Galileo isn't a clear-cut case. He was more of a political figure who was wrong about some basic stuff (like tides). His own contributions were not substantial.

You know how abortion apologists often claim that abortion is a difficult "heart-wrenching" decision for a woman, and they deeply understand the troubling consequences?

It's a load of crap. They don't believe any of it. It's just crocodile sympathy to give them the appearance of giving a damn. In the end, it's all about sexual gratification without consequences, and Big Abortion's lust for blood money.

Anyways, to the topic of Kent Hovind, I don't know any "facts" as I did not do the investigation, prosecution, defending, or deliberating, or was involved in any way and I know none of you people have either unless you can prove it otherwise. What makes you people have any right to say anything? It would be like if your pants slipped off when you were tying up the cow's leg to prevent it from kicking the milk bucket and your wife walked in. Well guess who knows for a fact what happend?

"Homosexual conduct is illegal in NC (even after Lawrence V Texas). We arrest 250 homosexuals each year in Mecklenburg alone for either a ‘crime against nature’ or ‘solicitation of a crime against nature’. Unlike prostitution (exchanging money), even suggesting homosexual sex is a criminal offense in NC. If we were all that ‘progressive’ would we be arresting 250 homosexuals a year? Setting up sting operations to de-infest areas where they congregate? Point is, if you want to delude yourself that homosexual conduct is ‘ok’ go ahead. The law, the police and the DA however have a different view." —North Carolina city commissioner Bill James, who was caught on tape remarking "Your son is a homo?" to a colleague during a domestic partnerships debate, in an email written to a Charlotte resident. If you thought he'd opt to apologize for these comments, he won't be:
"I think that if you’re someone who is homosexual and you believe that you are born that way and have every right to engage in that behavior, I think the offensive thing, I would surmise, is not the word ‘infest’ or ‘de-infest’ but the fact that the police are actually doing the sting operations," he tells Q Notes when asked to explain his comments. "We can parse words — what phrase should I have used? But the central question for most people is not what particular term got used but whether the action was occurring. Was I accurate in saying there are these sting operations going on and those sting operations — whatever term you want to use — target homosexual men? That is why the county took and spent significant amounts of money to rework the park to take out certain landscaping things to prevent, once the sting operations cleared them out, prevent them from re-congregating — or re-infesting if you use my original term. … When someone trots out Lawrence v. Texas, I trot out the arrest statistics. I say if Lawrence v. Texas is the law of the land, why are there all these arrests? And that ends the discussion usually."

The god of Mohammedism is not the God of the Bible by any stretch of the imagination. It is a little pantheistic god of nature. Because of this, the Islam religion accepts evolution very readily as a scientific fact because it fits so well with their teaching. In the country of Turkey (which is almost totally dedicated to Mohammed) evolution is taught as fact. [Emphasis added]

[From a news article regarding a fundy woman who stalked a couple because she believed the wife was a witch]

During sometimes bizarre testimony, Andreyko, who represented herself at trial, claimed she was a prophet called upon by the "Holy Spirit" to send religious-themed letters to the Lower Pottsgrove couple. In the letters and in court, Andreyko called the woman "a powerful witch" and "Jezebel" and said she was instructing the woman's husband that he was being "deceived" by a witch.

"A marriage to a witch is forbidden by God. If a witch used witchcraft to gain a husband her marriage and her children are not valid," Andreyko said during her closing statement to jurors, arguing that labeling her a stalker "blasphemes" the role the Holy Spirit gave her.

Andreyko, who claimed to be the daughter of a onetime pastor, described herself as someone who rescues Bibles, claiming to have 500 of them in her home. Andreyko also rambled for more than hour about the end of the world, Halloween, the right to bear arms and the Constitution.

Obama’s True Color.

All you have to do to see the true color of Der Fuhrer is to monitor his actions. He consistently acts in favor of dictators, Communists and Muslims.

1. Because he hates Christianity, like all Muslims, he refused to join in our National Day of Prayer.
2. But he prayed with a group of Muslims in the Capital.
3. He refused to say anything that might encourage freedom-lovers in Iran after the phony election and probably has caused the death of hundreds of protesters. But, a Muslim dictator who came to power via a fixed election isn’t going to say anything bad about a Muslim dictator who came to power via a fixed election!
4. He refused to appear at the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. (He was probably in mourning.)
5. He is friendly toward Communist dictators, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez
6. Because he hates Jews, like all Muslims, he is working toward the destruction of Israel

This is our President: a Communist, a Muslim, a Totalitarian who intends to overthrow our Constitution and install himself as a lifetime dictator and turn Americans into slaves.

No! I’m not a racist...I don’t like his white half either!

Some twenty years of investigating claims that the the Earth rotates on an axis and orbits the Sun, and that the universe began evolving 15 billion years ago and is 15 billion light years thick, have left me without the slightest doubt:
a) That The Earth Is Not Moving;
b) That the Bible’s repeated declarations that it is the Sun that moves and not the Earth are absolutely accurate;
c) That the Big Bang Model ruling today’s cosmology is handcuffed to the Copernican Heliocentricity Model;
d) That both of these Models are built solely on contra-scientific assumptions held together by occult mathematics and fraudulent use of computerized technology
e) That those deceptive and vulnerable assumptions now undergird the entirety of modern man’s "knowledge"
f) That both the Heliocentricity and the Big Bang Models represent the fulfillment of a "creation scenario" of Kabbalic Judaism masquerading as "science"
g) That the purpose of this hidden religious agenda has been to destroy the "creation scenario" of the Bible and thereby destroy the credibility of the rest of the Bible right on through Jesus and the New Testament....
h) That the time for all who love truth over deception to give this issue their most careful and prayerful attention is now. This is especially true for all Christians who realize that their religion stands or falls on the the restoration of the absolute credibility of the Bible. This Biblical non-moving Earth issue alone can force that restoration and expose all the lies now connected with evolution-based false science (I Tim. 6:20,21).

I recently re-watched it and was absolutely appalled. To start with, the whole thing is based on Greek mythology, with Ariel's father King Triton based on Triton, a Greek god. Why should any Christian child watch a movie with a 'good' character who is based on a demonic being?

you are using earth bound measurements, assuming that they work in the heavens as they work on earth, but that is not the way God did make the universe.
Once you get outside earth, you're dealing with "forces" called "winds/powers" in Enoch, which exist in the stretched out heavens. So NASA scientists can fuel up a space ship and send it out into a target in space, using their formulas, but they aren't really dealing with distance as on earth, but with "power/force".

2. Alzheimers.

[A review of Lilo and Stitch]

First of all from the movie previews I thought this would be a movie about a loveable little alien. I was immediately caught off guard by the way the movie started a mad scientist playing God creates a diabolical Misfit, experiment 626 or 6(66) deliberately pronounced six two six. From a christian perspective this immediately put me on High alert. Six two six, soul purpose is to destroy. Sounds like the AntiChrist to me. I am extremely offended by anyone altering or the cloning of cells and the reference to 6(66) appalls me. The movie is almost appears to me a forefront to the actual appearance of the antichrist and through its deceptive analogy. Leads us the viewers that something created to be devious can turn out to be good and That modify the gene pool is okay. I believe that these people who write and produce these movies are in league with the devil and are subtly trying to change the way we are influenced and think.

This is a bumper sticker sold by evolutionists, for theistic evolutionists. Notice the words: "I believe". I believe = having faith. For when something has been proven, belief (to believe) is not needed. So this bumper sticker actually admits to evolution requiring faith. And since evolutionists sell it, they admit to it as well. Evolutionists claim that religion and evolution is a oxymoron. But they just keep making that religious connection.

Side note: Time Magazine (sept. 2006 issue) recently did a special article on our origins (cosmic evolution). The name of that article was: "Let there be light". I wonder why a non-religious, government funded, organization. Would use a religious quote right from a religious book? Regardless of how much they deny it, it's looking more and more like a religion.

Now, moving right along here there are some disturbing doctrines within the religion of atheism that are cause for concern. It has been brought up repeatedly that since atheism teaches that humans are nothing more than animals, it would be completely acceptable for one human being to eat another if it was a matter of life and death. I believe the theological word for this doctrine is CANNIBALISM! This acceptance of cannibalism as a religious tenet really does confirm the old saying, “If you remove God from academia the best one could ever hope to achieve is to end up with highly educated barbarians”. The acceptance of the doctrine of cannibalism into the religion of atheism is the fulfillment of that statement.

[To the question of being able to see stars millions of lightyears away if the universe is only a few thousand years old. Someone else says that for God to just make it that way would be deceptive]

The theory does not insinuate that God is deceptive. In Genesis, he talks to Abraham about his descendants and how they will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. What if God made the stars like that, not to deceive humans in any way, but to use them for His own purpose, such as using them as a metaphor? (By the way, how is making rays of light any form of deception? How are we being "tricked" by this creation?)

First the Bible says that ALL land dwelling animals were on the ark. Dinosaurs were land dwelling animals so they went on the ark. There were only two of each animal or seven of the clean. After the animals came off the ark, the dinosaurs came with them. After that the dinosaurs died. Animals go extinct all the time so that is nothing unusual. Maybe the harsh conditions after the flood made it hard for them to survive and find food. However I do believe that the dinosaur fossils that we find are a result of the global flood.

Totally agree.
Ought to be imposed in the UK too, asap.
Bring back some respectable family values.
Why do we have to suffer 'gay pride' festivals ?
Would I be allowed to organise a 'straight pride' festival ?
No, thought as much !!

If homosexuality is natural, as we are forced to believe, how can they sustain the species ? I suggest all gays are put on a remote island somewhere and left for a generation - afterwhich, theoretically there shoild be none left !

Whatever they feel for each other, it certainly isn't love. Perverted lust is more like it. That's why almost zero percent of gays and lesbians stay together more than a few months -- a year or two at most. They are unhappy and looking for something they won't ever find outside of repenting and turning away from their homosexuality. I will never understand how any man or woman could go against their natural feelings for the opposite sex (because everybody was made heterosexual and designed to be attracted to the opposite sex) and be with someone of the same sex, unless it is just pure rebellion and perversion. And that's why we don't need these people in positions of power or influence any more than we need murderers, rapists, theives, and drug addicts in power. Yes, I know everybody struggles with sin, but to embrace sin and call it normal and right is NOT acceptable. No one was born to be gay. For whatever reason -- childhood abuse or plain rebelliousness -- these people CHOOSE to live this kind of lifestyle, and they CHOOSE to want to be with the same sex. They need help, not encouragement. Allowing them to be government officials, teachers, or in any other position where they can have influence over others is not right.

On or about 1972 the medical professionals in the area of psychology removed homosexuality from the list of abnormal behaviors. The change did not occur due to any new or relevant data, rather it came about based on the strong political pressure of a few.
Oddly, the real medical world will tell you that anal intercourse always causes injury and exposes both partners to chronic, contagious and deadly diseases. For these reasons God severely condemns anal intercourse (hetero or homo). Those that glorify, condone or ignore the results of anal intercourse hate gay men. Why do you hate gay men... In this case religion has been more objective and more caring than alleged scientists.
