I never noticed this matter because I rarely think of homosexuality. Generally, I only think about of the topic of homosexuality when the media mentions the subject.

The group of more than 200 rabbis wrote the letter in support of Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Aryeh Stern whose comments against LGBT adoption have created a stir.

In the wake of Israel passing a law to prevent gay couples from obtaining children through surrogates, massive protests erupted in Jerusalem Sunday, drawing upwards of 100,000 people.

LGBT activists were decrying the Israeli government’s claim that it would be an “additional burden” on the child to be adopted by a same-sex couple.

Then, Rabbi Stern whipped LGBT groups into frenzy by reportedly stating it is a “fact that kids are entering very strange and unnatural lives of living without a mother and a father”. He also reportedly called acting out as an LGBT person “forbidden”.

In a letter, more than 200 orthodox rabbis backed him up.

“[He] simply voiced the eternal truth of our holy Torah and human normality, which the healthy majority in Israel identifies with,” the rabbis wrote in that letter.

They accused LGBT groups of using “aggressive terror accompanied by non-stop media brainwashing,” in attempts to turn “perverts into heroes.”

That LGBT agenda will not succeed nor will attempts to shut rabbis and sane people up and try to turn them into delusional extremists, the rabbis reportedly wrote.

“Rabbi Stern was protecting the children of Israel, who will be miserable if they aren’t adopted by normal families,” the rabbis claimed.

In some LGBT media, the idea children raised by gay couples would fare any worse was summarily dismissed.

In an article in Pink News, writer Josh Jackman defended the ability of same-sex couples to raise happy, well-adjusted children by pointing to a study that concluded children of same-sex couples are just as happy and healthy as children of straight parents.

There are studies that show either no differences between children raised in same-sex households and those in traditional families with a married mom and dad. Many of those studies have been criticized for methodological sloppiness.

And there’s a lot of evidence in other studies that show a family with a married mother and father remains the best way to raise a child.

In his study, Growing up with gay parents: What is the big deal?, Dr. Richard P. Fitzgibbons surveyed those studies.

Among his findings, Fitzgibbons noted when gay couples bring a child into the world with the help of a surrogate, that boy or girl is more likely to have trouble adjusting by the age of seven than other children.

Another difference the physician highlighted was revealed in a 2013 Canadian study which showed children of gay and lesbian couples are only about 65 per cent as likely to graduate from high school as children of married, traditional couples.

In addition, a 2009 study of women raised by gay or bisexual fathers showed they were less comfortable with closeness and intimacy, less able to trust and depend on others, and experienced more anxiety in relationships compared to women raised by heterosexual parents.

Other studies report rates of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and emotional problems being twice as high among children raised by same-sex parents as among the general population.

“An objective examination of social science research into how families function reveals clearly that children do best when raised by both a mother and a father,” concluded Fitzgibbons.

Prior to becoming Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger summarized what several scientific studies of same-sex couples have since indicated.

“The absence of complementarity in these unions (same sex) creates obstacles in the normal development of children who would be placed in the care of such persons,” wrote Ratzinger, then head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. “They would be deprived of the experience of either fatherhood or motherhood.

“Allowing children to be adopted by persons living in such unions would actually mean doing violence to these children, in the sense that the condition of dependency would be used to place them in an environment that is not conducive to their full human development,” he said.

The group, which consists of 75 educators, Torah lecturers, and wives of rabbis, was started by Dr. Leah Weisel, the Dean of Students at Israel’s religious Orot Israel College of Education. Rabbi Yaakov Menken, managing director of the Maryland-based Coalition for Jewish Values, provided LifeSiteNews with an English translation of their remarks.

Stressing that the family has “preserved [Israel’s] national integrity through the ages,” the group concludes that only “rely[ing] upon received Jewish Law” can “provide a complete answer [to modern challenges] without giving up on the eternal values of the Torah of Israel.”

The statement was motivated in part as a response to “gay pride” parades that took place in Israeli cities such as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv this summer, drawing international attention.

Israel has a variety of pro-LGBT policies in effect, including “anti-discrimination” provisions, open military service, same-sex adoption, and recognition of same-sex “marriages” performed aborad (Israel does not perform any civil marriages domestically). LGBT activists recently took to the streets to protest the passage of legislation disqualifying homosexual couples from surrogacy, however.

“What is remarkable is that [the 75 women], like the 200 rabbis, are not part of any group, they all joined together to sign this statement,” Menken told LifeSiteNews, referencing a coalition of rabbis that spoke out against LGBT activists last month. “The gay activists seem to have set off a firestorm, and now there is a sincere pushback coming from the traditional community, which is unwilling to sacrifice children on the altar of political correctness.

“If the data clearly shows that children raised outside traditional families are more likely to grow up into troubled adults, it is morally wrong to deliberately place children outside traditional families,” Menken continued. “And that's all we are saying.”

And those shootings would be justified and legal, since abortionists in the act are committing homicide against a living human being. Murder is illegal, and self-defense is a human right. Newborn babies are not excluded from this basic human right. Note that I am specifically not calling for any form of third-party violence against abortionists but rather affirming the right of the infant to protect her own life in an act of self-defense. (Yes, 50% of aborted babies are baby girls. Abortion is the mass murder of females.)

Of course, babies aren’t born with guns, which is why they are targeted by the Left… the same anti-life lunatics who also want to mass murder gun owners, by the way, by first disarming them through government confiscation mandates. Because babies are born defenseless, it is up to the adults of society to speak up for them and stop the mass murder of newborns that’s now being aggressively pushed, endorsed and applauded by the radical Left. They also started as a right-wing paramilitary group working with the colonial power (the OAS) but eventually went rogue.

I think there’s similar potential for the Loyalists in Northern Ireland.

They may even be the people to lead the Shire-folk in middle England in resistance to whatever fresh horrors London has planned for the English people.

The word “Eternal” is always defined as something that never ends.

It gets better! Vines Interlinear Greek/English Dictionary reveals that the word “life” in English has two in Greek-: Bios; refers to temporal life of the body. That's were we got the word Bio- logy( the NT was written in koinai Greek) ; the language familiar to Christ.

Now, in every passage in the NT where the word “life” is used conjoined with eternal applied to the gift of Life Eternal the Greek word is Zoë, not, Bios. Zoe refers to the conscience Spirit within all human kind. Never used to denote the temporal body-bios.

So,

The moment you believed you were gifted with Eternal Life(never ending).
Because life is eternal, by definition, there is never going to be a cessation of consciousness, because you have ZOE. not BIOS.

This is the problem with Atheists who try to talk about my God.

Their arguments are (when done right), lucid, well-thought, and completely irrelevant.

The intelligence or preparedness of the Atheist is irrelevant when he’s waving the equivalent of a plastic cafeteria knife around in a gunfight.

Abstract arguments NEVER trump personal experiences. NEVER. Conjecture is second to evidence, and should be.

There are many people who are convinced that the moon landing was fake, but I 100% guarantee you Neil Armstrong will never be one of them.

Do you really think there is even a single word that you could say which has anywhere near the weight of 23 years of personal interaction with my little brother?

Do you think any amount of “inconsistencies” are going to suddenly make me say “oh gee, I guess I’ve just been imagining him this whole time?”

So if there’s anything I would like Atheists to know, it’s this. When Christians talk about having a “relationship” with God, we aren’t speaking in code. There are no hidden double-meanings, it isn’t some sort of bizarre speech impediment.

I literally mean that my relationship with God is like my relationship with my brother.

God isn’t someone I read about in a dusty book that fits conveniently into the pew in front of me. He’s someone I talk with, go out to eat with, laugh with and sing with and cry with.

In other words, God is integral to my life. Without him, no part of my world even makes sense anymore. As CS Lewis said:

Atheists know about God.

Christians know God.

There is a difference. You can tell me what God’s reported to have said. I can tell you what His voice sounded like when He said it.

You’ll tell me that you don’t believe I can have that sort of relationship with a nonexistent entity.

I don’t care.

You are arguing in a field where I am the expert and you are the layman. Your evidence is not only insufficient, it’s inadmissible. Every single thing you can say about Him is hearsay!

Even the most fervent Atheist has only the theoretical supposition that his lack of experience with God can be extrapolated to the reality beyond his experience.

Whereas even the youngest and least mature true Christian has the bedrock certainty of “Of course he’s real. I actually know the guy.”

Facebook has waged war on science. Even though the American psychiatric community is in agreement that misgendering yourself is a mental disorder, Facebook has decided that reality is against their community standards. A new graphic, or meme, is circulating on Facebook and countless Christians (or others who embrace medical science) have been banned for sharing this simple image.

As I’m writing this, I am still banned from Facebook for posting an article that alleges the same as the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM5). You can read about that in the post, Facebook Bans Pulpit & Pen Publisher for Saying ‘Transgenderism’ a Mental Disorder.

It works like this; if you’re a man and you think you’re a duck, you have a mental disorder.

If you’re a man and you think you’re a house plant, you have a mental disorder.

If you’re a man and you think you’re a baby, you have a mental disorder.

If you’re a man and you think you’re a woman, you have a mental disorder.

It’s really not complicated.

The meme that has so many science-minded, factually-based denizens of reality now banned from Facebook is below.



No doubt, scribbling over “mental disorders” with the word “sin” (an altogether true statement, as ‘transgenderism’ is a consequence of the Fall of Man which corrupted our nature) was additionally triggering for Facebook, which apparently doesn’t believe people can state scientific facts or express religious opinions.

If you post this article or meme, you will likely be temporarily banned from using Facebook.

Hundreds of musicians in Indonesia have lashed out against what they say is a ludicrous draft bill that could “destroy” freedom of expression.

Among the most contentious aspects of the draft is Article 5, which outlaws “negative foreign influences” as well as blasphemous or pornographic content, punishable by imprisonment or a fine.

The article states: “In creating, everyone is prohibited from […] bringing negative influences from foreign cultures or demeaning a human being’s dignity.”

Jerinx, a member of the Indonesian punk-rock band Superman is Dead, is one of 200 musicians who have criticised the proposed legislation.

Writing on his Instagram account, Jerinx said the draft bill would “rape his rights of freedom of expression, and eventually destroy them”.

The Balinese drummer also pointed to what he described as “high-level hypocrisy” from the Indonesian government, given that President Joko Widodo is widely known as a fan of foreign heavy metal bands such as Metallica.

The exact target of the bill is unclear, although there is occasional uproar about the perceived immorality of foreign popstars.

In December a TV ad featuring members of the K-pop all girl band, Blackpink, which showed them wearing miniskirts and short dresses, was pulled after the broadcasting commission said it flouted decency and moral norms. In 2012 Lady Gaga was forced to cancel a sold-out concert in Jakarta after Islamic hardliners threatened to physically stop her from getting off the plane.

Indonesian musician Kartika Jahja said the bill, which “came out of nowhere”, had in recent days united artists from across the country and musical spectrum to form a coalition to reject the bill.

“Everyone is concerned because there are so many problematic chapters inside the draft,” Jahja told the Guardian, “For me personally the first one is the chapter that regulates the content of music, that it cannot contain negative influences from the West and blasphemy and so on. I think that is a very dangerous ground, if that bill is passed, to silence musicians because music is one of the greatest and biggest agitators for various social and political movements in this country.”

The coalition launched a petition against the draft law on change.org on Sunday evening, which by Monday had been signed by more than 65,000 people.

In addition to overlapping with existing copyright and other laws, the draft bill on music further contradicts Indonesia’s 1945 Constitution, which upholds freedom of expression in a democratic state, the petition states.

Designated as a priority bill by the House of Representatives, the draft bill has been widely condemned online, trending on Twitter with the hashtag #TolakRUUPermusikan, which translates as: “reject the draft music law”.

Concerned the bill will “shackle freedom of expression”, a group of Indonesian musicians met with lawmakers to discuss the it last week, calling for comprehensive discussion with artists and industry players and further consideration before the legislation is tabled.

When I was an atheist, I spent an inordinate amount of time & energy trying to disprove the Bible, God, Christianity, etc., and trying to discourage others from doing the same. It never occurred to me that, if it wasn't true, if it was just a stupid belief, then why was I SO obsessed with it, when there were so many other better uses of my time.
Obviously, the answer (which I eventually discovered) is that it's true... He's really our Creator. We didn't magically spring to life from some primordial ooze. Just look at the incredible complexity required for the simplest cell, or the fact that information could not have just appeared as complex DNA, the incredibly complex cell processes... all of it!
Do a sincerely honest and open-minded investigation of the scriptures (without falling for the critics accusations carte-blanche).
Join the many of us former atheists who were surprised at the results of a sincere look at the existence of God, the truth of the Bible, and the love of the One Who came to rescue us!
