As a hetero, I would fear homo’s in contact with me, for health risk reasons. I can put myself at risk for PC purposes, but can not afford to risk family.

Just as I don’t do high risk sport activities for sake of family, I (and many others) would not want to be in situations of unnecessary risk, which would include being in the military, combat arms especially, where contamination risk by an infected homo is high.

Dittos for someone with any communicatable disease.

Safe beats PC (sorry).

It's sad, really...bullying is unacceptable behaviour but children deciding to be gay is also unacceptable behaviour. The gay lifestyle is a chosen lifestyle. God would not have a baby born gay. He opposes homosexuality so, therefore, He would not allow a child to be "born gay". That's totally ridiculous! If you have a child, pre-teen, or teenager that has chosen to be gay, I feel nothing but sorrow for you. And all I can do is pray that none of my grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, etc., choose that lifestyle.

It would be naive to suggest what appears on the surface as textual contradictions and historical errors, as well as suspected moral dilemmas, do not exist in the Bible. But, it is as intellectually dishonest to conclude that the Bible is not the word of God as it would be to suggest electricity does not exist because we cannot explain it.

Quote# 78856

Since the Constitution no longer has any validity, I suggest that it be abandoned as a working document. We should become a Confederation of States each of which would control its own destiny. That would automatically produce excellence as the individual states would compete with each other to attract the best features of a free society and the free enterprise system. They are already doing that. The only role for the Federal government would be the only thing it has ever done effectively which is to provide for the common defense. Taxes only for that purpose would be the only federal taxes allowed. All other taxes would be local. Many already are!

Actually the states already have their individual Constitutions. This proposal is not as crazy as it at first sounds. After all, the Constitution already delegates to the states virtually all powers anyway. The relatively few it reserves for the Federal government have all been ignored and violated countless times as our freedoms have progressively disappeared. This would be an opportunity to revive them.

The American dream of our Founding Fathers has failed miserably. We have already exceeded the two century mark typical for many past governments. I see this proposal as a golden opportunity to return to the conservative vision of our Founding Fathers, some of whom were in favor of this proposal even before the present Constitution was ratified. We must do something to stop the death spiral of our present course which, if unchecked, will certainly result in our demise as the land of the free. Desperate times require desperate measures.

I say let us make a fresh start before it is too late. I’m deadly serious.

What say others?

The Word of God has been proven to be true countless times.

It said thousands of years ago many times that the universe was stretched out and we can actually see the evidence of that today.

It says there is a Creator of all matter and today we can see that all of the basic elements of the universe are the actual created working machine parts inside of us that were not able to create themselves to work that way.

It says things reproduce after their kind and we can see that is true.

It says the world was destroyed by a flood and we can see the many layers that were laid down by the currents up to nearly a half a mile thick with all of the life forms buried in those layers. There is no other possible way of laying down that many tons of sediments with that many perfect layers around the entire globe.

The Bible speaks of dinosaurs and we have found the bones to prove they existed.

Evolution has failed to prove anything. It is not able even to make any one of the billions of steps that is required of it because that kind of magic is nothing more than baseless fantasy.

Quote# 78840

I have been watching this fiasco unfold since last Saturdays tragedy. Exactly within 2 hours after the shooting, the New York Times had already published a full editorial that blamed Palin for the crimes. This was done before anyone knew who the shooter was, how many involved, who lived and who died and the motive. This caused a nationwide attack on Palin immediately from the liberal left perpetrated by the jewish media for her use many months ago of maps targeting democratic districts with the use of Surveyor Symbols that resembled crosshairs. I would call it a modern day witch hunt. This has now led to massive death threats on Palin and her family at unprecedented levels and to the point that she is now consulting with former Secret Service and Blackwater reps to see about protection. This has also led Palin to respond the other day and as everyone knows, she used the phrase 'Blood Libel' in referencing the Jewish Media who blamed her without any evidence. This has caused a firestorm within the jewish universe and what is the result? Jews Attacking Jews.

That's right. Over the last 48 hours since her response to the nation, Jews have been on all the major news outlets up in arms fighting amongst one another over her. Some jews are defending Palin like Alan Dershowitz for her use of Blood Libel which has caused prominent Jews to lash out at him as well for him not calling her anti-semitic in defense of the millions who suffered in the holocaust. Switching through different news outlets, I watched last night 2 prominent jewish college professors of history on MSNBC go after each other so bad over the meaning of 'Blood Libel' that the host had to cut them off to get his word in. The deal is, Palin knew exactly what she was doing when she used that term. She knew that this would cause rifts within the media and the Jewish elite that it might make them what I call 'implode from within'. Guess what? It's working. The ADL is turning on other prominant Jews over this and Prominent Jews are turning against the ADL. Ever since Palin came on the seen she has been attacked and vilified along with her daugters and special needs child Trig by the jewish media. They have reported her every move and choice of words used.

You see, Palin represents everything they and the left oppose. Palins conservative family country living (hunting and fishing, pro life, pro gun) lifestyle is a shear threat to jewish liberal progressive ideology. She is now fed up with them and she has caused a backlash within the jewish community by design which I think was brilliant. With her, I think the Jewish Media blaming her for these deaths was the last straw for her and it woke her up. She is not going to pander to the jewish media anymore.

Quote# 78831

Can the actions of the Israelites legitimately be called genocide?

The term “genocide” means a major action “committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group.” Some twentieth-century examples are the extermination of six million Jews by the Nazis and the slaughter of 800,000 Tutsis by the Hutus in Rwanda in 1994. Going by this definition alone, the destruction of the Canaanites would seem to have been genocide.

But there is a major difference. These twentieth-century examples were basically people killing people simply because they hated them and/or wanted their land. The Canaanites, by contrast, were destroyed at the direction of God and primarily because of their sin. Because of this, I think the term should be avoided. The completely negative connotations of “genocide” make it hard to look at the biblical events without a jaundiced eye.

One’s background theological beliefs make a big difference in how one sees this. If God was not behind the conquest of Canaan, then the Israelites were no different than the Nazis and the Hutus. However, once the biblical doctrines of God and of sin are taken into consideration, the background scenery changes and the picture looks very different. There is only one true God, and that God deserves all honor and worship. Furthermore, justice must respond to the moral failure of sin. The Canaanites were grossly sinful people who were given plenty of time by God to change their ways. They had passed the point of redeemability, and were ripe for judgment.

Net Neutrality is Anything But Neutral

Net neutrality is an innocuous sounding term for what is really media Marxism. This is an ideological attempt by those on the left to control the greatest means for the distribution of information ever devised. It provides a playing field which the government does not control, and this is immensely troubling to those on the left.

There are two pieces to net neutrality:

Equal Access: Equal access says that everyone should always have equal priorities to the flow of information on the internet. In practice, this means that if I am updating my Twitter account, and my neighbor is downloading a movie, he shouldn't have access to more bandwidth than me. Right now, the large providers manage access, with some handling over one million URL requests a second. They are doing a phenomenal job. Net neutrality would prevent them from doing so, and would essentially "socialize" the internet.

This would also create some horrendous situations with the providers being unable to provide more bandwidth and priority to a hospital downloading an emergency transmission of an MRI, than they provide to me while I update my Twitter feed. We are obviously against this.

Equal Rates / Equal Service: Proponents of net neutrality are also trying to stop providers from offering "tiered" service plans. Think "first class," "business pricing plans for phone service etc." According to proponents, under net neutrality, everyone has to be charged the same, and provided the same services. This is the antithesis of capitalism, and would result in the stifling of technology development. Providers spend billions developing the technology; it is their right to charge as they see fit, and to create pricing plans that serve the needs of real customers in a real marketplace.

Our position is that net neutrality is simply government interference in the most important communications medium in history. Tea Party Patriots across the nation are very concerned about government regulation and interference in the internet, and we will be continuing to educate them about the reality of net neutrality, and the damage it will do to both the progress of technology and to the operation of the free market.

Modern science is no longer a practice, but a religious belief system. Many scientific methods and theories have been defeated and proven wrong, such as carbon 14 dating, macro-evolution, darwinism, and fossilization time requirements. However, if a professor comes out and says that, he will lose his pension, tenure and good standing in the scientific community, and be labeled a wacko. One cannot advance in science without discovering God, if even by accident. I live in Colorado, and there is evidence of Noah's flood everywhere. You can still find sea shells in the mountains. You can also find signs of water damage and erosion up there as well. My wife lived in a farming community for most of her life, and she told me about the many sea shells her and her siblings would find in the corn field. The funny thing is, when clams die, their mouths open. These are all closed, meaning they died in an aquatic event that happened very quickly and violently, like say...a worldwide cataclysmic flood.

Science has long known about all that the bible has been telling us. Bones of giants are found all over the world all the time. You never hear about it, because if a scientist announces this type of discovery, it supports what the bible says about there being giants in ancient times, and they could lose credibility in the scientific community.
Science has become a religion.

Once again, Sarah Palin proves her enemies wrong. She is accused of being a simpleton, and yet delivers a heart-felt, balanced and sensitive message expressing her condolences to those killed and injured in Tucson, and a response to those insane foes of free speech.

All the media can find to criticize her remarks is her use of the term "blood libel". In fact, her use of the term is perfect, in that she and the Tea Party movement are accused by Democrats and liberal media of being responsible for any acts of violence on elected officials. This is reminiscent of times when Jews were accused of seeking the blood of Christians for use in secret religious ceremonies. Both charges are equally absurd.

I would ask Mrs. Palin's detractors to ask themselves: Do I hate her for her political views? Do I wish her death? Do I "pile-on" with others when it comes to Mrs. Palin, simply because it is the trendy thing to do? Do I call her "stupid" because the press does and/or I am afraid I might be called stupid if I do not agree?

Just who is using politics to incite violence here? Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black!

(Regarding a comment on how Free Republic does not endorse overthrow)
So the government can become completely perverted, the Constitution flushed down the crapper, and the people turned into servile slaves of a corrupt state... BUT, as long as “the government” still wears the moniker “United States” ... well then, hot damn, it’s just peach with you!

We could have Adolph Hitler, reincarnated and running the show... and you’d probably be happy with it. We pretty much have that now... BUT hey, don’t sweat it pal... cause FR will forbid that we should notice and call for someone’s head, according to your myopic view!

Get’s your head out of that dark wet place, and realize that you have LOST your “government” ... it was sacked, “overthrown.” and made burnt toast long ago—and that outcome was made certain specifically because of individuals like yourself, who hide behind civil niceties... even while the enemy is kicking the living crap out of you.

So do not quote civilities to me! This “government” is so far gone to imply an offense is made by any who suggest it be “overthrown.” The “government” no longer exists in any form that its framers would recognize! The irony is that they would be the first screaming for military intervention at this point... BY WE THE PEOPLE... and just who makes up our military forces, if not WE THE PEOPLE?

THE EXACT REASON WHY THE FOUNDERS GAVE US THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS BEING PLAYED OUT IN FRONT OF YOUR VERY EYES... But YOU cannot see it—because YOU do not WANT to see it.

The founders knew this day would come, when we the people would desperately require the principle purpose of the Second Amendment be put into practice. So get a clue.

I'll say it: I agree with George Washington. Those godless, postmodern secular-socialists, who, today, hold the reins of government, are unpatriotic. Fringe leftists like Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid seek to "subvert" Washington's "great pillars" of "religion and morality" and are distinctly un-American for it.

Part and parcel of Obama's agenda has been to push, at a fever pitch, the most extremist pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, anti-Christian agenda in American history.

Indeed, in contrast with the deeply held religious and moral values embraced by our Founding Fathers, today's America is governed by an "immoral" and "irreligious" chief executive. Barack Obama is the high priest of secular-socialism.

He seeks to undermine — if not altogether dismantle — the American exceptionalism that, hitherto, has been fundamentally woven throughout our national fabric.

He aspires to the lowest common denominator. He seeks to uproot Ronald Reagan's "shining city on a hill" and relocate the "land of the free and the home of the brave" to a much lower altitude, alongside those Euro-Marxist nations he so admires and wistfully desires to emulate.

As a King James Bible believer, I have no problem with geocentricity.

...

In essence, it appears that satellites and related calculations aren't in themselves sufficient to distinguish between either geocentricity or heliocentricity. Either approach, for example, can be used to justify the 'slingshot effect' - though it is interesting that spacecraft orbits for other planets are calculated using the Earth, not the sun, as the centre of the coordinates. The implication is that the Earth is the centre of the planetary system.

How old is the world? Most people would say: "Nobody knows." But the author of the book frequently described as the greatest history book ever written, said the world was created Oct. 23, 4004 B.C. – making it exactly 6,014 next month. In the 1650s, an Anglican bishop named James Ussher published his "Annals of the World," subtitled, "The Origin of Time, and Continued to the Beginning of the Emperor Vespasian's Reign and the Total Destruction and Abolition of the Temple and Commonwealth of the Jews." First published in Latin, it consisted of more than 1,600 pages. The book, now published in English for the first time, is a favorite of homeschoolers and those who take ancient history seriously.

The leaders of Kenya's evangelical movement are pressuring the national museum to remove a world-famous collection of bones which conclusively depict the evolution of apes to humans.

The collection includes the most complete skeleton yet found of Homo erectus, the 1.7 million-year-old Turkana Boy unearthed by Dr Leakey's team in 1984 at Nariokotome, near Lake Turkana in northern Kenya. The museum also holds bones from several specimens of Australopithecus anamensis, believed to be the first hominid to walk upright, four million years ago. Together the artefacts amount to the clearest record yet discovered of the origins of Homo sapiens.

Bishop Bonifes Adoyo, the head of Christ is the Answer Ministries: "The Christian community here is very uncomfortable that Leakey and his group want their theories presented as fact. Our doctrine is not that we evolved from apes, and we have grave concerns that the museum wants to enhance the prominence of something presented as fact which is just one theory."

[Disney has announced that Tangled is the last fairy tale film for a while...]

The biggest reason cited for this change is that girls no longer view princesses and getting married to be the ideal.

“By the time they’re 5 or 6, they’re not interested in being princesses,” said Dafna Lemish, chairman of the Radio and TV Dept. at Southern Illinois University and a self-proclaimed expert in the role of media in children’s lives. “They’re interested in being hot, in being cool. Clearly, they see this is what society values.”

This is also what happens when Christians forget biblical truth and let Neo-Marxist, radical ideologies like cultural feminism run the mass media and change Western Civilization’s traditional Christian, biblical values such as purity, modesty and monogamous marriage.

Under the ban imposed in the southern town of Jowhar, men and women who are not related are also barred from walking together or chatting in public.

It is the first time such social restrictions have been introduced.

The al-Shabab administration said those who disobeyed the new rules would be punished according to Sharia law.

The BBC's Mohamed Moalimuu in Mogadishu says the penalty would probably be a public flogging.

The militant group has already banned music in areas that it controls, which include most of central and southern Somalia.

If passed, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) would have forced ministries to hire people who don't uphold the faith and values of the organization. For the second straight year it was the policies of the Federal Government that topped the list. In 2009 the Federal Hate Crime law was ranked number one.
