Quote# 44045

We have a shofar in our home. We had just finished watching a DVD about the Book of Revelation and I had gone on to bed while my husband stayed up for a little while longer. I was just about to fall asleep and I hear a trumpet sound. My heart skipped a beat or two and then I realized it was my husband practicing on the shofar in preparation for the Feast of Trumpets. I can't wait to hear the real trumpet sound.

I have found myself looking towards the sky a lot lately. For no reason I'll pull back the shades and and just look up at the sky. I haven't had any hightened senses in the physical realm, but my spirit has been hightened big time.

LOL at the posts about wearing clean underwear and such. I shared with my Bible study group last night that I need new dentures, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $2000+ for something that's going to be left behind. We all feel that the rapture is very soon and agreed that as long as I wasn't having major problems with my present choppers then there really wasn't an urgency to get new ones. I think I'll use the $2000 to pay off a couple of bills before I get out of here.

I'm so glad I can come here and share stuff like this.

Sometimes the truth hurts. Its like a medicine, tastes bitter but it makes you well. For me, that's the way things supposed to be between a man and his wife. They wouldn't openly admit it, but women does enjoy getting spanked. They love it when a man disciplines her. The funny thing is, they will never mention to her man that they love what he had done to her. Usually, she would just cry and ask for it to stop but deep inside her she wish that he never stops.

Quote# 44047

The supremacy of Christianity over all other faiths is not based on arrogance. It is simply based on facts. If your house were to catch on fire, what do you think would be superior at extinguishing the flames--water or gasoline? They are both liquids, but one is obviously better suited to quench the fire.

God has plainly said that Christianity is superior to all other faiths. There is no coming together for the sake of love and understanding. Many liberal churches try to use the fight against racial hatred as an excuse for forming alliances with other faiths. The Christians who resist the unity movement are called intolerant.

The only intolerance we need to worry about is God's abhorrence of sin. If people reject Jesus Christ's gift of salvation, they will simply end up eternally lost.

"Opening up restrooms and locker rooms to anyone 'claiming' a different gender than the one he or she was born with is simply an invitation for Peeping Toms and sexual predators to take advantage of the chaos to endanger women and children," said Bruce Hausknecht, judicial analyst for Focus on the Family Action. "Appeasing the gender confusion of a few at the expense of public safety is an insane purpose for such legislation, and one that society should vehemently reject."

I am confused,,,,my niece went to a bible study and I was very proud of her,,,,but when I found out it wasnt "bible study" at all but a study of the "purpose driven life" book, I was very dissapointed! Is this the new age way? I love reading the bible, its the only book we need to study as Christians.

NOTE: The person who is saying this is not a fundie, but the story is about one. The thread is about stupid things you have heard people say.

"Oh, another one.

I was about 8 years old. It was during some Christian bible study thing (was in a private school and it was compulsory). Anyway she was talking about Adam and Eve and continued on about how everything was perfect, and explained the animals that were in there.

I put my hand up and asked "What about the dinosaurs, why did they die? And where did they fit in?"

She looked at me dumbfounded and said "There's a very good answer to that!" She then stalled and continued talking about how if you don't have total blind faith you'll go to hell etc.. I then interrupted and said:

"What's the reason?"

She then called me a smart ??? and sent me to the back of the room for the rest of the lesson.

Just remember, on September 29th, at sundown, you may actually hear some trumpets and some shouts, as more and more people are signing on to join the Feast of Trumpets celebration, by going outside at sundown, blowing whatever you have that comes close to a shofar and shouting to the Lord. It is going to be our way of saying 'Come, Lord Jesus, we are ready'. If you don't have any kind of horn to blow, you could maybe record the sound of a shofar and play that! My neighbors, which aren't many, will probably think I have finally flipped my wig, so to speak, but hey, do I care? Nope

Quote# 44037

[Mr. Barber is back to unleash a hate-filled fundy diatribe against McDonalds.]

But perhaps most damaging is that McDonald's is now publicly supporting counterfeit "same-sex marriage," despite the fact that, according to a March 2007 CBS/New York Times poll, only 28 percent of Americans believe same-sex pairs should be allowed legally to marry. As far as bad business decisions go, this one's a real whopper (sorry for the mixed metaphor). This has, no doubt, made shareholders grimace … (OK, I'll stop).

Still, same-sex "marriage" is a contradiction in terms. It's a bizarre bastardization of legitimate marriage. It both mocks and undermines the genuine article. Marriage is a fundamental building block to any healthy society. If you introduce counterfeit money into commerce, the dollar is devalued. If you introduce counterfeit marriage into society, true marriage is devalued and society is harmed. Yet McDonald's has now thrown its full weight, brand name and presently tarnished reputation behind the push for "gay marriage" in all 50 states.

If you take time to write McDonald's and inquire as to why the company has betrayed a majority percentage of its customers, you'll get a condescending, cutesy and self-aggrandizing form letter that takes about 350 words to say absolutely nothing. It's built upon euphemistic talking points, spoon-fed by homosexual activist pressure groups such as the NGLCC and the anti-Christian "Human Rights Campaign." It goes a little like this: "At McDonald's we respect and value everyone … blah, blah, blah … Diversity … blah, blah … Inclusion … yada, yada … We have a long and proud history of leadership … blah, blah, (gag!)" You know the drill.

However, when McDonald's steps up to the mic to address the media, a veritable rainbow of true colors is revealed. While referring to customers with traditional family values, spokesman Bill Whitman regurgitated this little McNugget to The Washington Post: "Hatred has no place in our culture." Nice job, Bill. I'm sure the hundreds of millions of customers you've just smacked down with this little insult are itchin' for a Happy Meal now.

Get it? If you happen to support the historical definition of marriage - which is, and has always been, male-female - then you're a drooling, inbred hatemonger. This kind of rhetoric is right out of the left's PC handbook. It's an intellectually bankrupt cop out intended to avoid legitimate debate. When you're getting your tail whipped, you lob personal attacks.

So, the truth is McDonald's definition of "diversity" doesn't really mean diversity after all. The company has wholeheartedly bought into that euphemistic notion of "diversity" pushed by liberal elites - a paradoxical model for "inclusion" that only swings one way. So when you hear McDonald's talk about "diversity," what they're really feeding you is warmed-over, anti-Christian bigotry in a cheap, thin wrapper.

Ok then let me use another scenario. A computer when it was first created was not so great. Then over the years they got better till now and will probably get even better. Without useing any quantum physics I can figure that many people had to use thier thought and energy to create it and make it better. I think God used his thought and energy to make all creatures including the apes and I think he created us uniquely. All the cool creatures out there prove God is very smart and powerful. I feel I would be insulting God by believing that I evolved rather that came about by his unique design skills. That is my opinion and I didn't have to insult you to get it across. And you don't need to respond because all your knowledge will never convince me otherwise. Especially how your coming off like that, I just don't want to hear it.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out to any STRAIGHT aspies (are there any here?) that just because this thread has and this board seems to have a hardcore homosexual slant, doesnt mean you have to be gay. You dont have to tolerate acts that violate the laws of god or nature just because this form of heathen debauchery suits some fudge packin' jack tart with a big stretched out mouth. (see I can call names too)

I have to assume that there are those here among us who would use Aspergers (or peoples lack of friends, social ties, whatever) to take advantage and attempt some "conversion" or sick and twisted "male bonding".. so watch your ass. You can get women. You dont have to settle for hairy cheeks.

Quote# 44035

n California, gay activists are pulling out all the stops as the state prepares to vote on a marriage-protection amendment.

Originally, the ballot initiative's summary statement explained that the amendment simply defined marriage as between a man and a woman. Now, it also states that the amendment will "eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry."

Several groups, including the Alliance Defense Fund, filed an emergency lawsuit Tuesday to delete the negative and misleading additions from the ballot.

Bruce Hausknecht, judicial analyst for Focus on the Family Action, said the attempts by California and Massachusetts to impose same-sex "marriage" on the nation will result in legal chaos.

"Those 48 other states and their courts are forced to deal with fallout from exported same-sex 'marriages,' like divorce, alimony, child support, estates and other issues," he said. "They will be addressing issues they are not equipped to deal with, except in a traditional marriage context."

How many times have you picked up your cell phone to call the police to report the murder of a pre-born and wound up on some sex line because secular cell phone companies care more about promoting filth than giving you good, smut-free service? How many times have you got a text message asking if you’d like to perform some lewd and indecent act? If you’re as tired of it as I am, then there’s real good news – introducing The American Center for Law and Justice cell phone service company! That’s right, Jay Sekulow’s ACLJ is now offering Christian cell phone service at competitive rates AND when you subscribe, you’re helping to stop homos, Satanists, lie-berals, pedophiles and other members of the Democrat party from gaining a further foothold in the United States of America because part of the price goes to fund the American Center for Law And Justice. So if you’re tired of getting your cell phone calls routed by Satan, then get on over to www.ACLJwireless.com and you’ll never have to talk to a homo again!

There's a big First Baptist Church in my city that had plans to build a BIGGER church 2 years ago. I mean they had pretty much everything locked up-the funds, agreements with city leaders over the land, etc.

However-after 6 months or so of a sign saying "Future sight of our First Baptist Church" on some land near our house, that sign hasn't been seen since, and that piece of land is still nothing but growing grass. No workers, cement, grass cut w/ mud and dirt all over the place, or even a single blueprint.

Obviously, this church scratched their plans to build a new and bigger church.
It shouldn't have had anything to do with money, b/c like I said, the funds for it were already in the bag. And their agreements with contractors, city leaders, et al were locked in stone as well.

Pt being that maybe, JUST MAYBE, God may have gave discernment to that pastor to not to do so...for the reason being IF we're approaching the end times, then building a new church would have been unecessary.

Just a thought that hit me today, that's all.
