Quote# 83272

If the act of strutting your stuff results in an equal reaction, a girl must take at least half the responsibility for whatever transpires as a result. And if she can’t comprehend that basic contract with life, then she needs a keeper because she’s not a mature adult.

[snip]

And before that book flies across the room in his general direction, would the grown-up in charge open the volume and show these sad sackettes — the ones propped up in their prostitute poses — the place in the book where it says “as you sow, so shall you reap”? Karma is a you-know-what, girls.

Afterwards, they can charge the offended strutter as an accessory before the fact — i.e., if some dolt grabs her, then at the very least she is his partner in crime. And the offense in which they both participate is a serious transgression against civil order. Sadistic provocation is a breach of the peace.

Call it for what it is. Strutting your stuff and daring anyone to stop you isn’t real freedom. It’s a sneaking, sadistic bully-girl game. Since no adult would behave in such a manner, we have to presume they are, indeed, merely girls. Girls without any moral gravitas, girls who just wanna have fun at others’ expense, girls who haven’t learned to play fair or to see themselves as anything other than the objects they complain endlessly that men make of them.

(This is from an anti-D&D pamphlet that was first distributed in 1987 and is still being distributed among Christians today.)

They want our children.
They want our future.

With remarkable evangelistic zeal, the advocates of New Age thinking have captured the hearts and minds of thousands of kids through ingenious cartoons and movies, comics and toys, books and music. Featuring monsters, magic, violence, and sensuality, our children's popular culture has been transformed into a kind of "catechism of the New Age" -an introduction to occultism.

One of the chief weapons used in this spiritual raid on our children is a game-just a simple game. It is called Dungeons & Dragons and has sold millions of copies to youngsters all over America.

In this revealing booklet, authors Peter Leithart and George Grant show just exactly what this phenomenal game is, how it works, and why it is so popular. They also provide a Biblical critique of the game so that Christians can know how to respond.

If you've been looking for a short, concise, and accurate assessment of the current barrage of New Age ideas on our children and our future, look no more-you've found it.

I guess I am sorry for the person who thinks this is "sexist". Is someone deluded enough to believe that 50 years of "women are equal" BS is enough to overcome 10,000 years of evolution in which women were protected by men, whose job was as provider, sire to her children, father to the family and protector of them all.

It is only because men have been subjected to derogatory stereo-typing and have totally "wussed out" iin response that we have any discussion of it. Women at the top of the human food chain do not work, do not compete with men to be "male" and seek relationships with traditional values and status . The single and lesbians are only out there because they don't deserve male protection.

(And, if women did not work in competition with men, we would have -0- unemployment and would be welcoming immigrants with open arms because there would be more jobs that takers )

You're right, nothing in scripture states such a thing as no other life besides humans and divinity.

However, what's even more intriguing is...if supposedly they do exist now, are they affected by man's sin, more importantly the sins of the rebellious angels and Lucifer?

Man's sin affected the whole world and set off the second law of thermodynamics(which I believe is the curse God put on us) and affected the animals and everything living in that all decays and degenerates and eventually dies. So are these other living "aliens" affected by us, even though the bible says only man and satan sinned? This is what I've wondered for some time now.

We've been asked if we had anything to do with the riots in Great Britain. No. As God constantly says, He doesn't have to attack His enemies, the idiots destroy themselves! It's absolutely perfect, just what they deserve! I won't say we didn't refuse to quiet them, to keep them from getting out of control, as we normally would. Why should we? The British are murdering children in Libya. The world should know that they're oppressing people at home, as well. Let's bring out their dirty laundry! Let's show them their society isn't perfect, that they're using the economically depressed like a third world country. We will admit, we're opportunists, and when an opportunity presents itself to totally humiliate an enemy we'll use it, our right. Just as soon as I am president I fully intend to shut down any military bases we have in Britain, and to bring all American service personnel home.

It is reasonable to assume that crime of various types would increase if homosexuals are allowed into the military. It is also reasonable to assume more child molestation would take place on military outposts. At present most military families regard base housing as a relatively safe place to raise their children. If homosexuals are allowed into the military, base housing may no longer be perceived as safe for children. If the morale of military families collapses, the moral of the armed forces as a whole will likewise be devastated (p. 88).

Quote# 83196

For ten years, Dennis Markuze has been issuing death threats to atheists, journalists, entertainers and scientists. The deranged, inarticulate and repetitive nature of these threats have long been attributed to a diseased mind. Despite a decade of death threats, the Montreal police, who have jurisdiction over this person, have taken NO action against him.

Why?

A closer look at this man reveals a perplexing blend of alleged Christian fundamentalism and a near worship of Nostradamus.

Despite repeated efforts to engage him in conversation and discussion he has never done anything but repeat the same template driven insanity. There has been no variation, no thought, no research. It's as if the writing of Dennis Markuze is a character, a facade, and a poorly executed one at that.

Why put up this facade? And why are the Montreal police, the police department for a very liberal area, so determined to ignore an alleged conservative who is out for liberal blood?

The answer is simple. My theory is that Dennis Markuze is not the deranged madman he pretends to be. If he really were as violent and bloodthirsty as he claims, why would he attend and atheist convention with a backpack capable of concealing a bomb and do nothing but run?

The answer is simple. David Mabus (Dennis Markuze) is a deep cover liberal whose goal is to mock conservatives and make us look like psychotic lunatics. I suspect the Montreal police are taking no action against him, not because they'd rather he snap and kill someone first, as they claim, but because they already KNOW he's an act. The only rational reason for the Montreal police to take no action against a man who has been issuing death threats for ten years is if they know he's a fake and are in on it.

David Mabus (Dennis Markuze) I challenge you to do the right thing and confess your fraud. You are a fake, an act, a pretender. You are a liar defaming good Christian men and women with your routine. You are a sloppy, humorless, incompetent version of Borat. Stop libeling and slandering real Christians with your act.

In 1990, God gave me a vision. He showed me a vision of young people all over the world and how that they were being led astray by music. In more detail he showed me that the white youth of America were being lead astray by the Heavy Metal and Hard-core Metal music fad....

In the same vision, God showed me that Heavy Metal music was not reaching the black youth of America and that the enemy had a greater plan in store for us. He showed me that the enemy was creating a new type of music that would reach far beyond the color barriers that Heavy Metal could.... The music he showed me that would surface is what we now call Hip Hop.

Today, water flows on Mars only when another object, i.e. a meteor, falls to Mars and melts some of the ice.

So Mars never had an ocean. Nor did the water disappear, as others have speculated before. It’s still on Mars, only frozen, either as blocks of ice or as frost mixed into the soil.

The objects that did the bombardment came from one event that threw vast quantities of water, rock and mud into space. That event was the Great Flood. That’s why the water is salty.

Quote# 83174

Our military strength is a function of our spiritual strength. We can have the strongest and mightiest military in the world in terms of guns and ammunition and tanks and soldiers, but if we are not spiritually strong as a people, we can be defeated, we can and will suffer defeat. So it is absolutely critical for us who care about this nation, who care about the United States, to say "look, we have got to be spiritually strong as a people if we are going to be militarily strong."

That's why it is so important that we have in the military men of faith, men of Christian faith, who are in touch with God and with the spirit of God. Because when they come together to formulate battle plans, their minds are going to be quickened by the Holy Spirit of God and under his nudgings, his promptings, they're going to be able to develop battle plans that are going to lead to victory on the field of conflict.

Then you have to ask yourself the question, who would oppose a prayer meeting for our nation? The answer of course is Satan and those who are deceived by him, including atheists, gay pastors, the Democratic Party and the Houston Chronicle. If they were having a big homosexual rights rally or a Muslim prayer meeting at Reliant, I bet the Houston Chronicle would not be attacking it.

The article said the American Family Association opposes gay rights and evolution. Evolution is a myth that was believed before modern science discovered DNA and the complex design of the human cell and the solar system. Recent scientific discoveries prove that the universe and life have a complex design and if there is a design, there has to be a designer. Nothing happens by chance, including life and a complex universe. The one good thing about the article is that it clearly shows that the Houston Chronicle is opposed to fundamental Christians practicing their faith and expressing their beliefs in public.

[On taxonomic classification]

Well I just feel like being the Taxonimist's adversary here: As I said above. So many critters have eyes, but we don't lump them on that basis. Many critters have ears and we don't lump them on that basis either. I could go on, but I'm sure you already got the point. Why should mammals be a whole different category than non mammals. One thing that comes to mind is the dolphin. It is a mammal, but it is a fish. This brings up the question: Why is the dolphin put in the same category as people? I think this reflects evolutionary thinking. But I could be wrong.

How can you say "The Bible writers were wrong" but "the scientific writers are right?"

Were both not written by humans?

If science is just a conspiracy by the Illuminati, then science can not be relied upon.

If I told an atheist, "prove to me the sun is 93 million miles away from the Earth without consulting a scientific textbook" you wouldn't be able to do it.

I find it very unfair that atheists can cite scientific books as evidence but I can't cite the Bible as evidence.

**So much controversy stirred up because some guy felt awkward about explaining to his child that a lesbian is a girl that likes other girls instead of boys. If he's dumb enough to have watched the video with her despite the title, I feel doubly sorry for the little girl growing up with a father that is as homophobic as he is moronic.**

For my part, I'm glad there's a father out there who's not bowing down to the gay gestapo's attempts to brainwash everybody into believing that sexual deviancy is okay. I feel sorry for the sheep that buy into it. I'd rather be a homophobe than a cowed sycophant mouthing whatever twisted belief system is currently in vogue. And frankly I feel happy for any kid whose parent cares enough and is brave enough to teach her right from wrong, instead of knuckling under and letting the politically-correct police do it.

Hell of a comment to have to make on a My Little Pony site, but someone's got to make an attempt to scatter the cockroaches, I suppose.

I read "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss yesterday evening to my 5-year-old. My wife had borrowed it from the library. I was expecting an amusing kid's book like "Green Eggs and Ham" (also by Seuss), but what I got was tiresome environmental, anti-business agit-prop. Ugh. Almost everyone on Amazon has given it 5 stars -- no wonder Obama is president.

I think the language in the book is dumb, too. Why invent words like "biggerer" (used repeatedly) instead of using the word "bigger".

It's too bad I need to screen children's books for political indoctrination. I wonder if there are sites where conservative parents have recommended books.

As I recall, in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow," a group of people is attempting to survive a period of intense cold in the NY Public Library. Naturally, they start burning books to keep warm. The atheist character ultimately consigns Nietzsche to the flames - perhaps the last surviving copies of Nietzsche's work. Shockingly, he retains a Gutenberg Bible - because it represents the dawn of the age of reason.

I think the point is obvious. If all of Western Civilization were to be suddenly destroyed, what ONE THING would you choose to save? With the Bible, you could rebuild all the rest.

The King James Bible stands as perhaps the most influential version of the Bible, and thus is one of the most important bases of Western Civ.

[In response to the comment "I'd save an Encyclopedia":]

An encyclopedia won't help you develop the belief that time is linear, that the universe was created by a rational being and therefore can be rationally studied, or that a man has unalienable rights. It also won't inspire Handel's Messiah or the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The list goes on.

Plus, they won't let you bring the entire set of encylopedias on the evac helicopter!

[The Obama administration announced that health insurers will be required to cover birth control and counseling for battered women.]

-"Is the White House out of their mind? Does the West Wing not know what the left wing is doing? We’re $14 trillion in debt and now we’re going to cover birth control, breast pumps, counseling for abuse? Are we going to do pedicures and manicures as well?"

-"Why in the world would you encourage your daughters, and your granddaughters, and whoever else comes behind you to have unrestricted, unlimited sex anytime, anywhere and that, somehow if you prevent pregnancy, that somehow you’ve helped them. I would submit to you that uncontrolled sexual behavior is what is harming our girls, not our lack of birth control — which by the way they don’t seem interested in taking anyway. Having a baby is not the worst thing. I think having multiple sex partners without any kind of restraint or responsibility is much more damning, why would you support that?"

–“In Red China, they have this down to a science. The local health care centers make women come in every month to be examined to see if they’ve had their cycle to make sure they are taking their medication and if they have a baby they are roundly punished, if they have an extra baby that baby is aborted. That is the control we’re moving toward.

–“I’d like to say that the morning-after pill has other detrimental affects. In Great Britain where it was legalized first, there was an outbreak of older men taking young girls in for the morning-after pill so they wouldn’t get caught and so there are no consequences.

Homosexual bigots continue the "Night of the Long Knives" purge against anyone and everyone who believes in natural marriage.

The latest targets for their hatred and bigotry are the owners of the Wildflower Inn in Vermont. The inn's owners, Jim and Mary O'Reilly, are facing a potentially crippling lawsuit for one reason and one reason only: they have a religious conviction that marriage is the union of one man and one woman.

They respectfully declined to rent out their facility used for a lesbian wedding reception. Said the O'Reillys, "Many of our guests have been same-sex couples. We welcome and treat all people with respect and dignity. We do not however, feel that we can offer our personal services wholeheartedly to celebrate the marriage between same-sex couples because it goes against everything that we as Catholics believe in."

So the harassment of the O'Reillys is clearly "motivated by prejudice against (their)...religion."

According to the template of the left, they have become the victims of a hate crime.

For daring to actually act on their moral convictions, they are being targeted by the ACLU, which is determined to criminalize Christianity in the United States.

The O'Reillys now face some kind of criminal or civil sanction for acting on their deeply held religious convictions. If they are fined, then their property is being plundered as a punishment for their religious views. If they are ordered to violate their own consciences in their wedding reception policies, then their God-given and "unalienable" right to liberty has been shredded.

And the fact that homosexual bigots are using the power of government to carry out their hate-driven harassment of the O'Reillys only makes it worse. Harassment is harassment no matter who's doing it, and getting government thugs to do it for you under color of law is simply reprehensible.

Homosexual hatemongers have now created a "hostile environment" in which the O'Reillys are forced to work. They are being subjected to "conduct" which "annoys, threatens, intimidates (and) alarms" them, and have been subjected to behavior which is "unwanted, unwelcomed, and uninvited." Hello, hate crime.

In a sane world in which the First Amendment was still the supreme law of the land, the O'Reillys' freedom of religious expression and assembly would still be protected. Alas, the homosexual lobby is rapidly turning us into China and the former Soviet Union.

Christians are now being treated officially as second-class citizens with far fewer human and civil rights than those who engage in aberrant sexual behavior.

Now discrimination today is always a bad word a hundred percent of the time, but it simply means making a choice between or making a difference between. And discrimination means I am going to discriminate and say I can tell a difference between a Christian and a non-Christian and therefore I only want Christians working on my church staff. I can tell the difference between someone who says they're homosexual and someone who says they're straight. A secular organization has a tough time discriminating, but a church needs to have the right to discriminate.

This is a biblical issue because Jesus has an entire parable in Matthew 20: 1-15 where he talks about a landowner who had a vineyard who went out to hire folks to work in his vineyard. And as he hired them he make a contract with them that said you'll work for this much or whatever and throughout the day he hired people and he made individual contracts with them and at the end of the day when he is paying them all off, the guy who got hired first said "wait a minute, that's not fair" and [the landowner] said "time out, we had a contract, didn't we? You agreed to work for a certain wage ... you should have gone down the street and found somebody else to work for that would have paid you different, but you agreed to work for that wage." And Jesus makes a great statement in Matthew 20: 15 where he says "don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money?"

Now that's a great statement and that's a statement Jesus teaches to show the inviolability of contracts between employers and employees. That's why the government is not supposed to get involved in this stuff anyway. Government shouldn't be involved in employment contracts period.
