"Son of Man" is a common mistranslation, preferred by liberals, which obscures Jesus's divinity. Jesus used an artful phrase to convey his divinity without committing the capital offense of blasphemy, which would have terminated His ministry before it completed.

A better English translation which conveys the divinity would be "The Son as Man." In other words, simply replace "of" with "as" to restore the intended implication of divinity, without committing blasphemy under the strict rules of the time. The versatility of "as" in modern English conveys the meaning of the awkward, unusual Greek phrase better than "of" does.

The use of the phrase in Mark 10:45 illustrates the flaws in the "Son of Man" and the superiority of the "Son as Man" as the English translation:

I am always fascinated by the assumptions inherent in this kind of question. Have you ever considered them? It assumes, first of all, that Hell is inherently evil. Why? Because, in our minds, it is unfair to humans. Which is to say that it is an injustice against humans. Which is to say that it is a sin against humans.

We humans are happy to love a God that does not offend us. We are happy to love a God that gives us what we want, provides for our needs, and accepts us with all of our faults. If he does not do these things, he is apparently unworthy of our love. And if he strikes us for offending him, then he is in the wrong. He should be judged by us and condemned if he sins against us.

So, you can see, then, that we agree that sin should be punished. We simply disagree on who God is. If God is God, then He is in the right, and our offense against Him deserves to be punished. But if humanity is God, then we are in the right, and God deserves to be punished for have the audacity of imposing on our sovereign self-determination.

Good luck enforcing your discipline on God. Good luck creating a Heaven where you can live eternally apart from God. Which, consequently, is the definition of Hell.

“Metaphors involving meat could gain an increased intensity if the killing of animals for food becomes less socially acceptable,” Shareena Z. Hamzah of Swansea University wrote in the Conversation.

“If veganism forces us to confront the realities of food’s origins, then this increased awareness will undoubtedly be reflected in our language and our literature.”

The legal system is already getting to grips with the subject. It was announced this week that a British employment tribunal will decide whether ethical veganism is a “philosophical belief” that should be afforded the same protections as religion.

The reasons true “born-again” Christians can escape this Judgment is as follows:

1. They acknowledged their own sinfulness and repented (changed their mind, are going the other way towards God).

2. They humbled themselves and realized that they are not capable of being good enough on their own. Because if they could be good enough on their own it would mean that either they are wrong, arrogant and self-righteous, and not nearly as good as they think they are, or that God is just really not all that good.

3. They believe and trust in Jesus that He is the Son of God, God in the flesh, who came to Earth and stood in their place as a substitution for them who paid for all of their sins on the cross. They can escape dying for their sins and going to Hell because Jesus died for their sins for them. Fortunately, Jesus conquered sin, death, and Hell.

4. They allow Jesus to be the Lord of their lives from that point forward. They obey God’s laws to the best of their ability and when they fall short they confess it, repent, and trust in Jesus that they are forgiven for it. They no longer live ungodly but because of God’s grace saving them they persevere over the temptations in the world.

5. They allow the Holy Spirit of God to Guide and Transform them and help them become more like Jesus. They don’t walk by the flesh, but by the Spirit of God inside of them. They allow Him to heal, deliver, and empower them to live a life worthy of someone with God’s approval.

Christians (as a whole group) are not necessarily better people they are just people who are trusting in Jesus to pay for their sins and to transform them. Everyone else either thinks they are already good enough (good luck!), or thinks that they can make themselves good enough on their own (good luck!), or thinks that God isn’t real, just, and going to judge them. But He will.

So get right with Jesus… He’s the ONLY SURE-FIRE way.

You shouldn't even dignify these people with negotiation. You are behind enemy lines and should act accordingly.

Protect yourself. Reject them aggressively and with absolutely zero regards to their feelings. Treat them like they treat you. When they stand in from of you, turn away. When they force eye contact, make a face of disgust.

They don't treat white men like this.

They believe two rocks collided in space to form the earth and moon, somehow becoming rounded. So how did all the other planets in our solar system form and settle in their respective orbits? Life, they say, started with cosmic dust striking the earth, which somehow formed water, somehow created life, somehow evolved into thousands of different species, somehow produced intelligent humans with spirits (but animals that do not), and they cannot account for the sin-nature or the desire to worship God in mankind's very being. Avengers: Infinity War Twists Biblical Truth!

As people around the world were introduced to the complex character that is Thanos in the latest 'Avengers: Infinity War,' many, especially Christians, may not have noticed the obvious anti-christ message that is throughout the film. This shouldn't come as a surprise as Marvel is not only a secular enterprise, but one of entertainment, meant not only distract, but also indoctrinate the masses into subtle ideologies that point to the earliest myths of the Sumerian pantheon. It is this play on the old Sumerian mythos that allows for the mocking of Yahweh. But moreover, an informed Christian would notice the many Bible passages that may have played a role in conceptualizing the Thanos character, or aid his actions in the film. These are just my opinions after watching the film, let me explain why I feel this way.

WARNING! SPOILER ALERT!

1. The Only Mention of Jesus Christ
The film mentions Jesus' name once. In the scene, Tony Starks (Ironman) is conversing with StarLord (Peter Quill), on how to defeat Thanos. In response to Ironman talking trash to StarLord about what "Lord" he serves, a quick witted Quill retorted to the effect of, "Who do you think I answer to, Jesus?" (Might not have been the exact quote as I am writing this from memory). This implied that Jesus Christ is a myth in the Marvel universe, worthy of mockery, while the "real" superheroes are planning to defend against the psychotic alien trying to kill off half the population of the universe by taking it over.

2. Thanos Declares "I AM"
This particular phrase is known to be one used by God in the Old and New Testaments. The phrase was also played upon a lot in a previous Avengers film, 'Age of Ultron' where both Ultron and Vision (Mind stone) quote the phrase, as if they are declaring they are God! But ironically similar to how polemic literature is found throughout the Bible, and other ANE writings, Thanos declaring himself as the "I AM" in "Infinity War" in particular, is not only a mocking of God in the Bible, but also portrays the fulfillment of the man of sin, who sits on the temple of God, declaring himself to BE GOD (2 Thess. 2:4).

Exodus 3:14 "God said to Moses, “ I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘ I AM has sent me to you.’”"

John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

3. Those Killed by Thanos are "SAVED"?
This one in particular was quite grotesque to the discerning Christian. Thanos' logic was based around the concept of finding balance with nature at all cost. The idea is one eerily familiar to conspiracy analysts, who have pointed out the strange markings on the Georgia Guidestone's that reads, "Maintain Humanity Under 500,000,000 in Perpetual Balance with Nature." It is suspected that the Guidestone's were built by a wealthy Rosicrucian whose ideas seemed to be familiar to that of the "globalist elite." Nevertheless, this philosophy of "balance with nature," was one that Thanos defaulted on frequently.

To put this philosophy into practice, Thanos spent much of his time going around conquering worlds, killing half of their respective population, while the other half is allowed to live and "thrive." In one flashback scene to the planet Zen-Whoberi, where Thanos adopts a young girl, Gamora, it shows the Thanos army taking over the otherwise peaceful civilization, forcing people to choose between allegiance to Thanos, or death (Reflection of Mark of the Beast prophecy in Revelation 13 & foreshadowed in Daniel 2 with Nebudchanezzar and the image.) But the language used during the conquest was that of "salvation," honoring Thanos and thanking him for bringing this alleged new freedom. What is implied is that genocide at the hands of Thanos is actually a good thing for that civilization, similar to how Yahweh desired conquest of Canaan which lead Israel into salvation. This theme will reoccur as we look at other angles to why Thanos is the false depiction of Yahweh.

4. Twisting Biblical Theology
Christians might be familiar with the phrase, "God is good, all the time...and all the time, God is good!" This theology-in-a-phrase represents the concept that God is good, no matter what circumstances of the moment dictates. The analogy of the ant on a painting is often used; the ant, thinking he is walking across the most rigorous terrain of mountain's and valley's with changing colors and textures, doesn't realize that he is actually walking on the most beautiful conceivable painting, which is only possible to see if one steps far away from the painting. If we are to abuse the analogy, Thanos' painting is basically one of those really ugly nonsensical modern scribbles. That is to say, his idea of "ultimate good" is flawed, especially since it's predicated on the concept of "balance with nature."

5. The Infinity Stones Themselves
In the film, the Infinity Stones each have a particular characteristic. They are as follows, Space, Reality, Power, Soul, Mind, and Time. It has been my opinion since the first they introduced the Thanos character on screen, that the infinity stones were modeled after the Sumerian Me (meh). In Sumerian mythos like "Enki and the World Order" and "Inanna and Enki: The Transfer of the Arts of Civilization from Eridu to Uruk" the Me are mentioned as powerful objects of power. There are several more than 6 categories of power that can be obtained with each Me. Here are some example: Godship, Truth, Descent into the nether world, Ascent from the nether world, Power, Enmity, The destruction of cities, Terror, Victory, Judgment, and many more.

The idea of Thanos obtaining the 6 stones to gain power might have parallels to reality, especially concerning future events foretold in the Bible. For example, the second half of Revelation 13:2 says, "...And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority." The "it" here is the final conglomerate beast headed by the Antichrist or man of sin. Notice that he is given power, throne, and authority. Power is clearly one of the Me's on the list, as is The throne of kingship. While there is not an identical "authority" Me on the list, it could be argued that "Law," "Judgment," and "Decision" would fall under the heading. It's unclear if this connection to the Biblical antichrist was intentional, or unintentional depictions of biblically eschatological events. But, given the Sumerian cosmological framework, it would reduce Yahweh (or the Antichrist...however you interpret it) into a mere mortal, proclaiming to be a lower case g-god, seeking power in this finite world. Such an idea is diametrically opposed to the one true God, who is the Creator of all.

6. Cursed with Knowledge
In one scene, when Thanos is giving a pretty heavy beating on Ironman, Thanos stops and admires him. Something about the character of Tony Starks intrigued Thanos, as he mentioned the both of them were "cursed with knowledge." This is another line rich with biblical reference. Of course there is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that was forbidden to be eaten in the garden of Eden. But it's not likely that his mention of being "cursed with knowledge" was an acknowledgment of being in a fallen state (especially since he's not technically human). But more likely, this is the depiction of "ye shall be as gods" as promised by the shinning one, the ancient serpent; a lie that would lead one to seek infinite power over the universe.

Genesis 4 recounts of the descendants of Cain, who built the first city named Enoch. Within the city were many developments in technology necessary for civilization. The knowledge gained happens to overlap with some of Me discussed earlier (ex. metal workings). The book of Enoch fills in the colors of this event by suggesting that this was forbidden knowledge being passed down from the Watchers to humanity. This get's into divine council theology that I don't have room for here. But rest assured, it's all over the Bible. The judgment of these Watchers is outlined in Psalm 82, which again is quoted by Jesus in John 10:34 to prove His deity (this passage does not teach that humans are gods as some suggest.)

The bottom line is that we do live in a world where forbidden knowledge was passed to humanity. But the track record for humanity isn't good, since destruction seems to follow every major technological development. But getting back to the ideals of Thanos, in this particular instance, the burden of having so much knowledge somehow gives him the right to act in a different set of morals, one that happens to be quite destructive for everyone else.

7. The Sacrifice of a Child
When half of the people of the planet Zen-Whoberi were being slaughtered by Thanos' army, the number two guy announced that all the people killed would become "children of Thanos." The irony was in the that Thanos himself actually found favor in a little girl named Gamora, who later rebelled against her adopted father (she is one of the Guardians of the Galaxy and love interest with StarLord, Peter Quill). In fact, the concept of Gamora rebelling against her father is similar to the account of the satan, the adversary, whose pride turned him away from the Father. In this context, Thanos is depicted as the unjust "Father" with the righteous rebellious Gamora as the "Lucifer" good character.

In a dramatic scene to acquire the soul stone, Thanos sacrifices his own adopted daughter Gamora. Of course, the theme of the father sacrificing the child as a ransom to acquire something is obvious. But the prize of that sacrifice is what is being used to manipulate the unwitting Christian. In the biblical account, the sacrifice of Jesus, His one and only begotten Son, was to pay for the sins of all mankind for all eternity. In the case of Thanos, the sacrifice was for the single purpose of achieving more power, in order to become more godlike in the Marvel universe. To the subconscious mind of the Christian, the message being implanted was one of equating the lack of morals in Thanos with the alleged lack of morals in Yahweh. But it's clear when spelled out in this way, that the object of that sacrifice is what differentiates between the Gospel message, and Thanos the villain.

As a side note, the sacrifice takes place between two pillars, a motief that represents Boaz-Jachin and the pillars at the entrance of Solomons temple. The idea being that it represented the gates to heaven. Perhaps in the case of Thanos, it was actually his own gate to hell.

8. The day of rest
When Thanos was asked what he would do if he accomplished his mission, he simply replied, "rest." As a spoiler, he achieves his objective and half of the population dies (more on that next). Thanos is then depicted on a peaceful mountainous garden, where he sat and looked way too content. In other words....rest. Of course, a mocking of God's 7th day of rest after creation is in reference here.

9. The Rapture Event
The film ends with half of the population of the universe fading away into dust (Gen. 3:19, Ps. 104:29). Not only is the "dust to dust" at play here, but the event is depicted similarly to how the rapture event has been interpreted. While there is an in house debate about the timing of the rapture, some have argued that a rapture doesn't exist at all in the bible. Let me refute that quickly by stating that in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, the word for "caught up" in the Greek is Harpazo, which translated into Latin, became Rapturo, which became the English, Rapture. So yes, there is a rapture in the Bible. But the harvest is one where God saves and protects. In the case of Thanos, the saving and protecting are for the ones left behind, not the ones taken. In other words, as he stated himself, an equilibrium had to be forced upon all of creation to "balance nature."

He even stated that he was the only one who had the fortitude and guts to actually pull it off. So salvation was for the ones who lived, not the ones killed. So while Christians may have been triggered with thoughts of the biblical rapture, in reality, the messaging was one that twists the reality of the Scriptures, and turns what is meant to be a glorious event that God carries out, and depict it as the most epic act of evil in comic book history.

CONCLUSION
It's clear that Thanos was inspired by Yahweh in one way or another. But the manifestation of the character seemed to have occurred through the filter of ancient Sumerian mythology, and thus, minimizing the one true God of the Bible. While most folks would argue that films like these are merely meant for entertainment, it's impossible to ignore the correlations here.

What does the Bible say about ‘Thanos and his ‘Infinity Stones”?

As Christians, there is so much we can say about this very popular ‘hot topic’, but it’s simply not worth our precious time dwelling on it for too long. However, I do want to address it a little as the whole ‘Avengers Infinity War’ craze is influencing millions of children all around the world, so it’s another great opportunity to share the TRUTH with them.

So, here are some of the immediate things that I think about when I look at ‘Thanos and his quest for the Infinity Stones’.
The Gauntlet

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: – Genesis 3:22

The very first mention of the word “hand” in Scripture is just after man has sinned against God for the first time. So it’s interesting that in order to acquire all the ‘universal power’ that this Thanos character desires, he needs SIX (the number of man and the beast – Revelation 13:18) stones to insert in a ‘glove’ he wears on his hand. If he gets all of these stones, then he can pretty much do whatever he wants in the universe, including completely destroying all life in it.

Now of course, this particular situation is just comic book fiction, BUT, in reality there IS indeed one who wants (and has always wanted) this same power and worship – Satan, the Devil.

From before time began for man, Lucifer (as was Satan’s original, good name) has wanted ultimate power, and to be like God Almighty. This is what caused him to rebel against God in the first place – the sin of pride:

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. – Isaiah 14:12-14.

During the Tribulation period (the terrible 7 years of time that is fast approaching), standing in the midst of the development of the third temple in Jerusalem, the Antichrist (another ‘label’ for the Devil) will declare himself to be God:

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) – Matthew 24:15.

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate … And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. – Daniel 11:31, 36-38.

The Antichrist will profess to be God in the flesh (2 Thess. 2). And as such, he will install himself as the object of worship (Rev. 13).

Satan has always desired to be like God. He wasn’t happy with what he was given; he wanted to be on the same level as God Almighty.

God created Lucifer the most beautiful being, covered in all sorts of precious stones:

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. – Ezekiel 28:13-15.

But when Lucifer sinned and rebelled against God, he was thrown out of Heaven, and then given the new name of Satan – the deceiver.

That’s another interesting thought about Thanos’ need for these precious stones, and that he cannot do anything without them. It’s almost like an example of Satan’s original beauty and status that he so desperately wants to get back.
The Infinity Stones

I’ve taken a quick look at each of these fictional stones and their fictional meanings, and had some immediate Bible verses spring to mind as I read (there’s so many other verses!). I’ve listed them here for you to read and study yourself, which hopefully will then give you confidence to witness to your friends and family who enjoy all the Avengers stuff, about the TRUTH as written in God’s word.
Space Stone

Creates interstellar bridges from one end of space to the other.

I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. – 2 Corinthians 12:2.

Paul was caught up from Earth into Heaven.

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. – Acts 8:39.

Philip was transported miles in a blink of an eye.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. – 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

All saved Christians will be caught up in the air in a twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52) to meet the Lord Jesus Christ.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. – Hebrews 11:5.

Enoch was translated from Earth to Heaven immediately.

Only God Almighty can do all this, and He doesn’t need any gauntlet or precious stones! God is Omnipresent.
Mind Stone

Primarily used to control minds.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. – 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.

The greatest and most difficult battlefield today is not found in ‘Wakanda’ or on another planet, it’s in our minds.

The god of this world is Satan, and he blinds the minds of people from the Truth of God’s word and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Devil does this through many various methods, such as keeping us as busy as possible with the things of the world.

People are so distracted with what the world is doing or has to offer, that they simply do not have time to think about the things of God – Bible, life, death, eternity, love, compassion, and so on. This is what Satan wants, because by keeping people away from the Truth of the Bible, he is keeping them on the road to Hell. He also uses false teachings, religions, ‘good’ deeds, and many other deceptions to achieve his goal of sending as many people as possible to Hell when they die.

God Almightly wants to make you free from this deception:

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. – John 8:32.

He wants you free from the bondage of sin, and offers His salvation free of charge to anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ.

God is Omniscient.
Reality Stone

Turns matter into dark matter by binding with a host and absorbing their life force.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. – John 8:41-44.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:11-12.

Everyone is born with the Devil as their father, because everyone is born in sin. The Devil enjoys keeping his children in the bondage of sin and darkness. He destroys them through drugs, war, violence, crime, diseases, deception, etc.; this is the reality of life.

Satan wants people dead as quickly as possible so that they don’t have time to learn about and accept the free gift of salvation that God offers everyone through the Lord Jesus Christ’s blood and His death, burial, and resurrection.

In order for a person to get into Heaven when they die, they MUST be born again in this life by the Spirit of God (John 3:3). Learn how this is done, by visiting the Salvation page.
Power Stone

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. – Matthew 28:18.

Absolute and unlimited.

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; – 2 Timothy 4:1.

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; – 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9.

When the Lord Jesus Christ returns, it won’t be as a baby in manger again. No sir, He means business!

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. – 2 Peter 3:9-10.

God is Omnipotent.
Time Stone

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) – 2 Corinthians 6:2.

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. – Proverbs 27:1.

God lives in eternity where He alone controls everything. No one knows when He will return, so you must come to Him today for salvation before it’s too late!
Soul Stone

Not much is known, but is considered the greatest threat out of all six Infinity Stones.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. – Genesis 2:7.

And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy1 soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. – Luke 12:16-21.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. – Matthew 10:28.

Everyone is a living soul. The body dies, but the soul does not – it goes to either Heaven or Hell. Dying without Christ is the greatest threat to every unsaved person, because it means that your soul will spend eternity in Hell and torments. Get right with God today to guarantee your place in Heaven.
Final Thoughts

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. – Genesis 1:1.

Friend, God Almighty is the Creator of all things. He loves you and wants you to be with Him in eternity when you die. If you are not a saved Christian, then make sure you get right with God today, because without Him, you are condemned in this life, and also after you die, where you will spend eternity in Hell. This won’t be God’s fault (nothing is), it will be YOURS, because you have rejected the free gift of salvation that He has provided through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Make sure that your ‘Avengers loving friends’ also know about this!

And remember, the Devil is already a defeated foe. When God is finished with him, his eternal destination is the lake of fire; DON’T go there with him!

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. – Revelation 20:9-10.

Oh yes…

Just because we can see the Devil in the Thanos character, does NOT mean that we can see God in the Avengers characters. Certainly NOT! But that’s for another post in 2019 perhaps.

What kind of punishment will God doll out to our nation for this open disobedience and rebellion? What punishments did God give out to past civilizations for this kind of dark behaviour? Why would anyone want to bring that down on our heads? What can be done to correct the course? How do we get the entire industry to move away from celebrating darkness? Family Friendly Gaming constantly tries to educate everyone to join us into the light. We won’t force you. We won’t coerce you. We won’t brow beat you. If you choose that path that leads to destruction we will pray you turn from those wicked ways.

I talk to a variety of different kinds of gamers to understand where they are coming from. I talk to a variety of people in video game companies at different levels. I talk to a variety of PR and Marketing people to see what trends they are seeing. The troubling trend of embracing darkness over light is strong in the video game industry. I openly admit this trend is scary on multiple different fronts. I have sounded the alarm. You choose how to react to it.

I had a terrible summer when it comes to my gender dysphoria. It got so intense, right after the Atlantic thing, and then Blood and Visions weirdly made it a lot worse, and all the way through me graduating my dysphoria was killing me. It was SO disheartening, because I’m committed to never doing anything like HRT or cutting my body up, mostly because I’m trying to be in really good shape in my 90’s. But it’s super disheartening when you’re in an episode like that and it feels like it’ll just be your whole life, and the only option is putting up with it or wrecking your pelvic floor.

And then I stopped waitressing. I started working full time as an LPC, suddenly I was going WEEKS without anyone at my workplace making comments about my body. Indeed as an LPC it’s kind of my job, if anyone does make a comment about my body, to make a big deal about boundaries and what boundaries are appropriate in the therapy room. That is the OPPOSITE of being a waitress/a receptionist/ legal assistant/barback/ working at a union. That’s such a huge difference in my working day.

Then at the same time I finally get feedback in my life that’s proof of my own self-efficacy, in that this long terrible grad school process finally produced a degree.

My gender dysphoria has been, for the past month, on vakay. I barely have been thinking about my body, except if I’m hungry or my back hurts or I’m feeling particularly energized and good. But not those obsessive thoughts about “oh my body is shaped so funny” or “everyone’s looking at my body” or “I can’t do anything in this body” or “I’m trapped in this body.” Guys and gyns, me barely thinking about my body is UNREAL. IT’S SO GOOD. IT’S SO FUN TO NOT THINK THAT MUCH ABOUT THE SHAPE OR APPEARANCE OF MY BODY.

What’s even crazier about not thinking that much about my body is that for most of September I was having pretty good naked times, and naked times have historically been prime triggers for my gender dysphoria. (The naked times have come to an end, in the calmest and non-distressing breakup I’ve ever experienced, so even though they’re over I still consider the whole thing a win?)

So we go from a July/August crazy intense GD episode to near-extinction in September. My conclusion is I think my GD is so much about stress and self-efficacy. I get those obsessive thoughts when the world has given me lots of feedback that I’m totally powerless. If I’m getting feedback that I’m capable of having some impact in the outer world, and if I’m not only allowed but strongly encouraged to enforce boundaries, my GD seems to want to take a break.

Now, the patterns to my GD don’t mean much about your GD. I’m just saying what do you know about your GD if you haven’t tracked it? Also what would you rather not know about your GD? Are there aspects to your GD you’d really rather not acknowledge?

Because I get it, I get wanting that surgery and wanting that beard and just wanting to plow through and not wait any longer. But what you don’t want to acknowledge will end up fucking you up. You have to force yourself to be super real about your GD. If your therapist is anything like how mine were, they will not force you to be very real about your GD. If the people in the community you know are anything like the people I knew, they will tell you thinking too hard about your GD is internalized transphobia. So this is on you.

Other people have not signed any kind of agreement with a higher power to give you good advice. Other people are not particularly invested in how your life turns out. You are actually the only person responsible for the advice you listen to and the consequences you have to live out because of the advice you chose to listen to. Believe you me, when shit goes south, all those people who told you to jump in and waste no time will swear they didn’t say it like that.

Track your GD for at LEAST a year. Whatever the consequences of taking T are for you, you will live out those consequences for SO MUCH LONGER than a year. Don’t accept your own bullshit, no matter what social incentives there are for accepting your own bullshit. You will create exceptionally dumb and hard situations to have to navigate. In the end no matter how it all pans out the lesson is the same- we create what we end up experiencing. Yes, in a world that is violent and dumb and unfair and a shitpile. But in this shitpile we still make our own choices, and get a lot of data back about what our choices create. Track that data now so you can think a little clearer about what kind of data you want to get a year from now.
