Quote# 113647

Now that Yahweh has made it clear that He intentionally lied for centuries about how many Gods there are, the New Covenant becomes extremely threatening to all humans everywhere. The number of Gods is no longer the main issue–today we resent the idea of having to submit to Gods who would intentionally deceive us. Yahweh has come up with a brilliant way of making submission to Him a costly affair no matter what culture we grow up in. It shouldn’t matter to us if there is one God or ten–what matters is that we are connecting with the real Gods and not putting our faith in deceptions. Yet today Christians resist the idea of multiple Gods because they resent the idea of our Gods not being forthcoming with us. Our pride hates the idea of our Gods living above Their own Laws. They say that lying is a sin for us, yet when They lie to us, They say it’s just fine. In the same way, if we take a life, They say we have committed the sin of murder, but if They kill us, that’s just fine. This is how it works when you are dealing with three All-Powerful Gods. They are accountable to no one while we are accountable to Them. There are no rules which They have to abide by. There is absolutely no way that we can restrain or control Them. What we can know for certain is that They are withholding a ton of information from us even now about how things really work. They have no intention of telling us the complete truth about all the things They are up to as Creators. We will only ever know what They want us to know. We are not in control of this situation–They are. It’s Their game, Their rules. They will run Their game anyway that They want, and if we don’t keep up, we’ll be the ones suffering terrible consequences.

Quote# 113646

Consider this: people are told that God says that if we seek Him with all their hearts, we will find Him. So if you’re searching for Him, and you want to find Him, isn’t it possible that your mind will simply imagine that you’ve found Him? If we humans are so capable of deceiving ourselves, how can we tell the real God from our own wishful thinking? Wouldn’t it be more logical to try and search for God without expectations or faith as a safeguard against self-deception? Isn’t the whole idea of having to have faith to please God a bit of a set up? These are the questions we will address in this post.Certainly there is a very real principle that we can find evidence for anything that we want to believe, and it’s important to think seriously about this issue. All we have to do is look around the world and we’ll find scores of people who are all convinced that their religion is right, even though those religions all conflict with each other. And then within the Christian Church, you will find scores of Christians who adamantly disagree about various attributes of God. Is He really all-powerful or can His will be thwarted by His own creations? Is He the One inflicting pain on us or is He always looking away while some other party has their way with us? Some Christians say God is incapable of lying, others say He lies a lot. Most Christians say that Yahweh (God the Father), Jesus & the Holy Spirit are three expressions of a single Deity (the three-in-one Trinity theory). On this site, we teach that They are three separate Deities and that the Trinity theory is a bunch of baloney. Much of what we teach on this site counters the teaching of the mainstream Christian Church, and with so many Christian denominations bickering with each other, clearly Christians are rather confused about who their own God is.

So where does this leave you? You certainly don’t want to put your faith in a delusion. And you don’t want to believe in some warped version of God because you’re listening to folks who are in denial about certain aspects of Him. You want to know God as He really is, or forget it. Delusions take us nowhere. To pray to a God who isn’t really there is a complete waste of time. To try to serve Someone who only exists in your mind is ridiculous.

Quote# 113645

The atheist looks up at the stars and says “random chance.” The Christian looks up at the same stars and says “the work of God.” The Muslim looks up and says “the work of Allah.” As an outside observer, these three look the same to you. But the soul experience of these three is radically different. Because the atheist and the Muslim are convinced that their fantasies are real, they will sound every bit as confident as the Christian when they defend their beliefs. Soul realities simply can’t be conveyed through words. The crazy man’s delusions are real to him, yet they aren’t real to anyone else. Allah is “real” to Muslims, but he isn’t real in actuality. Yahweh, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the only Gods who are truly real–real regardless of who does or doesn’t believe in Them. You want to find the real Gods, not just buy into delusions. So how do you do this? And how do you have faith when you are not even consciously aware of your soul as a separate entity from your physical body? It’s very simple. Ask God to help you find Him and to know beyond all doubt who He is and what He wants from you.

While science shuns religion, it is utterly religious itself. It insists that God cannot be–a theory which could be worth discussing if any sound argument could be developed to support it. But the truth is that the existence of God is the only rational explanation there is for all that we see around us, and a proper application of the scientific method–which invites us to put forth any hypothesis and then seek supporting evidence for it through logical proofs–would drive us to conclude that there is an intelligent Creator every time. Scientists say “prove that God is real” while refusing to acknowledge the evidence right in front of their faces. We would say to science “prove that God isn’t real.”

Quote# 113643

Now it’s not fair to label all science as anti-God religion–science has been turned into that today, but true science is merely the search for knowledge, and there’s no reason God has to be written out of the equation. So if we were doing science right–meaning that we weren’t going into it utterly closed to certain concepts while claiming to be so open minded–then science and creationism would get along just fine. But the reality is that trying to study the world around us isn’t the real issue at hand. We like to bicker about the origins of this universe and pretend we’re all in some noble search for truth, but in reality what we’re really trying to do is find some way to prove that God can’t be real. We want to get out of being accountable to and controlled by a Being who we can’t control–that’s the real issue. It has nothing to do with understanding where human life came from. At the end of the day, who even cares whether your ancestors emerged from slime or not? The far more important issue is why are you here now and is there any other Being in existence who is controlling your existence? Are you really an autonomous being or are you being manipulated by Someone else? Is death really the end of you or is there some other chapter that you ought to be preparing for? Discussing the present is far more useful than endless debates about origins.

It helps that the progressive community is composed of GRUBER STUPIDs whom routinely change their frothing talking points daily otherwise the morons might wonder "wait, what we were screaming in support of dismembering infant body parts for the enrichment of our Josef Goebbel's wing of the Socialist Party"....

I guess those "selectively" edited video weren't so "selective" after all.

[Link in original]

Israel’s Ministerial Committee for Legislation will decide tomorrow if it will back legislation that would sometimes require Israel’s secular courts to issue rulings on the basis of halakha (Orthodox Jewish law), Ha’aretz reported. Courts would be required to rely on halakha when existing case law does not provide a clear decision in the matter at hand.

The bill is sponsored by two members of Knesset from the right-wing Zionist Orthodox HaBayit HaYehudi Party, Nissan Slomiansky and Bezalel Smotrich.

[...]

A law passed in 1980, after Israel’s right-wing led by Menachem Begin formed a bloc with haredim and took Knesset, orders secular courts to use Jewish heritage when ruling on a matter that cannot be otherwise resolved through existing law or judicial precedent. Secular court judges, the 1980 law says, should base their rulings on “the principles of freedom, justice, integrity and peace of Jewish heritage.”

But, Slomiansky and Smotrich claim, judges rarely do this because the law is vaguely worded and because the secular courts are allowed to rule by inferring judgements from alternative secular legal sources.

The new law proposed by Slomiansky and Smotrich says that in cases in which a legal matter has no judicial precent, case law or actual Knesset-passed law to resolve it, secular court judges would have to turn to halakha to find a source for their ruling before using alternative secular legal sources (like, for example, case law from other Western democracies).

The new law would also spell out where in the vast compendium of halakha secular judges should look to for their rulings. The proposed law’s language explicitly says “judges may rule on the basis of the Code of Jewish Law.”

[...]

The Israel Democracy Institute points out that the 1980 law mandates that if a secular court doesn’t resolution to an issue of law in existing case law by allowed inference, it must rule “in the light of the principles of freedom, justice, integrity and peace of Jewish heritage” – wording which makes clear secular law and existing legal precedents take precedence over halakha.

But the new bill proposed by Slomiansky and Smotrich changes this order of hierarchy and inserts halakha into the judicial process before legal inference. The proposed bill also removes the phrase “the principles of freedom, justice, integrity and peace of Jewish heritage” and replaces it with the term “halakha.” That gives short shrift to Jewish theology (for instance, the theology of the great medieval Jewish scholars known as the Rishonim) and commands secular judges to rely on a compendium of halakha that is by no means the final word on Jewish law.

Quote# 113638

I have been Youth Leader at my church (Baptist) for the last 16 years. In that time we have had our ups and downs ministering to teens; the good times and the bad.

But never this bad.

About 4 years ago, we were averaging 10-15 teens in our group (we're a small church, with attendance in the 80s and 90s.). Then an incident happened which began an unfortunate pattern.

"The Incident" (as I call it) involved a Sunday night youth meeting in which I mentioned, in passing, that the Bible condemns homosexuality (the topic was in the news). After everyone had been dismissed, one of the young girl's mother came storming into the room and blasted me for my insensitivity.

It turns out that the mother's oldest daughter (who was not at the meeting) is a lesbian.

Earthquake.

The fallout was immediate and devastating. Sunday school and Sunday nights' attendance shriveled down to me and my 2 sons.

It stayed that way for an entire summer.

Slowly, younger kids who were coming into the 7th grade started attending and from that we started over. We eventually built it back up to previous levels.

Then gay marriage started becoming a prominent national issue, and again I was forced to make a decision: go soft on the issue or stand firm on what the Bible teaches. Ignoring it wasn't an option, it kept coming up.

90% of the teens played along with everything until we got back from the annual Youth Convention in 2014.

And then they fled.

This time it hurt my sons, since the ones who left were their contemporaries.

How did I explain all this to my sons? It was rough. This is a small neighborhood. You can't help but pass by people that you know, people that you have ministered to. People that now look away when they see you, not even acknowledging your existence...or your sons'.

What of the remaining 10% that stayed? They moved away.

Our trip to youth Convention this year was a very small group. The only ones that stuck around afterward were my sons.

You can guess what this past summer looked like.

A couple of months ago, our bus ministry found a group of black teenagers that were really talented in performing arts (dance and interpretive movement). We even let them perform on a Sunday morning. However, one of them is gay.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

And here's the kicker: I've never had the chance to actually TEACH on the subject. I've just mentioned it in passing...and teens have fled for the tall grass.

As you can see, we have been on the receiving end of history. Believe me, it gets old.

I am on the verge of giving up, which I didn't want to do until my sons both graduated.

I've condensed our recent history for time's sake, but suffice it to say that we are in desperate straights.

The other thing that makes this so challenging is that I have no co-workers in this ministry, I work 2 jobs and have been the only teen ministry worker for most of my 16-year term.

My pastor has been supportive, but is really unable to help beyond encouraging words and prayers.

I'd like to have a dialogue here with Freepers who may have suggestions.

Quote# 113637

The best way for liberals to advance their various causes would be to take a pledge to live the rather progressive lives that they advocate. Here are a modest Ten Commandments to lend them credibility in the eyes of the American people.

1. Climate Change. Perhaps the greatest carbon emission sin is jet travel. On an average London-to-New York flight each passenger emits well over 1 ton of C02 emissions, an indulgence that can nullify a year of recycling of other less-privileged Americans. All supporters of government-mandated reductions in fossil-fuel emissions could at least take the following pledge. “I will fly across the Atlantic no more than once every five years.” Private jet travel — the worst of the mortal carbon sins — of course would be banned, at least until we can transition into solar and wind aviation. Al Gore in the middle seat of Row 44, fighting to put his oversized carry-on into the overhead compartment, would be a symbolic act worth far more than all his heated and well-paid rhetoric.

2. Schools. Most liberals oppose charter schools, support teachers’ unions, and encourage generous immigration, legal and illegal. To further diversity in the schools, create easier integration, and to nullify the insidiousness of white privilege, each liberal should pledge, “I will put at least one of my children in an inner-city public school, or in a school where the white enrollment is in a minority.” What better way to acculturate a young elite to the new world around him? Could not the Obama children attend a D.C. public school?

3. Guns. Gun control is an iconic liberal issue, specifically limitations on handguns and concealed weapons. Too many guns in too many places supposedly encourage violent crime. Again, what better way to make a statement than by having all liberal celebrities, business people, and politicians take the following pledge: “I will pledge that no one in my security detail will ever carry a concealed firearm of any sort”? Surely the pope, of all people, did not need armed guards, with lethal concealed weapons, surrounding his pope-mobile?

4. Illegal Immigration. Liberals support the idea of unlimited immigration, legal or not. But the key for successful upward mobility for newly arrived immigrants, attested in nearly all studies, is integration and acculturation with American citizens. Therefore the following pledge seems ideal for any supporter of open borders: “I will socialize weekly with at least one illegal immigrant, whether inviting him to a sporting event, dinner, or recreational activity.” Were one upscale family to adopt an immigrant family from south of the border, the latter’s health care, legal, education, economic, and culture challenges might be alleviated. There are plenty of empty and mostly unused guest houses behind estates in Malibu and Santa Monica, and very few shelters for new arrivals: why not combine need and idleness — and help the helpless?

5. Sanctuary Cities. Most liberals support sanctuary cities and the idea of open borders, including the right of cities to nullify federal law. Why not pledge, “I will swear support for all American cities that choose to nullify any federal laws that they find oppressive and somehow contrary to the idea of America”? When a cattleman shoots a wolf, and a county sheriff guffaws and claims “that’s a federal problem, not mine,” then we will have come full circle to the sort of disasters that occur in San Francisco.

Even as Pope Francis and Catholic leaders from around the world debate ways to make the Catholic Church more inclusive, Newark Archbishop John Myers has given his priests strict guidelines on refusing Communion to Catholics who, for example, support gay marriage or join an organization that rejects Church teaching.

In the two-page memo, Myers also orders parishes and Catholic institutions not to host people or organizations that disagree with the Church.

He says Catholics, “especially ministers and others who represent the Church, should not participate in or be present at religious events or events intended to endorse or support those who reject or ignore Church teaching and Canon Law.”

...The memo is titled “Principles to Aid in Preserving and Protecting the Catholic Faith in the Midst of an Increasingly Secular Culture.” It is dated Sept. 22 and was sent to priests this week, according to a source who provided a copy to Religion News Service.

In the memo, Myers writes: “The Church will continue to cherish and welcome her members and invite them to participate in her life to the degree that their personal situation permits them honestly to do so.

“Catholics,” he continues, “must be in a marriage recognized as valid by the Church to receive Holy Communion or the other sacraments. Non-Catholics and any Catholic who publicly rejects Church teaching or discipline, either by public statements or by joining or supporting organizations which do so, are not to receive the Sacraments.”

The states already had a marriage clause in their Constitutions according to the 10th amendment.

Please. They aren't conservative. They just use that name. They are "cuckservatives", just one side of the leftist ruling elite who are painted "conservative" but they are not so.

I mean do they do politics like it is 1880? No? Then what is conservative about them? They don't even do it like it is 1950 or 1980.

They are part of the Mainstream constantly swimming left.
If they were at least a few decades behind they could be somewhat conservative, because that would mean they are a bit to the right to the mainstream. But they aren't.

What you used as an example is a violation of the Rule of Law: a leftist violation of a conservative principle.

A conservative liberty, equality, fraternity violation would be something like: borders closed, welfare ended, no-fault divorce stopped etc. a system focused on what historically worked: a patriarchical system of actually working, not welfare drawing, yet 2-4 kids having people of well-integrated, compatible ethnic groups. I.e. to actually make a country and its people able to survive. Like in the past.

This is what the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta said about abortion on 3FEB94:

"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself.

And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even His life to love us. So, the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love, that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts.

By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems.

And, by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion.

Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion."

Gov. Mike Pence announced a $3.5 million contract Monday with the anti-abortion organization Real Alternatives.

In a 40-page document, the state spells out its expectations for the one-year contract, including maintaining a "pro-life mission" and understanding the contract does not include funding for the referral or advocacy of contraceptive services or drugs.

The stated purpose of the Pennsylvania-based Real Alternatives is to "actively promote childbirth instead of abortion."

The stated purpose of the Pennsylvania-based Real Alternatives is to "actively promote childbirth instead of abortion."

The state signed a $1 million contract with the organization last year for a pilot program in northern Indiana.

Pence cited that program's success in his decision to expand services statewide through next September. He called the move an "important step" for the health of women and families.

In the contract, Real Alternatives is bringing resources to existing pregnancy centers and adoption and social services agencies "so more women can be served and fewer abortions chosen."

The governor's office said services will include referrals and counseling for issues ranging from breastfeeding to sexual abuse, and cover the period from pregnancy through 12 months after a baby is born.

Mike Ficther, CEO of Indiana Right to Life, praised the decision, saying, "We have seen positive results from one year of Real Alternatives in Northern Indiana, and we look forward to seeing what the statewide impact of Real Alternatives will look like."

A spokesman for the Indiana Democratic Party released a statement criticizing the contract.

"Hoosiers are already aware that Gov. Pence will put his ideology about healthcare ahead of their well-being, but today's contract announcement raises more questions about the Pence Administration's real agenda," said Drew Anderson, communications director for the Indiana Democratic Party.

The governor's office said the contract will be funded through existing monies from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

Somebody mentioned Ann Coulter; I can only imagine what the nation would be like with her as our president. Our nappy headed criminals would be running for their cockroach crevices to escape her wrath. Yes…she would fundamentally change America into the best damned utopia on earth without any deadweight coons! I would not be surprised if she did not charge Obama with treason for what he has done (running the nation into the hole with debt; adding MILLIONS of illegal foreigners to take American jobs; and not following established US laws.)

Unfortunately, I don’t think that will ever happen. I have to say the woman has balls (metaphorically speaking). I remember seeing her on Fox News with that great ape called Cornel (something or other). The coon looked like he just stuck his finger in an electrical outlet with his nappy hair standing straight up in the air…you would have thought the n****r saw a ghost. The coon gets loud and tries to talk over the white person, but this didn’t happen. She handed that n****r his ass on a silver platter.

Few women have her intelligence and knowledge about race issues in our nation (with the exception of a few on this blog who also seem to be quite enlightened.)

I just had a thought about what to do with all our black killers, rapists, and robbers in Americans prisons. Let’s pay Iran and North Korea to take them in and let them serve their time over there. North Korea needs workers for the coal mines…so there you go!

IF satan divided his kingdom among these demonic forces, he's in danger of dividing it, and having it fall, as Jesus said. So he allows for temporary alliances until he can in his own time, turn the muslims against the gays and abortionists. Satan has nothing to lose. Secular scientists have taken lot of things that we once knew were caused by demons or witches, gave them different names, and referred to them as "mental disorders". Like that time that guy was chock full of demons, and Jesus cast them out of him and into a herd of pigs which subsequently stampeded themselves off a cliff -- today we'd just call that guy an epileptic, put him anticonvulsants, and send him on his merry way. Does that sound like the kind of world you want to live in? Anticonvulsants might be great for controlling his seizures, but they won't do jack for getting rid of all those demons.

Egghead scientists want you to believe that the sun is 93 million miles away, but simple trigonometry proves that it is much closer.

On the equinox at solar noon, the sun is directly over the equator at a spot due south from me. That means that the equator, the sun, and I form a right triangle, so if I know my distance to the equator and if I can measure the angle of the sun, then I can calculate the distance to the sun.

So I borrowed a sextant on the equinox and measured the angle of the sun at solar noon, and it came out as 53.6°, which I would expect since I am at 36.4° latitude. Valle Hermosa, Ecuador is roughly 2517.9 miles due south from me. So, if I plug in the values into this simple trigonometric formula and solve for the distance to the sun, I get the following:

tan(T) = Opposite / Adjacent
tan(53.6) = Opposite / 2517.9 miles
1.356 = Opposite / 2517.9 miles
Opposite ˜ 3414.3 miles

So, the sun is a mere 3414.3 miles overhead.

[On Jonathan Cahn now that his shemitah predictions have failed]

Cahn preached sound doctrines.Any Christian who had God's Spirit in him/her would bear the same witness.Needless to say, those who opposed him and his messages,is definitely coming from the Dark side, having souls darkened, void of the spirit of God,perhaps twice dead, and these Nay Sayers were reserved to be slaughtered.

The Kingdom of Christ,is distinct, and there is a line cannot be blurred.

These Critics were not afraid of prophets of God,neither can they keep their big mouths shut, and couldn't help themselves but just jump into conclusion, and quick to cast suspicions and smears,to attack man of God,poison them.Anyone simply hating their brethren abides in death. But these brute Beasts had no qualms to offend God,and God''s servants, and they had gone deeper than hate. They bear false witness, and made distortions.

We bore witness that he is a prophet of God,and they say otherwise. It cannot be mistaken, either one among us is making Deceits.THERE IS NO TWO WAYS ABOUT IT.

One of us,is an Evil doer, had Iniquities, would hear the words of Jesus soon...I NEVER KNEW YOU,DEPART FROM ME YOU WHO DID SINS.EVIL DOERS.LAWLESSNESS.

One fact. One opposer said that, because Johnathan spoke from scriptures, from God''s Words, therefore he is no prophet.

Precisely, one who spoke from Scriptures is God's Prophet, and that is attested by all Christians.God's prophet must believe in the scriptures, teach from scriptures, and that is the true test of a Prophet also.A Christian first, then he might be called to be a prophet.

A protest Sunday at the State Capitol is garnering support for the removal of the state flag.

The "Take It Down March Rally" was a nearly two mile trek through the streets of Jackson which gathered support from civil rights activists, political leaders, clergy and more.

[...]

Supporters of the current flag watched in silence holding the state flag. They said they were there to counter negative attacks on the flag.

"If they're offended I question their motivations because the blue in the confederate battle flag represents St. Andrew who was an apostle of Jesus Christ and he was Jewish and makes me wonder if they're anti-Semitic," said state flag supporter Craig Haden.

You still haven't answered or credibly refuted how physiologically 'unnatural' it is for 2 men or woman to reproduce is. Science man. Have you ever studied (even basic) anatomy?

You can give me another 50 uses for the anus (farting, for example, though I am wondering if some people [usually brainwashed trollers] fart more out their mouth), but it still doesn't make it a reproductive organ.

You can bring in 'pleasure' and all kinds of other circumventing arguments, but you are still side-stepping the issue. Homosexuality is not biologically normal (insert your ad hominem lies about how I somehow hate gay people [I actually love them] HERE [even though I'm trying to logically and physiologically show how the propaganda you've been fed may actually be wrong]).

Liberals shriek like chimpanzees as Houston Zoo becomes gun-friendly.

If liberals don't trust their fellow citizens to carry guns, then they shouldn't trust their fellow citizens to vote, and they shouldn't vote, either. They should leave all decisions about their lives in the hands of government and embrace a nanny state that will take care of them, always be there to protect them, and tell them what to do.

For the rest of us, if you live or work around large groups of people, you may feel like putting the responsibility for your safety in your own hands.

The holy God is sovereign over life. The Western Sodom and its mimickers could be next for the Divine wrath. You need humility before God. You have life from Him. Yes, godless secularism's crown work.Secularism is useless because of its amorality. What is the use of chanting human rights and liberty if America fails to protect a child from pervs? Democracy is meaningles if the people are barbaric. Mankind needs the Gospel for salvation and Christian ethics to be civilized. America was created to spread Christianity, not barbarians' democracy. American liberals are well-dressed barbarians.

I wonder if they have a specified wording for this information which is demanded to be given out? If not, the people who are trying to save babies and the souls of their mothers could say something like, "You can always choose to have your baby murdered at a state funded clinic, but we are glad you are here to find ways to save your child and not commit this horrible sin. We want to help you and the wonderful blessing growing inside you in any way that we can."

Abortion is murder. The innocent blood cries out for Justice.

Judgement is coming.
