Take it from one who knows, who has been there, who has lived the life. Honest atheists are gullible, despite that we (I use the word advisedly) pride ourselves on our skepticism. We let ourselves be fooled by flimsy arguments and trivial objections. The task of Christian apologetic is to teach these sophomores skepticism, to teach them the ancient and manly art of logical reasoning.

Oh? Did you think that reason was on their side, and our side was the side of blind faith? How gullible of you. Examine your axioms.

“I will be Lord of my own house.” Thankfully, I only have to remind my wife occasionally of this fact. The corollary: “My great love for you enables me to put you through any amount of suffering to make sure it is so.”

Bullying is good. It encourages people who are behaving strangely or failing to develop social skills to do so. It's social Darwinism, being bullied because you are fat? Lose weight. Being bullied because you creep girls out? Start learning to pick girls who are actually interested in you. Bullied for being a slut? Stop spreading your legs for anyone who takes you out once. Bullied for being gay? Stop being so flamboyant.

And if you'd rather not change who you are, then fight back and earn your right to be different.

Society is not responsible for protecting you from mean people. Someone who is abnormal, bases their opinion of themselves on what other people think, is to weak to mount a defense, to stubborn to change, to unlikeable to get others to help, and to unintelligent to strike back verbally or with some sort of clever scheme deserves what they get: they were never going to contribute anything meaningful to society anyways.

Adapt or die.

Recently, the San Antonio, Texas school district has become embroiled in a lawsuit filed by the family of a student who is refusing to wear a mandatory student ID card embedded with a RFID tracking chip on the grounds that such chips are a "Mark of the Beast."

Yesterday on the "Hagee Hotline," John Hagee sought to reassure his audience that these sorts of ID cards are not the Mark of the Beast ... because that won't come until after the Rapture and the chips will be directly implanted in people's bodies. So it's not until the government starts forcing people to get implanted with such chips and "to keep laws that you don't want to keep," Hagee explained, "that you're in trouble":

I have said for years that once gay "rights" opened the door, other "orientations" would follow suit. Career queers have mocked and attacked me for warning about the unanticipated consequences of demanding rights based on sexuality. And now it is coming to the fore. Damn, it's boring to be right all the time.

What the queer agitators deny publicly, they affirm privately.

"Sex by eight or it's too late."

[re: decline in abortions may be due to increased availability of contraceptives]

No, I don't think there's any evidence of that.

Most likely the negative cultural reaction to the election of such a pro-abortion president (Obama) is what caused the decline, similar to what happened after the election of Clinton in the 1990s.

[An Australian ad equates being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex with left-handedness.]

Yes, because using one hand over another is comparable to vaginal sex between a man and a woman, and anal sex between two men. I was also not aware using a left hand caused diseases similar to AIDS or rectal cancer.

Could any kind of thought process be more idiotic than this one created entirely by people born of a woman and man?

Everybody involved with making this ad is either sick or fully brainwashed.

The more privileges are granted to those who make a personal identity out of sexual perversion, the more propaganda we will be fed promoting the absurd concept that the privileged are oppressed. This Australian video informs us that rather than being granted special protected status, “gay, lesbian, bi, and intersex people” are treated brutally as a result of their perversions. We also learn that there is no free will or virtue involved in choosing to indulge or not to indulge in sexual grotesquery; being a pervert is the moral equivalent of being left-handed[...]

Can anyone help with these two questions: 1) Why is it so important to the liberal ruling class to promote sexual depravity; and 2) What the hell is an intersex person?

Quote# 91051

For about two years I have been including imprecatory prayers in our church services and Bible studies at Holy Grounds Coffee House. Imprecatory prayers are Old Testament prayers for the defeat and destruction of the enemies of God and his people. A New Testament variation on these prayers is to ask God to save the people but destroy the institutions. Our prayers, part of our seven year campaign to re-Christianize the City of Springfield, have included an appeal to God to destroy the works of Satan in this city. We have specifically included the strip clubs in these prayers.

Yesterday the three story Scores strip club on Worthington Street was completely obliterated in a gas explosion, right down to the ground.

I believe this was the hand of God at work in answer to our prayers.

When water started trickling down a statue of Jesus Christ at a Catholic church in Mumbai earlier this year, locals were quick to declare a miracle. Some began collecting the holy water and the Church of Our Lady of Velankanni began to promote it as a site of pilgrimage.

So when Sanal Edamaruku arrived and established that this was not holy water so much as holey plumbing, the backlash was severe. The renowned rationalist was accused of blasphemy, charged with offences that carry a three-year prison sentence and eventually, after receiving death threats, had to seek exile in Finland.

[...]

Edamaruku, who has the support of rationalists and atheists such as Richard Dawkins, is well known in India for debunking religious myths, and was already unpopular among Indian Catholics for publicly criticising Mother Teresa's legacy in Kolkata.

When the state "miracle" was pronounced, he went to Mumbai and found that the dripping water was due to clogged drainage pipes behind the wall where it stood. His revelation provoked death threats from religious zealots and ultimately charges of blasphemy under the Indian penal code in the Mumbai high court.

[...]

Edamaruku said his exposure of the weeping statue was also a contribution to public health in Mumbai as some believers were drinking the water hoping it could cure ailments. "This was sewage water seeping through a wall due to faulty plumbing," he said. "It posed a health risk to people who were fooled into believing it was a miracle."

He has been living in Finland since the summer. He was in Europe on a lecture tour in July when his partner rang to say the police had arrived at his flat. "I felt really upset because under the blasphemy law you cannot get bail until the court case begins. I would be in jail now if I had been at my apartment in Delhi," he said.

He has spurned an offer from a senior Indian Catholic bishop to apologise for the exposure of the "miracle".

"The Catholic archbishop of Bombay, Oswald, Cardinal Gracias, has said that if I apologise for the 'offence' I have caused he will see to it that the charges are dropped. This shows that he has influence in the situation but he will not use it unless I apologise, which I will not do as I have done nothing wrong," he said.

[why would God give a whale lungs, placental reproduction, live birth where the mother must lift the baby up to breath, and mammary glands instead of the design of a fish? God even gave the whale the underlying skeleton homologous to other mammals, instead of one of a fish.]

why not? There are trillions of different designs, features and abilities in nature. The simple answer is diversity. God, it seems to me, loves demonstrating Himself by making unique and diverse works of art. And the funny thing is, keeping with mammals, is that all mammals share pretty much the same set of genes, no matter what they look like. It's almost like God is playing with scientists, like humans can play with cats with a piece of yarn. The idea that a mammal one day decided to start playing in the ocean and then evolve new and different traits so that he could one day swim in the depths strikes me as lunacy.
