Yesterday we visited with some friends, and one of them asked me if I had seen the Spiderman movies. I was a little shocked that he asked me this, since i know this person is a Christian. I told him "no" and that I would never allow movies like that in my home or around my family. My friend was puzzled about why I felt this way. I explained that we as Christians should never watch such stuff, because in it Spiderman is performing magic and all kind of miracles. This is blasphemous, because Jesus is the only one who can perform miracles and great feats.

My friend was shocked. He told me that "It's just a movie!" Everyone else we were visiting wiht that day agreed with him, too!

Why have so many Christians become desensitized to the evils of the world?

Being gay is a sickness like pedos have, like serial killers have, and everything else. It's a mental sickness period. If you gays say the law shouldn't tell you who to love, then the law shouldn't tell a 40 year old who to love either when he's fucking a 15 year old. What next? Will people march for incest and pedo rights? Soon enough it will be legal to marry your dog, because "the law shouldn't tell people who to love." I am not sure. My current understanding, subject to change as evidence warrants, is this. I think that dinos evolved from birds, and maybe reptiles, or whatever as well. I doubt they were created as such. After all, as the world changed they ceased to exist. If they were a kind, they would be on the ark! That means they would have been here after the flood, 4500 years ago. Don't think so, at least not most of them.

Also subject to evidence is the time of the flood in the strata record, which I put somewhere near the KT boundary time. (as I say, subject to evidence, but so far, it seems to be a reasonable choice)

Why would giants or dinos die out before the flood? Not sure, maybe man and creatures spreading out from Eden took over the food supply, etc. Or, maybe the dinos were killed in the flood? If they were no kinds, that would be OK biblically.

If water came down from space, and up from deep below the earth, one would expect Iridium!

PS...intelligent man would likely tend to avoid them! I would. Unless I wanted a big omlette or something.

As for the rest of your post, you are wrong. Evolution is a very well funded, state endorsed religious stance to explain things. But it has no proof and you equate any extent of dissent with stupidity. No one believes in evolution, it is a dead theory. Evolution is not science, it is a fine concept if someone wants to believe it. But we don't and have no reason to. We see the structures, laws, patterns and drives in science as a mark for design and support for intelligent design.

There are obvious, clear differences in the beliefs. That leads you back to what is the trouble here. Evolution is state endorsed and taught in schools. My children won't be taught that garbage, No more than they would be willingly taught taoism.
