinating our youth. I'm so sick of queers and lezzies trying to force there immoral lifestyle down our throats. and to all of you saying "it's just a fun song" WAKE UP! you're supporting the gay agenda because your to much of a sheep and you just want to be 'cool' and fit in instead of thinking for yourselves and telling the cornholers and carpet munchers that enough is enough.

The theory of evolution is just that, a theory. It has not been proved and it never will be. There is no need to investigate this topic using "science" when it is clearly answered in Genesis. Furthermore, science is a manifestation of the devil fabricated to undermine God and his beautiful gift to all mankind. My advice to you my Christian brother is: Love your god and your country in that order and never doubt the decisions of either.

You'd have to be crazy to do something which you know is forbidden in the Bible, and then like the adulteress, "wipe your mouth and say you have not sinned". Denial of the sinfulness of homosexuality is part of the insanity of it all.

[Just so you know, not everyone believes in your Bible. You'd have to be crazy to believe that everyone does.
Loads of sane people sin. Sex before marriage, murder greed, etc.]

Furthermore, it is a development disorder which begins in early childhood. Attempts to consider it "normal" are politically and ideologically motivated.

Homosexuality comes from unhappiness within the family and leads to further unhappiness when embraced. It's like a facial defect (such as a cleft palate) which could be corrected with plastic surgery.

Gay rights activists complain that society's refusal to accept them as they are and to okay their sexual activities, is the only thing that stops them from being happy. But this is a foolish falsehood. Within the "gay community", the murder rate is high, The murder rate is 15 times higher among homosexuals than heterosexuals. and even in "gay enclaves" like Provincetown, Massachusetts where there is no societal disapproval at all the rates for depression, suicide, Since homosexuals have greater numbers of partners and breakups, compared with heterosexuals, and since longterm gay male relationships are rarely monagamous, it is hardly surprising if suicide attempts are proportionally greater. drug abuse, etc. are much higher than normal.

Homosexuality is not a normal way of being. It was not created or intended by God. It is a sin and a mental illness
