Scott Lively, the infamous US pastor who instigated Uganda’s ‘Kill The Gays’ legislation says he isn’t ‘anti-gay.’

Lively, who is set to stand trial in the US for his contribution to human rights violations in Uganda, recently blogged about the evil liberal media’s attempt to make him seem like a bad guy, by referring to him as ‘anti-gay.’

According to Pink News, Lively wrote:


“Most irritating and misleading is that all or most of the stories identify me (often in the title) as ‘anti-gay pastor’, as if that were some sort of professional title rather than an editorial comment.

I strongly object to that characterization, which deliberately misrepresents my opposition to the mainstreaming of homosexual conduct as hatred of homosexual persons.

The term ‘anti-gay’ effectively mistranslates the pro-family motto ‘Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin,’ into ‘Hate the Sinner because of the Sin’.

“As such it is not an honest descriptor but a slur, and its use by the media is an act of complicity in a dishonest and manipulative LGBT political tactic.

“Much of what the public falsely believes they know about my views and actions in the culture war is the fruit of this tactic and similar manipulative spin by pro-‘gay’ journalists throughout the industry.”

Following his 2009 visit to Uganda, a government official was quoted as saying:


“We must exterminate homosexuals before they exterminate society.”

Lively posted an update to the ‘Defend the Family’ web page while he was still in Uganda, bragging of the impact his hate-speech had on the people there.


“my host and ministry partner in Kampala, Stephen Langa, was overjoyed with the results of our efforts and predicted confidently that the coming weeks would see significant improvement in the moral climate of the nation, and a massive increase in pro-family activism in every social sphere. He said that a respected observer of society in Kampala had told him that our campaign was like a nuclear bomb against the “gay” agenda in Uganda. I pray that this, and the predictions, are true.”

Shortly after, the ‘kill the gays’ bill was introduced.

Lively is being sued for his role in the persecution of LGBT citizens in Uganda. Incidents of persecution against gays in Uganda have been steadily increasing over the past half decade, since Lively and other right wing fanatics targeted the country as ripe for spreading their distorted gospel of hate. LGBT citizens are attacked, arrested, imprisoned and deprived of basic human rights, such as the right to housing and food and water.

Now that he’s being sued, he claims he’s not responsible for the suffering of the LGBT community, although he went to Uganda with the sole purpose of instigating hatred toward gays. The misinformation that he spread while he was in Uganda, a country in which more than half the population is age 15 or younger, led directly to the increase in persecution seen today.

Now that he’s being sued, he’s not bragging about the ‘nuclear bomb’ he set off in Uganda. In fact, he’s claiming that the rise in persecution of gays in the country had nothing to do with him.

Would you follow your own fleshly desires, or would you deny yourself and follow Jesus? Do you value your earthly life or eternal life? Do you treasure the goods of this world or the salvation of your soul? Do you fear being ashamed of Jesus or fear Jesus being ashamed of you?

You pursue what you treasure. You go to work and sweat because you know the rewards of a paycheck outweigh the temporary pleasure of reclining at home in front of the T.V. If Jesus calls you, you will follow, knowing that losing your earthly life is worth gaining eternal life.

Would you follow Jesus? Count the cost (Luke 14:25-33):

• Following Jesus costs your own life. Jesus said you must deny yourself, taking up your cross. One who rejects the cross cannot be Christ’s disciple (Luke 14:27).

• Following Jesus may cost the loss of family and friends. Jesus said His coming often brings division between His followers and their families, friends, and the world. Anyone who does not hate (meaning love less) his family is not worthy of Christ (Matthew 10:32-39).

• Following Jesus may cost the loss of your possessions. One rich man proudly thought he was good enough to go to heaven. “Jesus said to him, ‘If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me’” (Matthew 19:21). Loving wealth more, the rich man sadly forsook Jesus.

• Following Jesus will cost facing persecution. Christians should expect suffering as a normal part of belonging to the “man of sorrows” (See Isaiah 53 and John 15:18-21). Jesus even called the persecuted one “blessed,” saying “rejoice and be glad for your reward in heaven is great” (See Matthew 5:10-12).

God’s people have always faced persecution. The prophets were reviled, tortured, and killed (Hebrews 11:37). History records that ten of Jesus’ disciples were executed for preaching Christ. Tradition states that Peter insisted on being crucified upside down because he counted himself unworthy to die in the same manner as his Lord. Yet he wrote, “If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you” (1 Peter 4:14). The apostle Paul was jailed, beaten, shipwrecked, and stoned numerous times for preaching Christ, but he considered suffering not even worth mentioning compared to the reward he knew awaited in paradise (Romans 8:18).

Following Jesus doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll lose your possessions, family, friends, and physical life, but are you willing?

While the cost of discipleship seems high, persecution brings earthly and heavenly rewards. Through persecution, the Lord stays with believers (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5); He knows their limits and gives grace (1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Corinthians 12:9); He rewards them in heaven (Matthew 5:10-12); He works persecution for good, shaping the believer’s character and glorifying Himself (Romans 8:28). The rewards far outweigh the cost of following Jesus!

Jesus suffered and died on the cross to take the believer’s punishment for sin. The only way of forgiveness and eternal life is through faith in the Lord Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9). Although a Christian’s enduring persecution does not add any saving merit to the perfect work of Christ, a true believer will faithfully follow Jesus through suffering.

"So what!"

"So what? You must be kidding. You signed a contract - you sealed a covenant at Mount Sinai that you wouldn't eat that stuff. You were there. All Jewish souls that were ever to be born were there. As a matter of fact," I added, "looking at you now, I think I remember you. We all pledged to uphold the covenant."

He looked at me in disbelief. "Lady, you know something, you need help and I mean serious help!"

And with that, he picked himself up, walked back toward his seat and told the stewardess as he passed her in the aisle, "That woman is off the wall!"

For the remainder of the flight, he didn't look my way.

At JFK we met once again at the baggage carousel, and he said to me, "You know, what you said is nuts!"

If I’m wrong, explain to me in very simple language—where and how did today’s dogs get their eyes?

And while you are at it, explain how it is that we have millions of species--all with male and female, all reproducing after their own kind…just as the Bible says. I had logically reached these conclusions before I had read a word of the Bible or being born again (personally knowing, not mere knowing about, Christ). So, my dear C12*, have no fear of shaking my beliefs: I am my beliefs, they are not mere mental conclusions which can be over ruled by different or superior reasoning.

What I am saying as that knowledge can give a valid indication of truth, but truth- being eternal, not temporal- is not the same as correct knowledge. And, since truth is not a thing but an eternal person (God) and since temporally we have a free will; then the validation of truth is a subjective experience <no less real and as unmistakable as laboratory conclusions.

I personally do not believe it is possible for a woman to rape a man, since I define rape as sexual male violence done to females, involving penile penetration orally,vaginally,or anally. But even then I am conflicted, because the term rape also carries a historical context, in which rape has been, as is still largely used a tool by men to keep women subordinate, take away their autonomy, dehumanize them, impregnate, spread disease etc. Rape is used as a weapon during times of war, in which historically more women are killed during the organized mass rapes then the men who die in combat.

He also said, “Which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost? … So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:28, 33).

Many people come to Christ without first counting the cost. The cost includes repentance, the forsaking of sin, and a continual, daily, open acknowledgment of Christ in your life.

Fourth, you must take a definite step.

One day at Stanford University, a student of a non-Christian faith came to me and said he was convinced that Jesus is the Son of God but said he couldn’t confess Him publicly. He said that back in his own country the cost socially would be too great.

I had to tell him that the Bible says: “Whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33).

Like the rich young ruler of old, the student went away sad. He had counted the cost and was not able to pay the price of open acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as his Savior.

We ask people to make a public confession of Christ in our meetings because Christ demanded a definite commitment. Christ had reasons for demanding that people openly follow Him. He knew that an unwitnessed vow is no vow at all. Until you have surrendered to Christ by a definite act of your will, you are not a Christian.

Billy Graham has confused discipleship with salvation.

The apostle Paul writes to the saints in Rome (Romans 1:7). Paul pleads with the saints in Rome to “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” to the Lord (Romans 12:1-2). Now if discipleship were required to be saved, then these people could not have been saints. The Bible tells us that Paul wrote (under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) the book of Romans to the saints (meaning they were saved)...

Romans 1:6-8, “Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.”

Billy Graham is corrupted, big time! In the same article and link that I just shared with you, Graham teaches that the rich young ruler in Luke 18 “had counted the cost and was not able to pay the price of open acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as his Savior.” That is bull crap theology ladies and gentlemen. Would you please read John 12:42-43 with me, proving Mr. Graham a fraud... “Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”

You just read it! Many of the chief rulers believed on Jesus, but due to fear of being kicked out of the synagogue, DIDN'T tell anyone that they were saved. They hid their faith from others. According to Billy Graham's false Gospel, these men were not saved. According to Billy they weren't willing to pay the price of confessing Christ publicly, so they weren't saved. Isn't that a bunch of nonsense that Billy Graham is dishing out! Billy Graham is paid $633,722 a year, to lead people into the fires of Hell, by getting them to live the Christian life without being born-again!!! Ladies and gentleman, that is a false gospel of works salvation!!! Billy Graham is of the Devil.

If the value of Liberty is based on the existence of God, what happens when society loses it’s belief in God? What then sustains this value? If He doesn’t exist, why does freedom matter? We might argue that freedom is good, but why? I’ve discussed this matter with Bay Area Guy and while both of us are non religious, we both nevertheless believe that the idea of God is a force for good in society. If we remove God, morality dies along with Him. As Dostoyevsky said: “If God is dead, then everything is permitted.” Atheism leads to one dead end: Social Darwinism.

If God is dead, why bother being moral? Why not let nature take its course and let the big fish dominate all the smaller fish? Furthermore, if liberty is based on the existence of God, and as God is gradually killed off by post-modern society, could this then explain the disturbing erosion of our freedoms? Is this why NSA surveillance is on the rise? Is the State destined to replace God as the omnipresent apparition of observation and judgement?

My cynical 2 cents: gets a pass because m-t-f transgender who is often assumed to be an “Asian woman” because of the name. Until I saw pictures, this was my assumption because if you don’t see pics and only read text, well…

Seeing the Twitter ID pic had me think “She doesn’t look Asian… Looks white. Half or married to an Asian?” and thought nothing further on it.

Then saw pictures of “her” in an interview whimpering about discrimination against women.

VERY cynical thought that came after: talentless hack who couldn’t get into the industry as a guy because he’d be expected to perform based on skill and merit riding the women studies grievance gravy train.

Initially I thought the huge boobs on the characters and costumes would not bug me… until the creator weren’t constantly bitching about the sexualization of women characters. Before that, I just thought that the character models were badly made/designed and ugly (Seriously, 1990 game graphics look better) and looked amateurish – almost beginner level low rez 3D model attempts.

But that is after reading Wu’s behavior online.
