We did not have vegetables that night.

A few months earlier, we were in a Vancouver restaurant enjoying an amazing porchetta sandwich. The doors on this restaurant’s restrooms struck me as subversively old fashioned. Instead of plain white triangles or “all gender” notations, these two washrooms had two different labels. One said “meat” and the other said “bread.”

Is food gendered? It sounds ridiculous. But what does it mean that my wife and I immediately knew that brats and fries for dinner were more appropriate to celebrate our baby boy than kale and candied beets? What does it mean that everyone in that Vancouver restaurant knew which bathroom to use, simply by the “meat” or “bread” signs on the door? Why is it that meat and bread—or meat and vegetables—pair so well together?

It’s because they are not the same. They are different—beautifully different—in ways that enhance and bring the best out of the other. They are dignified, not diminished, by their complementary differences. They are part of a ordered cosmos of binaries—man and woman, light and dark, land and sea, salty and sweet—that bring structure, coherence, and irresistible beauty to life.

I agree that there is a chance I, or someone I know, would be one of those 4 billion. I would list a specific number of dependents who would get the 4 quadrillion (4 billion x 1 million, correct me if I am wrong) in case I get selected. The automated arms will continue hopefully in case I am selected. In fact it isn’t even about the money. I would choose to have the 4 quadrillion divided equally among the 3 billion left. That’s 1 million to every man, woman, child, baby, grandpa, grandma, etc.

I understand that a few great people who had made great contributions to society might get selected. Natural-born leaders, inspirational speakers, talented doctors, etc. After the year, humanity might be forced to have a rough start. But the human will is amazing and I am sure they will get back on track in a short time. Hopefully though, they would learn from our mistakes and try not to repeat the errors of the past.

That is the good thing about random. There is no bias. Unlike the movie 2012 (image used above) where rich people were able to buy seats, the randomness of this button means Obama has the same chances as the Pope, the IS leaders, the sick cancer elder, the poor homeless child.

Humans are overpopulating the planet, and affecting every other living creature here for their sake. Not doing this for myself.

Doing this for the planet first. And humanity’s future second.

Every survivor is made a millionaire instantly. As the few lucky to have survived, they should take this time to reflect on what happened, and consider changing ways for the future. Enough with selfish greed and crab mentality. They are given a chance at a fresh clean start. Whether they take this chance, or waste it and repeat the mistakes of the past, we will never know yet. But the chance is there. No harm being optimistic.

The interesting thing is that many women who understand men’s experience and “know” what it’s like to feel like a man have no desire to be men.

Isn’t it strange then that the girl who has no experience with men or any understanding beyond caricature wants to be a boy? Meanwhile the woman who knows men IRL and understands their experience is happy with being a woman?

I've met a number of feminine FTMs, and they are usually straight (sometimes bi) women who fetishize gay men. They then complain about how "phallocentric" gay men are (I shit you not). Partly they may be seeking to be able to have a relationship with a man without that undercurrent (or more) of misogyny to contend with, too. They usually assume I identify as a man on sight because of my hair and how I dress. (Yep, that's real progressive for straight women to assume the lesbian must want to be a man. Shit like that in the QT community contributed to alienating me from being proud as a gender non-conforming woman as I was raised to take pride in my nonconformity to hating my physical body and sexed organs and getting a referral to an endocrinologist I fortunately never could get to.)

I think it has a lot to do with how things that get girls judged as dumb and superficial are seen as making boys cool and special. Imagine trying to be David Bowie, but female. It's a real drag. Most FTMs I know have been victims of horrible sexual abuse. I think there’s an element of rejecting traits associated with pain and abuse. I think there’s also not fitting in with societal expectations (enjoying STEM, sports, etc) and not living in an environment affirming of those preferences.

I think the way you’ve framed the issue makes it hard to be relatable. I think most TiMs and FiMs have dysphoria making it emotionally difficult to come to terms with physical realities.

For all the things I do not like about TRAs and the toxicity of the movement, I do think these are people who deserve some empathy for going through tough things.

If I can shape and fashion a Biblically acceptable God who owns the entire universe and who dictates the terms and conditions of all who have a future hope in living in peace and harmony for all eternity, here on planet Earth...then certainly a clever and responsible 'being' could be shaped and fashioned by sharper, keener laws that have perhaps escaped my abilities...My version says that Almighty God exists because, whilst residing in Heaven...he broke the hidden code of nature and discovered that an indestructible energy can deliver an indestructible spirit that can discover, and formulate, all scientific knowledge that that universe offers, accurately and precisely...and that could only benefit those who are prepared to listen. Those that did listen counted in their great multitudes and because they were given such a rewarding life they stick with their Deity through thick and thin...and all this is recorded in the Holy Bible for those who read it honestly and openly and who have sidestepped the obvious traps that iniquity sponsor within it for their own benefits.

Those that cannot find the same faith, for whatever reason, will always be troublesome, working blindly for greed and selfishness, spitefully and inharmoniously, and so God has decreed that the next global event that will affect every person, the quick and the dead, at that time, and which is foretold in Revelation and on YouTube, will have to suffer the natural consequences of their disobedience...This is summed up in Revelation 21:8...where the disobedient will be whisked off to a future best described as eternal damnation...because the part of you that cannot die will be evicted from this planet, and into a sulphurous, fiery planet, for all eternity. Satan is busy building his defenses but they are like matchwood against a very forceful, electric universe and a righteous God.
