Test the spirits. Obama speaks of several in his speech that calls us to a one world government of socialism and no tolerance for "childish" things like having our own opinions as only his way WILL BE DONE. Several times he is commanding in tone that it will be done; no discussion. He wants to be leader of the world, he is handing over our military for slaughter to appease the Muslims, and our government will take over farms for food production for the world, freedom of speech is only for the tolerant, and it will be hateful and illegal to proclaim God's word that people are sinners destined for hell without Christ, the only way. Read the warnings God gave to Israel when they asked for a king. I believe we are repeating that part of scripture now. Our nation has totally rejected God as our king and God gave us Obama to judge us.

So trying to get to god or not through your head (intellect, brain, words, argument, logic, discussion) is like trying to hear music with your eyes. Wrong tool for the job. It's through your heart and emotions and feelings, it is not experienced through words or books or discussions.

[Why doesn't God heal amputees?]

This is one of those horrible atheist smart alec questions that crops up from time to time (as in daily). I don't mean any offense to you, but surely you didn't think this was in any way original do you?

My most logical answer to this is quite simply, if it wasn't part of gods plan for said amputee to be an amputee, they wouldn't be. Thus restoring the severed limb is pointless, since clearly god had a plan that was being carried out by removing a limb and god has a reason they are an amputee. Reward for their suffering and faith will come later.

Kind of simple really.

Science never interested me because all I saw it doing was trying to disprove God, anyways if you want to watch some stuff on creationism since you know everything about evolution check out Dr. Dino AKA Dr. Hovind and he will explain how the Bible proves evolution is a farce.

Man needed someone to see how much he could lift and to say "My you are strong". But there was no one, Maybe he took a lap around the garden and there was no one to say.."Wow, you are the fastest runner I know!" God made woman to sit on the sidelines and cheer when a man succeeds. God made a woman to sit in the audience while her husband preaches and say. "That’s the best preacher in the world". That is why God made woman. He made her to be man's help meet. God made woman for man! The word "help meet" means "completer." Like finishing a circle...a completion. No, God didn't see a child needing care and say "I'm going to send somebody down to take care of that child". He didn't say "that baby needs a diaper change, I'll create someone to take care of that". Nor did He say "there's a dirty house, I'll send someone to clean". And as much as we would like to believe this He didn't say, "I'm going to send her down for man to love and protect". God didn't send you down to be helped; God sent you down to help.

Quote# 57118

Human reproduction serves to create new human beings and with these human beings comes a soul. The soul appears with the person at the moment of conception, making him a complete human being from the very start. This is why abortion is considered murder: the abortionist has rent the soul from a living human body, the soul being the source of a full life for human beings. If there was no soul present in the human at the time of conception and it entered the body at some later stage, then until that moment the fetus would hypothetically be nothing more than an animated body, similar to how animals and plants are alive but without souls. Thus, if this were the case, abortion would not be murder, but rather a termination of a non-human entity, at least until the soul finally joined the body. However, there is no evidence that the soul can enter the body at any time later than conception. Since the soul is intrinsic to human beings, it absolutely must be present at conception and therefore abortion is murder.

[Re: Can science explain miracles?]

To some extent, yes.
Some time ago (I forget the exact details) two scientists tested the parting of the Red Sea. They put water in a funnel (that looked a lot like the Red Sea) and passed a magnet under and around it. The water parted.
They came to the conclusion that the Red Sea could not have parted because where would you get a magnet that big?
Of course, since God has virtually unlimited power, he could have employed any type of magnetism he wanted.

Just a question, Starbuck. Why do Christians frequently end their posts with threats such as this? Out days are numbered? Are you threatening our lives? Or implying that we're going to get struck down by your all mighty? This is the biggest mystery of Christians to me is the threats.

Good grief, No I am not threatening you. I don't even know you... never met. Even if we did, I wouldn't threaten bodily harm upon anyone. Unless of course they tried to do me harm, then they wouldn't be threats (If I was able of course!).

Based upon my beliefs, you will feel the wrath of God. I know, I know.. you say silly and stupid and immoral. I say truth. One day, we will either both know for sure, or we will both know nothing (knowing nothing is your belief.).

I have nothing against you. I just love to poke fun at the damned from time to time. I know, kind of childish. Well I have argued with athiests and to not one would listen. So now I have resorted to picking on them. Kind of like how a child rips the legs off spiders. It's rather humorus.

(spaces added by me to break up big block of text)

There are no words in the human language to express the devastation I feel today. I am sick, sick, sick with grief and mourning in my spirit.

I am at work right now, but I could not even turn my television on today, or check fox news online like I normally do. I guess I just don't want to believe that Obama is actually President.

I couldn’t even sleep last night and I kept waking up out of my sleep praying in my spirit. I have never felt the sense of impending doom and dread that I am experiencing right now.

It feels like the end of the United States of America as we know it. I keep crying. I feel like there has been a death in my family, the death of my beloved country. What will I do now? Where will I go?

There is no other country for me but the greatest country in the history of this world, my country, America. I think about how our great Nation was founded by God's divine providence, by God fearing men who loved the Lord, who fought and died for our freedom.

How did we get here as a nation? Has America turned its back on God? Is it too late for our nation to turn from our wicked ways and repent before God? In my opinion, Obama is an enemy of God, America and families and nothinb but a Manchurian candidate elected for the sole purpose of destroying the very country that he hates. He is nothing but a pawn of the wicked one.

I pray that people will wakeup and realize the perilous times we are in and repent before it is too late. Please pray for me because I can't stop crying even though I know that God is still on the throne and in control.

[In response to someone pointing out that creationists either go completely silent or avoid the question by insulting people when faced with criticism for their ideas.]

Evolutionists believe that ALL matter everywhere in the Universe came from a small
highly compressed speck approx. the size of the head of a pin that decide to 'blow up' and
become........well, us and everything thing else?

wow

That takes a lot more faith than Religious people have.....

Let me ask you these things.

Why in all these 'billions and billions' of years did that Big Bang
happen only once?

Why has only one intelligent species evolved over the 'billions' of years evolutionist say
we have been here? Surely others would have paralleled us in all that time

Why, in all these billions of years, did North America remain civilly unpopulated, except
for a few nomadic tribes, until a few hundred years ago?

[After being given reasonable, well-thought-out answers...]

You know, it's easy to read you. As I review the responses that you give people, you spout nothing but nonsensical rhetoric and claim victory.

I'm doubting you even took the time to review any link that you were provided, you spouts facts that have nothing to do with the actual response you were given. It seem to me that it's you who "tucks tail and runs" from the actual debate.
I can see why people would get tired of a debate with a 12 year old.
I am leaving for now to go to church. Would love to have you join me.........if you aren't afraid of that too.

You have a good one, my friend

I'm disgusted with all evolutionist, because they refuse to see the truth, or even look into with an open eye (though i'm sure everyone of you will claim you have) but if you did, you would see the truth. but honest people are slowly departing from the old and limited theory of evolution ( by the way...where are all these links between species? its almost funny at your lack of evidence!) For those of you out there that do not believe there is a God, how do you think the miracle of those people on the plane that crashed into the Hudson, lived? There is no way that those people could have survived if there is no God. He was truely looking after them.

All through history, slavery has been an accepted form of servitude. The Bible set good and fair guidelines for it. Jesus told His disciples that the reason that Moses gave them a way to divorce was because of the hardness of their hearts. It is the same with these laws. They were humane ways to handle the situation under the circumstances. Jesus gave us the ability to see these things from His perspective.

"This is a HISTORIC MOMENT!"

...Why, because a black man got elected? SO WHAT? They were electing black politicians in the deep south in the 1860s and 70s! And call it a hunch, I suspect it was because they were QUALIFIED, and not because they were BLACK.

It's not a historic triumph, but a historic tragedy, that America elected a president almost entirely because of the color of his skin and in spite of the content of his character. He got there by milking racial division and by attacking and silencing anyone who questioned his past or his politics by accusing them of racism. This isn't a glorious step forward, it's Jesse Jackson race-baiting politics-as-usual.

"It's a historic moment!" .... yeah, so was the Reichstag fire.

I'm pretty pissed right now. I don't know how well you all follow the news, but I'm guessing most of you have seen or read about the plane that had an emergency landing in the Hudson yesterday.

The television announcers are repeatedly saying that it was so fortunate that nobody died. Fuck that, and fuck them. At least two murders occurred. Not just accidental deaths, but murders! I think serious attention needs to be drawn to the fact that it is definitely, most assuredly murder. It is callous and uncaring murder for the sake of profits and convenience. Many, many cultures define murder as killing that has nothing to do with survival. The Hebrew translations of the Bible say as much. The deaths of these birds, which happens daily and in large numbers, serves to feed nobody, and you can sure as Hel bet that these murdering airline companies don't work to preserve and better fowl habitats. No bellies are being filled with goose meat from these poor creatures tonight, while so many human people starve and eat poisonous filth. This the perfect example of the natural world being ground down in the machines of civilization, in this case quite literally.
