My husband framed our marriage license when we recieved it in the mail, I was very touched because he did that. It is still in the same frame, and always will be. After I heard the news about legalized gay marriage, I just happened to look at my marriage license and my heart sank, it was as though it was stripped of it's value. Marriage is sacred and holy, instituted by God Himself, and the world is destroying it.

Why is it that ALL of the clever drawings of our 'ancestors' are brown? Does this by any chance have anything at all to do with non-whites being less than human? Please explain your stance to my African brothers and sisters, then to the Aborigines in Australia, then to every single other non-European in the world. Please explain how your World view is different to Hitler's.
Now please read Acts 17:26 to see that God made from one man, every nation of mankind.

There might not be a physical persecution (yet) going on in North America, but there is a persecution of sorts. Christianity is being attacked.

- The Ten Commandments are being removed from court rooms
- Crosses are removed from public buildings
- Prayer is being removed from schools and government
- Words like 'Christmas' and holiday season is being replaced by words like 'winter's day' and so on

“They were theists, which means that in the context of this thread, they are included in the category ‘religious murders’ as opposed to ‘atheist murders’.” – Synner

The Baron Response:

Speaking of “broadening definitions”…

I am aware that the Romans were pagans but I am simply curious as to how they are “theists”?

Once again, explain.

By way of concession, if you would like to include Islam in your category of “religious murders” then I welcome you in doing so.

Always glad to help, ya know!

But you may wish to check Zakath’s original post. He specifically mentions “Christians” (although the article he posted does not).

I have simply been defending Christians by posting the rather obvious barbarism of atheistic / non-Christian states as supported by facts.

An Iranian court has sentenced a man to one year in prison after police arrested him last year for collecting signatures in a Tehran park in support of women's rights, his lawyer said Sunday.

Amir Yaghoub-Ali, a twenty-two year-old student, was found guilty on May 25 of endangering national security and spreading propaganda.

Yaghoub-Ali's signature campaign was in support of the larger One Million Signatures Campaign, protesting Iran's interpretation of Sharia law under which women must obtain a male guardian's permission to work or travel, are prohibited from serving as judges, and have their court testimony given only half the value of a man's.

Yaghoub-Ali's lawyers plan to appeal.

About hell, I saw this on a response so I thought I'd share some thoughts on it. This is based on my understanding of Scripture....

No, it's not just the "incorporeal soul" that will be tormented. After we die, the souls of the wicked will go to a holding tank called "Hades," where they will suffer some form of spiritual torment. This torment is a foretaste of hell, but is not the same as the Lake of Fire in Revelation.

At the resurrection, God will raise both the wicked and the dead to life and will give them immortal bodies. Those who trusted Christ for salvation will spend eternity in Heaven with Him. However, those who rejected Christ will be raised and consigned to hell. They will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire in a physical, immortal body, which will be subject to eternal torture. That body will be burned, but it will not be consumed or destroyed, because it is immortal. Does that make sense?

Some theologians hold that the righteous will actually be able to see the wicked. I personally hope that God doesn't let me see this when I die, because I have had friends and loved ones who have gone to hell and I do not want to see them be punished. But if that's God's will, I'm sure I will have a full and complete understanding when I'm with Him in heaven, and I will understand both his mercy and his justice.

Just a word of warning - I successfully discipled my family into understanding the times we're in...too well, perhaps.

My view is that the rapture will happen in the very near future. My 17 year old son had been a brilliant student in elementary and middle school, however, I convinced him of my rapture understanding. Suddenly, his grades plummeted. He lost all interest in doing his school work. Basically, his attitude is...why bother. I've been working for months to correct his understanding, but to no avail.

We live in the area too. My husband has worked at Disney (he does construction) and we know other christians who also worked there. All couldn't take it! There ARE many many gay/lesbians working there!

Disney's Gay Days has been going on for years now. This is not some new thing. All of Orlando celebrates as well! Orlando is decorated for Gay Days (which is already going on right now. It's not just one day!). There are rainbow flags flying throughout the streets! Orlando also has their GAY PARADE march with floats and all through Orlando!

As far as "touchy feely" goes, this is what gets me! Even when our kids were younger and we'd take them to Disney, there would always be gays there and they'd be VERY openly touchy feely. They are always that way!! IT TOTALLY ANGERS ME! Try explaining to a 4 year old why 2 men are kissing and touching each others bottoms right in front of your family of 4 small children as you're waiting in line to get on a ride.

Straight people are not touchy feely like that. Straight people are not congregating in public parks and public restrooms to commit disgusting acts either. There is a spirit that controls these people and I'm convinced of that.

DISNEY DISGUSTS ME and we haven't been there since Gay Days began. I'll NEVER go there again!

Walt maybe wouldn't approve of this stuff, but he did have some issues as well. He belonged to the Masonic lodge. And WHY does everything focus on witches, dragons, magic, fairies, voodoo, etc... dark mystical things which are sooo far from God's Holy Word.

So children can "develope a good imagination" I'm told. Which also goes totally against God's Word, which warns us to take complete control of our thoughts.

In his sermon, "The Final Dictator," [Pastor John] Hagee described the Antichrist as a seductive figure with "fierce features." He will be "a blasphemer and a homosexual," the pastor announced. Then, Hagee boomed, "There's a phrase in Scripture used solely to identify the Jewish people. It suggests that this man [the Antichrist] is at least going to be partially Jewish, as was Adolph Hitler, as was Karl Marx."

This "fierce" gay Jew, according to Hagee, would "slaughter one-third of the Earth's population" and "make Adolph Hitler look like a choirboy."

Anytime someone mention a word about your culture, you get offensive. You have no respect for any other culture but yours. I think you should conduct some research to find out how many 'born and raised' gays are there in Gambian, guarantee you will find the answer as, 0. All gays and lesbians are from other nation. The president believes Islamic law should rule Gambia, but because of his loving and kindness for the people, it is not. You don’t have to believe Gambian president cures HIV. I just came from there and I know just as all other witnesses, that his cure for HIV is legit. If you really want to find out the truth, I think you should go there instead of bickering about the shit. He is blessed with something scientists and doctors spend their entire life trying to discover and they could not. Pharmaceutical companies want to criminalize the president just to ensure that no one gets the cure for HIV/AIDS unless the discovery is from their laboratory. This is the honest truth.

You have hit the nail on the head, my friend.

Essentially if someone tells you they are an Atheist, then what they are really telling you is that deep, deep down in their Soul they believe that they are God and you and everyone else are merely figments of their demented imagination.

The Atheists and Materialists are looking for a “Theory of Everything” They want to reduce the universe down to a math equation. The problem is that once they succeed they discover that math equation has been running in their subconscious mind and has been generating the universe all around them all along!

[Another Funny Fundie: It's funny how you will NOT accept God without proof, but you will accept other things without proof.]

Or ask them why they believe that flipped coins ALWAYS land TAILS up.

They claim it is because there is no evidence the coin will land HEADs up, but that doesn’t make any sense to me???

Quote# 40417

"...Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea." -John 21:7

I was reading the Bible the other day and a thought occurred to me as I read this Scripture. Peter didn't have a problem being naked around the other disciples; but he immediately went to put his clothes on when he saw Jesus. So much can be said about this situation. This is what happens when Christians wander away from the Lord--the clothes start coming off! This is why country singer, Faith Hill, who testifies of having grown up in a good Christian home, has already posed twice in Playboy magazine! Despite her claim of being spiritual, Faith Hill needs to see Jesus. Do you think Jesus would look at a Playboy magazine? Do you think Jesus, who condemned lust in Matthew 5:28, would approve of Faith Hill posing sensually in a dirty pornographic magazine? Of course NOT! It's just a fact, nudity and heathendom go together. When a lost sinner believes upon the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive his sins, a change takes place in that man's heart. As a believer grows in the Lord, and draws nearer to God, the clothes go back on! Peter didn't even have to think twice ... when he heard that the Lord was present, he put his clothes back on! What a needful lesson for Christians today.

I recall a related Scripture back in Genesis 3:7 ... "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons." Adam and Eve were convicted about their nakedness. Biblically, nudity is a SIN.

[I don't think I want to be around when he finds out about Christian naturists...]

Quote# 40462

So a fossil that has characteristics of both salamanders and frogs is a transitional fossil? How do you know that it's not a specie unto itself? What we'd like to see is not an apparent one-shot fossil, but a sequence of transitional forms. Show me a pre-T. rex and some of the transistional forms between it and the final T. rex (or any other specie). The reality is that you don't see this, what you see is long periods of relative stability, interspersed with very short periods of sudden change. That's what the fossil record shows, not slow changes. Now, keep in mind that I'm an Old Earth Creationist, so I believe that this universe is billions of years old and that life did come about in an orderly fashion of development. I just believe that mathematical improbability of random evolution is so huge that there has to be a guiding intelligence behind this development.

I agree with you, suzyqueue. No matter what, the gay lifestyle will never be accepted by the majority. Simply because, it is not normal and it is offensive. This is not, Just my opinion. This I know to the depths of my inner being, and that is never wrong. Keep this lifestyle off of the streets, and indoctrination of it out of the public school system, and not having a few court judges write laws, that counter the votes of the majority of voters, and I will not have a problem with it.
