Authorities found dozens of weapons, drugs, possible explosives and a still inside an underground bunker when they raided the home of a self-styled “medicine man” in North Carolina.

Reuben DeHaan operates two businesses, “Get Well Stay Well” and “Health Care Ministries International,” from his Kings Mountain home that investigators say earned $2.7 million over six years, reported the Charlotte Observer.

The 43-year-old DeHaan filed papers in 2010 renouncing his U.S. citizenship and challenging government authority, and he claims to be a minister of the Native American Church of Nemenhah — which claims to be a “healing-based religion.”

DeHaan sold naturopathic remedies, such as colloidal silver, to “detoxify” the body and cure diseases such as the Ebola virus.

But an attorney for the Native American Rights Fund described the church — which uses “sovereign citizen” tactics to challenge government authority — as nothing but “sham artists.”

Federal agents raided DeHaan’s home as part of a joint FBI/Internal Revenue Service investigation, and recently unsealed documents reveal a startling discovery beneath his front yard.

Agents said they discovered about 70 weapons, including high-powered rifles and ammunition, in a multi-room bunker, in addition to 10 more guns found inside DeHaan’s home and vehicles.

They also found food and beverages stored in the bunker, in addition to at least two 2,000-gallon water tanks, and materials investigators believe could be used to build a bomb — including including PVC piping, Tannerite, aluminum powder and 100 feet of fusing.

The underground bunker was outfitted with an air filtration system in case of a nuclear attack.

He also grew herbal remedies in the bunker, which he did not have a permit to build.

DeHaan avoided paying taxes since 1997 by claiming that his earnings were actually religious donations, but the IRS does not recognize Nemenhah as a tribe or a church.

He has been charged with tax evasion and attempting to interfere with administration of internal revenue laws.

His attorney described DeHaan, who held a passport issued by the World Government of World Citizens, as a “prepper” and gun collector.

Dehaan is not licensed by the state of North Carolina, and he’s not recognized by the North Carolina Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

“This is defrauding the public,” said Dr. Susan DeLaney, of the NCANP. “I mean really, would you go to see a mail order dentist?”

So, any "sex change" operation, no matter how skillful or elaborate, does not change that fact, a fact that is evident in every one of the trillions of cells in the transsexual's body, which will still show as being XX (female) or XY (male) under a microscope.

A "transsexual" can never become what he or she wants to be, and any "doctor" who would maim people who want to "transition" to the opposite sex is no health care provider and should be stripped of his medical license and be put in prison for a long, long time. How is this different from apotemnophilia?

That more and more segments of society refer to transsexuals (those who have had "sex-change" operations, which are nothing more than expensive, elaborate, and permanent Halloween costumes) and transgenders (wannabes of the opposite sex who have a warped sense of their "gender identity") as actually having become the opposite sex makes me feel like the little boy in the story "The Emperor’s New Clothes" and blows my mind! You can make a sign that says "Cow" and put it on a horse but, no matter what happens and no matter how many people believe the animal with the sign on it is a cow, it is still a horse. Society has gone completely mad! And wow, how fast it has! What an Alice in Wonderland world we now live in!

The transgender movement insists there is a distinct difference between the male and female brain; between the male and female soul. Those who “transition” are considered trapped in the wrong body — the dissonance between how they feel and think and their genitals is proof. Yes, they say, being male or female obviously matters, and there are clearly important differences.

We’re told that “men” have menstrual periods now. “Men” have abortions, too. (So much for the shiny trophy of “women’s reproductive freedom.”)

Even the liberal feminist theme show, favorite of college students everywhere, The Vagina Monologues, is now sexist and insensitive because it excludes those “women” who don’t have a vagina.

I can’t believe I even wrote the preceding paragraphs in earnest. It all sounds insane. It is insane.

In 2015, it’s just a matter of adding or removing pieces and parts, like playing with Mr. Potato Head. Or Mrs. Potato Head. (How long before that toy becomes just Potato Head Person? Any bets?)

I’ve had enough of misappropriated womanhood.

Bruce Jenner gets pumped full of female hormones, has cosmetic facial surgery, gets large breast implants, hair extensions, makeup and a push-up bra, and suddenly, he is supposedly a woman. That’s all it means to be a woman: big boobs, lingerie and makeup.

Never mind that his new breasts are useless. They’re just decoration, and garish decoration at that. They symbolize a superficial “womanhood” that’s empty of meaning or purpose beyond sexual arousal.

A woman’s breasts mean infinitely more than that. The human race can credit its entire survival up to our modern era on mothers’ breasts. Mother’s milk from mother’s breasts is an integral part of being a woman, whether the modern feminist likes it or not.

The female body is gloriously designed to grow and nurture new human life. It’s an undeletable part of the female code at the deepest level. Whether our wombs ever carry a child, or whether our breasts ever nurse a baby is irrelevant to the fact that our feminine physical nature was created for that miraculous purpose. It’s inextricable to womanhood.

That is not something any surgeon can replicate with silicone, nor any doctor with artificial hormones. Bruce Jenner’s surgeon has created a mannequin, not a woman.

Adding insult to injury is the exploitation of women’s reproductive parts in the service of manufacturing children. Women are merely “ovens” used to create babies conceived without sex for the satisfaction of same-sex couples, single parents and other couples who want to “design” their child according to their specifications.

Mothers are replaced with “donor eggs” and surrogate wombs, and neither will actually have any presence in the child’s life. Who needs a mom? All that’s wanted is the raw material and the human incubator, please.

This is a profane indignity to women, to womanhood and to motherhood. It once again reduces women to parts. Parts that can be bought, rented and used to satisfy someone else’s wants. We can’t yet grow our special-ordered kids in the lab; we still need God’s equipment to get the job done, so we gotta have some wombs to use.

Those who champion abortion, free contraception, same-sex “marriage” and surrogacy are the ones always screaming that Republicans, conservatives, and especially Catholics, treat women like “breeders” without brains or any worth of their own. Ironic, eh? Who’s zoomin’ who here?

Who really appreciates the inherent, unique gift of womanhood? Those who just want to use the egg and rent the womb but refuse the mother, or those who know that a mother is irreplaceable in a child’s life?

Who really values women? Those who think plastic surgery and pills can turn a man into a woman, or those who understand the feminine genius that goes beyond boobs and makeup?

Who really respects a woman’s body? Those who believe it’s necessary to shut down her natural, healthy fertility with carcinogenic hormones, and even intentionally damage a healthy, functioning organ with crazy devices? No way. Doing damage to a woman’s health and body in the name of “equality” doesn’t sound very equal to me.

Fertility and child-bearing are part of the whole package of a woman. You can’t claim to value women, or champion women’s rights or equality and then pick her apart like you’re scouring a used car for spare parts. You can’t take what’s useful to you and leave the rest of her.

You can’t fabricate a sterile “woman” out of a man’s body and call him a woman. A woman is nobody’s Play-doh creation. She’s the marvelous handiwork of God. Her physical body, her feminine nature, her mind, her gifts and her strengths are all designed with intent and purpose by Him out of great love.

Respect the whole woman — her body, her fertility, her nature that is complementary to a man’s, her motherhood — or you don’t really respect her at all.

But it’s time to state what has become obvious to legions of frustrated young women: It doesn’t bring out the best in men.

The idea of the full-grown man living as an adolescent guy, who is only out for himself, isn’t masculinity but a betrayal of what a man is supposed to be. Furthermore, porn twists a man into believing that he is masculine by conquering women for his sexual gratification. It isn’t being manly at all. Think of a man that you look up to. I am not talking about a movie star, musician, or athlete. I mean someone who is a real example of humble virtue. Someone who is a true leader of others. They certainly aren’t the kind of man who looks at porn, can’t hold down a job due to bad habits, is selfish, or immature.

We need to stand up to this corruption of masculinity and really live out . To be a real man is just what I posted a several years back – it is to respect, protect, love, and serve.

We must live this true calling of being a man out, model it for others, teach it to our children, and challenge others to live it out. We cannot sit back and allow the culture which turns men into pleasure-seeking, bumbling, incompetent fools do it for us. They see men, fathers, and husbands as incapable of real virtue.

These issues are not only killing masculinity, they are also killing femininity. Because only when masculinity is truly lived properly will femininity flourish.

So, where do we start? We start with discovering what a masculine man is NOT:

an emasculated ninny.
a testosterone infused sack of passions.
going to turn away from a challenge, just because it is difficult.

A masculine man is this ->

A man who desperately seeks to follow in the footsteps of THE MAN.
He will be courageous in the face of danger.
He will fight for and maintain self control.
He will put to death his lusts.
He will be in control of his emotions and yet not afraid of them.
He will find himself in losing himself.
He is humble, but sure of the gifts God has given him.
He is gentle when he should be and rough when necessary.
He is a man of strength of character and his word means something.
He says I am sorry, thank you, and please.
He fulfills his promises.
He isn’t ashamed of his Lord or either of his mothers.
He holds open doors, looks people in the eye, and has confidence in himself.
He will put life in the proper order – 1 – God; 2 – His wife (if he has one); 3 – His children (if he has them) 4 – Others; 5 – Himself

A real man isn’t afraid of his masculine traits, but embraces them as a gift from God. He doesn’t abuse them, but understands the way to use them in service of God and others.

It is time we men resurrect true masculinity. It is time for men to grow up.

I has been 33 years ago, but when I was saved at the age of 32, ALL HELL broke loose within 36 hours. I prayed to receive Jesus on a Sat. night, and was at the church door the next morning, and made it public. The next day when I got up, I literally saw black, transparent human-like figures coming down the stairs to where I was in the living room, TRYING to read my bible. I was about as scared as I have ever been in my life, since I innately knew these were EVIL. I had no idea what to do, and ran out of my house. After several days, and thinking I was going crazy, my brother-in-law who was a new Christian, told me what was happening. He said Satan was SO mad because I didn't belong to him anymore, that he was having a demonic SNIT, and trying to get me to believe it wasn't real. He also told me to confront him and tell him NOTHING he could do could take my salvation away, and for him to HIT THE ROAD "in Jesus' name". I had to do that a ga-zillion times for the next week or so, but things finally stopped. But that fear did cause my baptism to be somewhat anti-climactic , as I was still in the throws of utter fear that night.
I will pray HARD for your son right now, and that Jesus will send him angelic protection to guard him from Satan and his "posse". Tell your son to command the demons (lizards, etc.) to leave in Jesus' name, and that he knows they MUST obey Jesus. I promise to pray for your son for the next week before bedtime for Jesus' protection.
Please re-post and let us know how he is doing. I SO feel for him - just the most scary thing in the world.

I don't know if what I'm seeing is truely what I'm thinking that I'm seeing.

I don't spend a ton of time on forums and that sort of thing. I post here more than anywhere else. The moderators know how long I've been around, and my small number of post show's just how much of an active poster I am.

But I do "lurk" a lot on all sorts of comment threads. Especially on many different news sites.

Consistantly, everywhere I go, when our faith is brought up, Christians, Christianity, our Lord Jesus, the Bible are all mocked and put down in some of the most shocking and vile ways.

It seems to me like it's EVERYWHERE!

I mean, in my day to day life I don't run into it a lot.

But online, you can't go anyplace without us being verbally ripped to pieces.

So your opinions.... what do you think. Am I getting an accurate picture about how our culture feels about us and our faith? Are we at the cusp of actual literal physical persecution here?

Or.... am I just stumbling on the reactions of a bunch of sad individuals that simply prowl the comment lines of all news outlets in the world to talk down and insult believers? All from the comfort of their mother's basements.

I'm of the opinion that this is really how the public at large is feeling, it's just that the computer lets them vocalize it more. People in day to day interactions are at this point, still too polite to act like this in person... just yet.

It's just so thick out there. The way people are speaking, they all think we're no better than ISIS and should be destroyed. Really, I see it over and over again.... these people are saying that we "christians" are no better than ISIS.

I think these lost souls are looking (though they'd denie it) for a reason to cut loose on believers and really start harming us..... it's just under the surface.

As the bird had only been partially digested (indicating death of the Sinocalliopteryx had occurred not long after its last meal) the researchers were even able to identify the species of the bird: Confuciusornis sanctus.

McCrory took time out from his gymnastics defending North Carolina’s bathroom bill in order to issue an official statement with some verbal jujitsu. The governor lauded the fact that North Carolina’s “common sense” approach to keeping a lot of folks from voting had been affirmed by a judge’s ruling, which struck down a challenge to the law.

The New York Times summarized the restrictive voting rights bill and the ruling that upheld it:

“The opinion, by Judge Thomas D. Schroeder of Federal District Court in Winston-Salem, upheld the repeal of a provision that allowed people to register and vote on the same day. It also upheld a seven-day reduction in the early-voting period; the end of preregistration, which allowed some people to sign up before their 18th birthdays; and the repeal of a provision that allowed for the counting of ballots cast outside voters’ home precinct.

It also left intact North Carolina’s voter identification requirement, which legislators softened last year to permit residents to cast ballots, even if they lack the required documentation, if they submit affidavits.”

The governor’s two-sentence statement likened the constitutionally-guaranteed right of citizens to vote as the same as buying Sudafed or boarding a jet.

“This ruling further affirms that requiring a photo ID in order to vote is not only common-sense, it’s constitutional,” said Governor McCrory. “Common practices like boarding an airplane and purchasing Sudafed require photo ID and thankfully a federal court has ensured our citizens will have the same protection for their basic right to vote.”

In hopes of reducing the manufacture of methamphetamine, many states require a customer to present a photo ID when purchasing Sudafed and other decongestants that contain pseudoephedrine, a precursor drug to the illegal drug. In 2013, North Carolina busted up 513 meth labs.

By likening voting rights to buying Sudafed, the governor appears to be arguing that preventing some people from voting is an act of public health, like keeping dangerous drugs out of the hands of the wrong people.

A quick glance at the Constitution does not reveal any provision in its amendments for flying or treating a cold, but seems pretty clear on who has the right to vote.

Changing the shirt with the large stain down the front? Staying out of pajamas until it's actually bedtime? We will be teaching our children an invaluable lesson about the importance of marriage. And although we won't get any public accolades, we'll certainly receive many deeper benefits and pleasures. Because we don't really have a casual attitude towards our marriages. We really do give a hoot.

The Bible says we are to capture thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God (II Corinthians 10:5). Prosecutors say that Hastert sexually abused at least four boys.

The former GOP leader has acknowledged that he “committed transgressions for which he is profoundly sorry.”

In a letter to the judge who will be sentencing Hastert in the banking violation case, DeLay defended Hastert as a good, godly man with very few flaws and who “doesn’t deserve what he is going through.”

Although DeLay's letter is undated, the Chicago Tribune notes that most of the letters in support of Hastert were “written in late February and early March — before prosecutors detailed sex abuse allegations against Hastert from decades ago.” Although prosecutors only recently laid out the new charges against Hastert, the allegations of child abuse were widely reported in May of last year.

But while Tom Delay may not think that Dennis Hastert deserves the public shame of being called a child abuser, he doesn’t feel the same way about LGBT people. After all, this is the same Tom DeLay who has demonized LGBT people by grouping them with pedophiles.

Just days after the Supreme Court delivered its landmark marriage equality decision, DeLay claimed that he knew of “a secret memo coming out of the Justice Department” that would legalize “12 new perversions,” including “having sexual with little boys.”

I was teaching at this school in Toronto today and I was lucky enough to sit through an Earth Day assembly. It was very educational. Unlike a typical school assembly, this gathering was in many ways very similar to a Southern Black Baptist church service. There was singing and shouting. One of the songs was "We've got the whole world in our hands", which I guess is the Leftist version of "He's got the whole world in His hands". It's revealing when you think about it. It's not just that we have to take care of the world; it's that we are gods and the world is our kingdom. It's that since we are atheists, the Left generally and environmentalism specifically is our religion. I looked at the student body, a group of kids aged 5-12, and I looked at the teachers and the parents who had come, and what I saw was a sea of ecstatic faces with glazed over eyes. They had all been indoctrinated into this cult long ago. I saw a choir of brainwashed 4th graders, singing about how we should only use what we need, and how it was our moral responsibility to re-use and recycle all that we use. I saw a slide show of polluted waters, littered fields, and carbon-belching smokestacks, all set to sinister sounding music, and I heard people (kids and adults) shout out in horror and anger at those pictures. It reminded me of the "two- minutes hate" from Orwell's 1984. Kids were actually crying during this slide show. The last slides were of hippy children and adults wearing Earth Day t-shirts and flowers in their hair picking up and throwing away litter. (By the way, there were several children and teachers at the assembly who had flowers in their hair.) At the sight of these last couple of slides, the audience cheered ecstatically (much like at the sight of Big Brother at the end of two-minutes hate).

As I said, this was not a school assembly in the typical sense; this was a meeting of a religious cult. When men like Mark Steyn, Dennis Prager, Mark Levin, and the people at PJTV talk about how the Left is taking over America (which is the last place in the civilized world where their takeover is not yet complete) it is crucial to realize that this is not hyperbole on their part--It is a literal description. It is not alarmist or xenophobic to call out the Left for their attempt to undermine the American revolution and replace it with their own modern brand of Marxism. The First of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me". When God gave Moses this Commandment 3,500 years ago, God may have been referring to Baal or Molech or any number of idols that other civilizations sacrificed their children to. Nevertheless, despite the fact that these idols are no longer relevant, this Commandment remains entirely applicable today. The false gods of today include: nature, social justice, cultural and moral relativism, feminism, gender equality (which is code for undermining the family), and anything else the Left values. The best way to smash these idols is for those of us who were chosen by God to reveal Him to the nations, to continue to affirm the One true God of Israel and to proclaim His name and His Law throughout the Land. If we don't, the Left will win. If this is frightening to you, so be it. If fear is what it takes to motivate us to defeat the Left, then it is worth it to be afraid.

1. The American Association of Pediatrics is the official, nationally-recognized organization for representing pediatricians. It has over 60,000 members nationwide and publishes the respected Journal of Pediatrics.

2. The American College of Pediatricians was founded in 2002, specifically to oppose everything the AAP says. They have somewhere around 200 members (at best) and put forth no scientific evidence to support their positions. Those positions are basically the Republican platform on everything medical. In other words, they're a fringe group that exists solely to oppose liberal ideas and the AAP, while sounding like a legitimate medical organization so that right-wingers can quote them and sound important.

To propose the expulsion of Arabs is considered racist according to Israeli law and can land the one espousing such words in prison. That has to change and will change if we wish to retain our Jewish homeland and if we wish to live in peace, security and tranquility. There is no other alternative.

Israel will survive

It is likely that when Israel ultimately takes the type of action that it needs to take to finally quell Arab terror and to distance the hostile Arabs from Israel, that this will bring international condemnation and sanctions against Israel. Better sanctions and life for the Jews and the Jewish state, than accolades, Auschwitz and funerals and flower sympathy wreaths to be laid at a new Yad Vashem that will G-d forbid memorialize the Jewish state that was. Israel will survive, but Israel will need to wise up and legalize the only program that could yet save the state. Legalization of Kahane? Call it whatever you want or show me another alternative that is based on Torah and/or logic that could save Israel.

My support for progressive policies is motivated by a firm belief that most people are crazy, evil, or just plain stupid and cannot be left to their own devices without ultimately screwing themselves and/or others. The irony is that while mental illness is regarded as grounds for leniency, I could argue that diminished faculties means they're more likely to require strong external controls and simple, powerful associations between undesirable behaviors and negative consequences. If only we really could "throw away" all the clinical psychopaths (as defined by patterns of behavior and/or measurable physical differences in brain structure): throw every banker, MBA, and Republican politician in jail.
